Tam sighs with relief. "Thank heavens, I hate overdone meat." he says with a bitter chuckle. "Need anything else done or should I just set the table?"

So Tam gets down the plates and drinking bowls for the lions and a mug for himself. Then he begins to slice some homemade bread and places it on a plate next to a tub of fresh churned butter. He's wondering what else they need to put out when Hopian calls him into the living room.
When he enters the room he findshe salamander shivering in the fire and the grate in need of wood. Realizing that this may have been what caused the problem in the first place, He quickly hauls in more wood, promising the tiny lizard he'd be more careful about keeping it stocked in the future.

Soon everyone is sitting down in the kitchen table for a late dinner. Tam smiles at everyone and announces. "Better late than never, I always say... dig in everyone?"

Tam smiles to himself. There was a certain little lizard who'd be spending the next few days desperately trying to prove his worthiness to the entire household... kind of like a certain little black lion when he got in trouble. Knowing the both of them, it wouldn't be long before something interesting happened.

Tam finishes his meal and since Kero cooked, he does the dishes, d oing a quick wash up afterward. then walks into the living room to listen to Kero read Salunia a bedtime story. Sitting by the fire, drying his hair, Tam talks to Fortuny about the upcoming addition.
"So do you have a name picked out?" he asks pulling a wide toothed comb through his damp locks and then braiding it back out of the way.

Tam shakes his head. "Different cultures, different ways... did ye know that in some, the child picks out his own name? The parents give them a use name when they are born, then when they are old enough they go on a spirit walk to find their true name." He smiles at her. "Of course, they are very careful of the names they chose... even if they like their old ones... being calling Little Hopping Frog could get a bit trying when yer the chief of a tribe."

*Fortuny chuckles*
We read a child's true name at birth....and then work from there...

Tam smiles gently at her. "I go by many names but have but one true name. Few know it, do you? It rather simple, I'm afraid. Nothing impressive."

Tam smiles at her. "My name is what I am, it is no other. Sometimes we need to live up to our names, sometimes they define who we are. As for me... I am Ai."
