She smiles warmly at him. "Good... I'd hoped you would say that. Look... he's damaged goods, but he's young, so he should pull through, though he may be scarred for life, unable to get beyond a certain level of relationships. I got an idea of what he's going through last night and saw what he was doing... not sure if you noticed it or not as you were in the vortex with him. Since he's realized he was the focus of the attack... and I'll be damned how he picked that up... something must have slipped past one of our screens... Anyway... since he knows this, he's trying to keep from getting close to people... I think to protect them. Not very logical, seeing as anyone after him wouldn't give a damn how close he was to those he was with, only how strong we were in protecting him... still the logic of a child can be somewhat convoluted."

Indeed....*His shields inform him Passura is listening now*...But he should know that, for know, he is safe, and so are those around him....you may have qualms about Killing, Lyssan, but I am very like my master...if it must be done, it must be done. If I must kill someone who is attacking my son, I will....and there's not a mortal alive who can take me down, unless they are armed with your own element....would you please get your foot off my leg, by the way...that burns.
Anyways, I will protect him...he needs to focus on being a kid...there's a whole new world of opportunities open to him, and I want him to explore them. And I'll be there for him, whenever he needs me. That's what Love is about. If he doesn't return it, I will understand...If he does, I will be overjoyed. *Perks his ears up* And if he doesn't get back in bed, he won't be overjoyed, he'll be over-KNEEd.

Lyssan grins back. "Then I'll leave you for now. Tam and Bez had their hands full last night, keeping the shields tight about the girls. And knowing my child, he's not had one wink of sleep and worrying about you and Pasa. I'm going to go kidnapped my granddaughters and take them for a ride on Grandma Dragon's back. Maybe I'll even take them for a short visit to see their Grandpa... providing I can get Bez's permission. Those two need a break... A few hours won't hurt anyone and don't worry... I'll get them both back in time for their next feeding."

The boy's head comes around the doorway, he takes one peak at Kero, gives a tiny cry of dismay and runs for his room.
Lyssan laughs. "Oh Great! Now he thinks you're going to eat him... Better go settle him down, Kero. I'm off. see you later. And if you need help... Tam's next door. He's had experience with broken minds, having lived through one himself."

He sits up and looks at him with a frown. "You eat rocks?" He knows that this is true, but it still seems odd. How can anything eat rocks and live?

Yes....I can eat crystals...quite literally....they're really tasty...most of them...those two you have on your wrist aren't, however.

Mama used to make me eat a moonstone when I said bad words...and Onyx tastes like licorice...some dragons like it...I don't.
