Nate finally forced himself to look at her.
Out on the dance floor with Laney, Mo finally seemed to be getting used to the twirling and movement. The apprentice even felt confident enough to try her hand at conversation for a change. "So... You're really good at this. What do you like to do when you're not doing this?"New couples came and left as the pair traveled the floor.
Over at the food station, Lewis was enjoying a nice bowl of chicken noodle. Movement in his peripheral vision caught the sorcerer's eye while he stirred his soup, and Lewis looked up questioningly as several food groups suddenly took to the air back and forth. For a moment, he almost thought Mo's dance had finished and his two coworkers were going at it again, but a closer look showed it to be the gentleman from the meat table involved with one of the hostesses of the event. The sorcerer enjoyed more soup, watching as the pair cleared away trays. They were soon joined by one of the women from the fruit table, and Lewis watched as the other woman stepped off to dance with a very tall man in blue. Seeing an opportunity Lewis went over to harvest some remaining pineapple, watermelon, and a couple of bananas. A woman in an orange dress with countless, bouncy ribbons offered Lewis a friendly nod as he passed, and he returned her greeting with a polite nod and wave of his own before she too, headed out to the dance floor."Huh... Lots of people here tonight..."

Noticing the knights uncertainty, Nef slows down so he's walking beside her and lightly places a hand against her back. He gently guides her through and away from the noise until they make it to the kitchens. He hesitates a moment as he tries to figure out where they are meant to be placing the trays.

Well now wasn't that curious...
The knight turned her head toward the mechanic as she and Nef passed by with the trays, an inquisitive smile present. The entire night she had heard this tall young man speak with a stutter, so to hear it suddenly drop caused some pause. "Oh it's fine!" she replied to him as they went through the dancefloor, "You two enjoy yourselves! I've got something to keep me occupied now!" She laughed, raising the tray in her hand for him to see.
Once she and the dragon had made their way through the people and into the kitchen, she paused alongside him, her head swiveling slightly to the hustle and bustle of the busy room. It smelled heavenly in there!

Solsi smiled and took Gigi's hand."All right!"When the new music picked up, it was a familiar tune...light, and playful. It was definitely not one she expected, but she could work with it. Solsi giggled."Here we go. Ready?"She twirled them out onto the floor and danced a form of the Viennese waltz to the tune.
Danny kept her arms crossed, looking away. She was firm on her alleged stance on the matter."Th-that's right. I mean, might as well take the opportunity to get stronger."she claimed. Her friends and family didn't have the heart to break it to her, but not only did she lack every culinary instinct known to man, she also was frighteningly ignorant in the realm of common sense. More than once her family's personal chef had to put fires out behind her back...literally.
With all the people coming and going around the refreshment table, Jessie tried to be polite and stay out of their way. She scooted around until eventually she found herself standing side-by-side with Lewis. He seemed to be preoccupied filling his plate, and she with watching the dancers. She smiled contently as she took in the ambiance of the room."Are you waiting for your chance to join them?"she asked him out of the blue. Jessie had a little habit of blurting things out.

"I never learned how." She starts walking along the wall, eyes now searching through the attendees as she seems to talk to herself, "Now what is the best way to cause mischief without overly frightening the children?" It was a truly good question as she could sense other powerful beings nearby and upsetting the neighbors before being able to properly set up shop in a world never ends well.
(A wild host appears, guess I need to stop being lazy and respond to everyone then.)

The dragon is honestly not sure what to do now, he has never actually been in a kitchen before. He settles for placing the dirty trays with what he hopes is other dirty dishes before looking around helplessly.

The kitchen was large and filled with shelves of pots, pans, cooking utensils, and a plethora of serving trays both filled and no. In the back there was the sound of cooks working away at making more platters of food, and the scent of freshly cooked meat wafted from somewhere currently unseen. A few men and women in cooking garb wheeled carts filled with yet to be prepped fruits and vegetables while another sliced oranges into discs and placed them in a fruit punch bowl. Lucky placed her tray with other dirty ones and and opened an industrial fridge with new platters of fruit at the ready. She held out one close enough to Cidri so the smaller girl could feel for it and reach. "Would you mind taking this tray out with us?" As an afterthought, she turned her attention to Nef, ready to warn him to leave the cooks in the back alone -she had experience with hungry dragons and their carnivorous appetites- but then paused, seeing his expression. She smiled playfully. "What? Doesn't your casino have a kitchen?"

The elf can't help a giggle as well as she's swept up in the fun of the dance. "Always ready for a dance~" She follows the lead that Solsi sets, giving more happy giggles as they go. "You dance divinely~" (That dress is so pretty and good for twirls. emotion_kirakira )
