*An arrogant smirk crosses his face*
Simple...Why? How? And can I do anything to lessen it?
*Coming across Kero, sitting in the middle of the creek, silently meditating, Luciel decides to pull a silly little prank. Silently, he creeps up...then leaps into kero's chest, knocking him into the water. Unfortunately, Kero's combat reflexes kick in, and he throws Luciel far away from him with his tentacles. The red in his eyes is frightening...but then it drains away, and he darts over to Luciel*
Kiddo...speak to me...ye can't suprise me like that, it's dangerous...whoa!
*Luciel, rising from where he had been thrown, a gigantic bruise on one wing, is spitting mad. He begins chattering at Kero in a language unintelligible to Paladine*
vek...vek...vek Tradinias!
*At that word, Kero goes deathly still...when Paladine looks. He is quivering with rage*
I cannot believe I was just called that...by my own younger self. Luciel...were you not destined to be a great mage, I would demand satisfaction from you myself for calling me that.
*Kero's shape blurs into his most natural form, the humanoid tentacled
beast-man. His rage is very apparent, even in his own eyes. He is actively holding himself in check*
Paladine. I will not make many requests as your child. I work alone, as I always have. However, I must request that Luciel be punished for that word. He knows what it means...he was drawing on my knowledge of the language to speak Desert Miner. Until then, I am leaving...how dare ye call me that, Luciel.
*Teleports away, leaving behind a small onyx that soon turns translucent and disappears. Paladine remembers Kero's original warning: "Ye do not want a pissed off Voidmaster on your lands."*

well.... says paladine with a sad chuckle... do ye want to hear the answers to yer three questions... or do ye already understand what ye've done needs to be addressed and why? and while we're at it... what do you suggest i do with ye... this time?

very well... i do understand you were angry because you were hurt... but you were the instigator in that little scenario... had you not attacked kero, you would not have been hurt, correct? remember what i once said about pranks coming back to bite you iffin you weren't careful... well that one bit... big time... and it triggered a response you were not expecting, correct? it happens... you need to understand that... kero did not hurt you on purpose... do you understand this?
unfortunately, if you indeed know what you said and you said it anyway... and if you said it to insult or hurt kero, then you indeed in the wrong... so was it something you spat out without thinking or did you do this on purpose? (and remember, luceil, lying is wrong so tell the truth here)

very well... i kow full well ye can spit acid... so... i am going to give you a monumental task to do... because you have done a monumental booboo...
paladine goes to a nearby cliff and sands it smooth with a touch of magical fire.... then he points to the cliff face.... you will etch a sincere apology there, using yer acid breath... fill the entire surface... and let's hope he is impressed...

*Luciel blanches...then gets to work. He has just finished carving the first word when an image appears in front of him, and he blanches even whiter. When Paldine comes and looks at what he is seeing, even he is shocked by the rage Kero was holding in. On a private sanctuary, deep within the Void, he has built a monumental place, almost an entire world, and is tearing it down piece by piece. His eyes are ruby red, hateful and malicious. Even Paladine is a touch frightened by this display, as the full weight of Kero's warning slams home. Luciel shudders and gets back to work as Kero unleashes an attacks that sends a gigantic serpent of aethr barreling through a mountain, reducing it to rubble*

*Luciel nods and gets back to work, pushing himself to the breaking point. Finally, one letter away from completion, he collapses, unable to do any more. Paladine finds him there, curled up and exhasted. The whole thing is done, save for the last "Y" in sorry*

(dang... now what did i do here... i could have sworn i posted a reply... oh well....)
paladine covers the sleeping dragonling and finishes the task, taking extreme care to make his addition look like the rest, then he curls up next to Luceil and watches over him, guarding him while he sleeps....
in the mean time, lyssan (after a brief visit with her twin) enters the void and searches for kerobian, but not as a fox nor kracken... or even a dragon... but an odd glowing admix of the three... as she searches the glow slowly diminishes as it is eaten away by the void....

Written around it are elvish words...yet twining through them is a gnarled set of copper wire, ending in two small hooks. The knocker itself is a crown, held aloft by a chain of purest silver. The words on the door are familiar to any well-read creature, as they proclaim an old riddle: Speak friend and enter*
*Meanwhile, Paladine feels a kind of electricity in the air, and his sclaes stand on end as a different lion cub, pure white, circles down in front of him*

"friend" she says wondering why kero would have such an easy password on his domain... then waits to see what happens..... as for paladine, he bows his head in greeting, waiting for the other to speak, but does not move from his protective curl about the dragonling....

Did ye really think my password is so easy. Tolkien's riddle be only the first clue....think back to what ye've read of his.

What happened...I felt my brother fly into a rage, but he's blocking me out? Did Luciel attack him? Call him a name? Break a promise?
