A sniffling from the doorway makes them both turn around. "I...I knowa... I huwrt daddy baaad.... Uncwel Tam says hewl be fine... but he huwrts wots..." Salunia creeps in with her tail between her legs. "Puss tawks?" she said softly. "He no tawk to me."

Sal, I can communicate mind to mind with lesser creatures...it comes easily to me. And I know you know about Fire...so I'm simply going to take you outside, and teach you a couple of lessons.
**Not what it sounds like...he's going to teach her about fire itself...as Fire is Air's closest ally, it would behoove her to know the basics anyways...but he's also trying to scare her a little...he's more than a little irked**

**He's not even going to make the lesson scary....but he is putting on an air like she will be paddled for this, draping himself in that attitude...the lesson itself is going to be about fire in general...such as how it lives...and he'll introduce her to Thyrion...**

She follows him out, but her tail is still firmly tucked between her legs and her chin almost drags the ground. "Hit me good, Kewo..." she begs sadly. "I deswerve it."

Now when did I say I was going to hit you, Salunia...what happened, while it may not have been completely an accident, was for the most part due to a lack of knowledge on your part...you lived with Honorian, whose power revolves around Fire...and probably didn't learn the respect you should have for it. So, with no other expert in the field, I'm here. Did you know I was a Firemage, Sal? Well, I am. So, without further ado, could you please go and get me a small branch from the hearth with which to start a fire out here?

Tam and I enchanted it....and triggered the enchantment to his chair...whenever he sits down, a salamander who works with me flares, igniting the fire.
*Takes the wood and builds a small fire with it*
Now, Salunia...I'm going to ask you a difficult question...what is fire?

Fire is the essence of both Purification and destruction, Sal...like all things, it has it's good side, and it's bad side...it's a wonderful friend, but a very bad master...now, There's someone I'd like you to meet...*Crooks a paw at the flames...and a Lizard appears...and begins scolding Kero for calling him again*
At this rate you will drain your magical core to ash, and then where will you be?

Thyrion is a salamander...a lizard that lives in, and is made of, Fire. He is also one of my closest friends. He was the first elemental I summoned...you see, Salunia...Fire can do great good...but it must be kept under control...Thyrion there is very dangerous to my foes...and a great comfort to me.
**Imagine having a real Salamander ride around on yer arm like ye used to have Iggy do...because that's how big I imagine them to be...**

She smiles at the lizard but Kero can see she's kind of scared, too, amd her next works explain why. "Uncwel Tam says I am wike daddy and mommy... wont it hurwt me?"

Your mommy and daddy are lightning, Sal...you are purest Air...and Fire and Air are allies...Thyrion won't hurt you...but be wary, for Fire can consume Air as easily as air can snuff a flame...now, as for Fire itself...would you like to learn how to make things happen with one, without causing problems?
