"Goeiedag (Good day to you), Saeki" Patrick greeted his boyfriend on the phone. He had answered the phone as soon as he heard it. "I had a wet dream about you last night" he said to Saeki softly. His day had started differently as one would expect when adding in another member to the household. Didn't do his morning exercise, but he did do a brisk shower to freshen up. The new feline name was Emerald and he was limiting the interaction between her and Hiro which wasn't hard because she has been mostly staying in the carrier. She seemed to like the outdoors with how she was looking outside when he was tending to the property grounds. He thought it was cute when he was witnessing Hiro's attempts to help Emerald adjust to her new home. With their personalities being similar it doesn't seem like they won't have trouble getting along in the future. "How's it going with your new companion?" he asked him. Currently the felines were playing around with a ball of yarn and passing it back and forth with each other. "I was thinking we and the pets could meet up at the park this late afternoon" he suggested. No clue how the cats would react with a canine, but to find out sooner than later.

╔══════════════╗ Patrick knew full well that he wouldn't be seeing his reaction, but his imagination based on the expressions he had seen his boyfriend make in the past made up for it for the time being. "With how good of a kisser you are. I'm sure you will do very well when the time comes" he said reassuring him. The dream took place in a water cave so for it to be possible he would have to learn how to swim and be good at it. He was content with the progress of their relationship and very comfortable with it yet not get against going to the next step if his partner is ready for it. "The dreams and fantasies are satisfying enough for now. Your happiness is my happiness" he said what was meant to be talking to himself. "There were some difficulties at the start, and with Hiro's assistance things are flowing. Would have to make a raincheck on that date for tomorrow" he responded. He yawned a little and tried to do it next to the phone receiver. "An hour before evening time would be good. We'll see you guys at our secluded spot. See you soon, Saeki" he answered before hanging up the phone after hearing a response from his boyfriend. He was going to take a nap in the main bedroom and have Emerald in there with him to keep the two felines separate because he cannot supervise while asleep.

╔══════════════╗ Instead of Hiro waking up Patrick it was Emerald since the sleeping arrangements are still the same. Emerald trilled near his ear which woke up Patrick from his dream about Saeki. "Not a sound I was expecting to wake up to" he thought as he sat up then pet the feline on the head. Hiro was waiting outside of the bedroom door and came right in as soon as the door was opened. Today their owner a little later in the morning than he usually would and knew he can't be sleeping in too many days. Tomorrow started another week and it was back to work at the candy store. He was going to do what he told Saeki to do with Aki to prevent separation anxiety by leaving them alone at the house for small amounts at a time. Emerald sneaked her way into the bathroom while Patrick was showering while Hiro stayed out of the bathroom like he normally does. When Patrick was drying off his hair he used the home phone to call Saeki then put it on speaker as soon as he heard that the call connected.

╔══════════════╗ "Good morning to you too, sweet lumps" Patrick greeted back. He headed to the kitchen to pour food into the kittens' food dish and make sure there was water in the water dish. The kittens came sprinting into the kitchen and started eating their food right away. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything. I called to tell you that....if you two don't have anything planned today...I was thinking that the pets could have a play date then we have a Sunday dinner afterwards" he explained why he was calling, and spoke loud enough to be heard while he was away from the phone. He didn't want to impose on the other if he wanted to spend more quality time with Aki. He made sure to phrase it so that the answer doesn't simply have to be 'yes' or 'no' and open for suggestions. He returned to the phone after dropping off the towel to the hamper.

╔══════════════╗ Patrick sighed a little, "Wish I was there to capture such a scene on film" he said out loud when the other mentioned morning jog with his dog. He thought it was cute that Saeki gets to have his little 'pet in the background while on the phone moment' now that he has a pet of his own. "At three on your street where the pathways are for the playdate since there is very little foot traffic over there then Sunday dinner after playtime is over if that is alright with you. I will bring a side dish and dessert" he answered him. He went with picking an outdoor location because he wasn't certain if the pet play time is ready to be indoor yet. He assumed with them worn out they would be fine there during dinner time. All the while getting out ingredients for the dishes he was responsible for the Sunday dinner in the kitchen. What he was making would be finished in time for the meet up time and carried in a bag to keep them warm until it is time to dig into them later on.

╔══════════════╗ "That would look nicely as a wallpaper for my desktop. It will be a special fan-service for me" said Patrick replied to the promise to the selfie. "Can't say for sure when I can get back to waking up early enough to join you guys. I'm the sort of person to not use alarm clocks'' he said over the phone. He thought it could be nice if he went with Emerald since she likes to be active and so far he walks her on a leash. He liked that the other sounded so enthusiastic about the meet up. "Yes, that is correct, Saeki" he responded. "See you soon, sweetie" he said before hanging up. Felt natural to swapping pet names with his boyfriend at this point. He started making the side dish first while the kittens were running around the house. Some time later, the food he was responsible for was ready and in the carry-on bag and the kittens were ready to go. He double checked he didn't forget anything then left with the kittens to go to the meeting spot for Lumiere district.[exit]

╔══════════════╗ Patrick woke up feeling downcast and didn't feel motivated to do more than the bare minimum. Today was just one of those for him and faking emotions wasn't something he was any good at. Good thing he didn't have anything planned, but in case his boyfriend had anything planned for them he decided it is the right decision to call him now rather than later. The kittens were doing their own thing while Patrick pressed the speed dial button to call Saeki with. The young male presses the speaker button next while waiting for a response from the other end. With his boyfriend's track in answering his calls he didn't have any doubts about the other answering the phone call. Went over to the kitchen and prepared the kittens' breakfast then went on to getting himself a bowl of mixed comfort food.

╔══════════════╗ "Not well" Patrick answered Saeki through the phone receiver. “You can call anytime and I will pick up” he said to him. “I called this time because...I’m not in the mood to leave the house today. So, I wanted to tell you that in case you had plans involving us together today” he explained why he was calling him. “Wednesday’s date is still on. That plan hasn't changed" he assured him right away. "I will talk to you later, Saeki" he said before hanging up. He pondered over what to eat as comfort food and after a moment decided to go with his hidden Halloween candy stash. He melted down the chocolate minutes later and started dripping fruits in it with a pair of chopsticks like bananas and apple slices. "Took some time, but totally worth it. I wonder if this will do well with potato chips" he thought out loud. In the meantime, the felines were playing on the couch in the living room after leaving the kitchen a while back.

  Saeki felt bad for his boyfriend. Of course he preferred they felt amazing, but he knew no one really felt great all the time, heck he didn’t always either. He totally understood Patrick’s sight on it. Before he could really ask questions though, the other had hung up and the young man was left standing at his own phone as he wondered what had happened to cause his beloved to feel so down. Still, they said they didn’t feel like leaving the house. You didn’t need to leave the house to have a nice time together. And it really sounded like Patrick could use a pick me up today. Deciding his plan for today the swordsman lay down his phone and he returned to the kitchen, washed his hands and arms and then decided to make some lunch. His lunches always seemed to cheer his boyfriend up, so perhaps it would help. After thinking it over a bit, Saeki started with his bento-cheer-up-Patrick plan and he worked on a large bento they could share, making sure it had a lot of cheering up colors and symbols. It wasn’t certain it would help, but the young man was definitely willing to try. Once he was all packed and ready, leaving Aki with his neighbor for now, he walked to Patrick’s house and knocked on the door and stepped back a bit as he waited. Saeki hoped that Patrick hadn’t meant he wanted to be alone, but surely if that was the case he would have told him clearly? If need be, Saeki could just deliver the bento and go back home if they did end up wanting some time by themselves. ╔══════════════╗ Patrick was playing moonlight sonata on his piano when he heard the knocking through the open doorway of the piano room. He turned a little and caught sight of the kittens heading in the direction of the door. "I don't think I was imagining that knocking sound" he thought then pulled the piano keys. He got up off the stool and he was just in his underwear so he grabbed a robe on the way to the front door. Looked through the peekhole to see it was boyfriend and he was relieved to see it wasn't a door salesman or an organization recruiter. "What a nice surprise. Come on in'' he greeted the younger male after opening the front door. He wasn’t in the mood to fake a smile and not making direct eye contact, but he did speak softly. Stepped to the side to let Saeki in if the other male wanted to come in. This was the first time he had a guest over while he was down in the dumps. He was usually left alone to deal with days like these, however, he wasn’t against his boyfriend being here.

Saeki waited at the door hoping that his boyfriend didn’t mind him coming to the house. They had sounded rather down or troubled. What if they wanted to be alone for today? The young man hoped he wasn’t being intrusive now. They didn’t say not to come visit though. His musings were interrupted and his worries stilled when Patrick opened the door though. They looked surprised, but not in a bad way and didn’t seem to mind that Saeki came to the house. The swordsman walked in as they invited him in. "I’m glad you don’t mind. I just came over. I worried a bit for you after our phone call. You said you didn’t feel like leaving the house, so I hoped you wouldn’t mind having me over at your place." he explained as he turned to Patrick and gave them a gentle smile. Once the door closed, Saeki took off his shoes before walking further in and held up the bag that held the bento he made. "You always seem to love it when I make bento, so I decided to go for it and bring you some." Saeki said happily. ╔══════════════╗ Patrick closed and locked the door once his boyfriend was inside the house. "That's understandable. I did disclose my mental health history to you early on in our relationship, and yes I don't mind you being here" he responded. He made sure the two kittens didn't escape outside while he wasn't looking then spoke again after locating Hiro and Emerald nearby. "I quite like your surprises" he admitted and smiled slightly. He looked to the bag Saeki held up, "Comfort food?" he questioned in his mind. "That is a great decision. It is true that I love it when you make the bentos" he replied softly. He started walking to the kitchen, "Favorite meals do count as comfort food too" he thought to himself. "Would you like something to drink?" he asked before pouring himself a cup of water. After seeing it was the human, Saeki was at the door, the kittens returned to the living room and started playing with their three-level roller cat toy.
