Reshion cocked his head at Garath. Trying not to fly off the handle, he said with a cool head, "Garath. Shut up. I know I've f%*^ed up so far, but this journal is important to me. It's very important that this must be read, and we're not going anywhere at the moment, so what are we supposed to do besides wait for the rest to get back? I also am not liking the way you're looking at me, like I'll end up having another spasm, which I haven't even suffered in a couple of hours." He then turned to Nina. "I apologise if I've been so cross lately. I just killed two humans, and once again had to see the dead corpse of my mother. I haven't slept in God knows how long. So I kinda should be slightly on edge. Once again Nina, I don't mean to disrespect your home or anything, and I WILL make sure to never do it again." Reshion cocked the shotgun with one hand. "How, what are we going to do about these zombies? I don't think it'd be smart to kill them, and attract more attention." He said, looking at Nina, waiting for her sagelike advice.

Nina squeezed Jain back just as tightly and took to hopping when she was let go of. "I missed you too, I missed you too, I missed you too!" She blurted out excitedly and then went on to introduce her new friends. As soon as Jain and Terry had come in and everyone was focused on them, Azrael had leaped out the window, quickly shimmied down the fire escape, and ran away. Crazy b*st*rd. Probably was a criminal; got nervous when he saw the Sarge… She mused as she first noticed he was missing. We don't need extra people anyway. she grumbled mentally.
She laughed as Jain threatened Garath and mouthed, "I'm sorry" to him. Nina noticed as Jain went on to respond to each one of them individually that she spent a particularly long amount of time looking after Crimson, even as she introduced herself to Thomas. She tried as hard as she could to cover up a knowing smile. Whore, WHORE! she screeched happily in her head. She and Jain used those words more in playful terms when talking to each other and Kalila than the insulting usage people associate with them. To add on to it, when Nina had threatened Reshion, Jain had giggled like schoolgirl. She's diggin' two of them! A chick and guy… It's those crazy bisexual hormones of hers... she thought jokingly, mentally laugh and trying very hard not to laugh in real life.

Instead she turned her attention to Crimson's complete confusion. "Well... The Sarge and Jain are here, as you can obviously see. The guy who left was obviously some type of psycho. Kalila's group isn't coming anytime soon to the area because I told them not to. I rather them not get completely involved in this nightmare. When it's passed, then I'll allow them to come." She said looking at everyone in the group to make sure they understood just how messed up a situation they were in. "Oh Crimson... You've only been out for a three... Maybe three-and-half hours, I think." Nina mumbled, not too sure herself.
Nina jumped a little as Garath Reshion went off on each other. "Whoa guys! Calm down!" she said with a frown as she stepped between the two and held out her hands for them to stop. She was upset and she was glad to know that Garath had sided with her on the subject, but now was not the time to argue about it. She was also taken by surprise at how paranoid Reshion was. How the hell does he know that's what Garath was thinking? Based off a look he gave him? She turned to Reshion. "Reshion... I'll read it and translate it. Just wait..." She said nervously as looked out the window and saw the beginnings of the infected step into the farthest view of her window.

"F*CK!" she blurted out before she could react completely to the situation at hand. A couple things had clicked in Nina's mind at once. When the couple of infected in view had stopped and started sniffing the air, she realized the window was still open and thus their smells were open for the outside world to inhale. She had forgotten to close it. They were also making quite a ruckus with all the excitement, positive or negative. But, luckily, the lights were still off. Nina knew it was useless now to try and cover themselves up because what seemed to be the leader of the pack bellowed out a deep, echoing roar and started galloping in the direction of the house. "We're so screwed..." She mumbled, smacking her hand to her forehead. She walked to the window to get a better look at the infected.
It seemed within a few seconds every direction of the house was surrounded. Just as she looked completely down to see if they were attempting to break down her sturdy fortifications, banging on brick, wood, glass, and metal began to sound loudly. To add on to the situation, corroded nails scratching again the item were heard as well. "No matter how strong my fortifications are, if we keep letting them do that they're going to break them. We have to stop them." She stated near tears. At the moment, she was definitely experiencing something straight from her deepest, darkest nightmares.

"WELL!? Do something!" She screeched harshly as a couple of tears escaped her eyes. She was shaking, but adrenaline was definitely in control at the moment. She snatched the matchbox that was on the window seal and with shaking hands, not sure if it was adrenaline or fear making her shake, she attempted to light a match. Missing a few times, she finally lit one. Quickly she leaned out the window and let it drop to the ground. Nina held her breath as it nearly flicked out, but luckily it was still alit when it hit an infected. It screeched away from the building and stumbled back onto the ground, rolling. It rolled with pain, not intellect that its human self would have know would put a fire out. It was stepped and trampled over by fellow infected, again not with knowledge to put a fire out but plain unawareness.
Nina didn't know it at the moment, but the infected that was burning was emanating the strong pheromones to warn its pack-mates of danger. But the smell of its burning, rotting flesh mixed with the scent was not helping. It made the pheromone unidentifiable to them. Thus, they were blissfully unaware of any danger, except, of course, the ones whom were also being caught afire by the original burning infected. Things managed to get worse for them as said original infected rolled, still alight, into the ring of gasoline surrounding the house. Slowly, but surely the oil began to catch on fire. This was good and bad; the good part was a lot of the surrounding infected were on fire and burning to the death they missed because the surprise kick to the virus. The bad part was they now had light to see better, and there were still a lot of them left that weren't burning. A lot, means a lot.
This was a circumstance Nina had already known ahead of time, but put the plan into action anyway. After all... A good many "zombies" were burning to death.
"...'We don't need no water, let the motherf*ckers burn.'" She slowly looked to everyone. The heat of the surrounding fire could be felt into one burst up. "Well guys... The battle has begun. I advise you guys not to go out until it's safe enough to take them on by close range weapon." she gulped. She wiped away her tears in an attempt to decimate her fear. "Any bright ideas?" The infected definitely spotted them in the light, so now they had a goal for sure.

Staring at his feet, he was listening closely to Nina. We all made some stupid mistakes today and these are the consequences. Terry calmly raised his hand. "I have an idea." Terry answered to their curious faces, "Let me get down to my truck, I have some fragmentation grenades." Terry continued "We'll use those to chop down there numbers then you kids will get in close, Thomas, your with me." he finished. "Before I go, I want to let you kids know this is not the time for rash and/or stupid actions." He said in a menacing tone. Terry took out his M1A1 assault rifle and motioned Thomas to move up as he walked onto the deck.

Thomas directed his attention to Terry as soon as his name was mentioned, he didn't really know why Terry wanted him but it was best not to question him. Besides, he was probably the only one here with actual battle experience, not counting the infected.

Forgetting Nina and everybody else for a moment, he walked over to Terry.

"I'm game."

Thomas gulped as a single bead of sweat trickled down the side of his face.

What am I getting myself into?

"Nina, I'll help Terry for the moment, it's a shame we didn't have that meat ready before hand... We could have used it to distract the zombies AND get them to all gather in the same spot, while at the same time making themselves physically disabled...morso than they already are..."

Thomas glanced to the side, noticing that he probably should have been preparing it a while back, maybe when they were making dinner...

That's right, Terry and Jain havn't eaten yet...

"Nina, don't forget Jain and Terry havn't eaten yet, I'm sure Terry can wait, but Jain you might want to start now while there's still time..." Thomas said looking at Jain with a worried expression.

Thomas turned towards Terry.

"So... What's the plan?"

Terry fired off a few rounds at the zombies getting too comfortable with his truck and two zombies dropped instantly. "The plan is, we go down to my truck, hop into the bed and, I throw 'nades like hell until were clear to take back supplies by hand." Terry continued staring at the hordes of infected in the distance,"Its not smart to take the truck with us with all this fire..." Terry slid down the worn ladder and trusted himself onto the thick pavement. He immediately brought his gun up to its sights and started firing in short precision bursts, clearing the way to the truck, and reloading in mere seconds. It was really up to Thomas if they would make it or not, as he was running low on ammo already. I hope we make it in one piece...

Reshion dropped the shotgun and grabbed the M1A1. He rushed over to the window where he could see Terry and Thomas well, and squeezed a bullet off into a zombie's skull, about 10 feet away from the truck.
"Hurry!" Reshion screamed, squeezing off bullets in quick succesion, not missing. He took care to hit every zombie that mattered, and would cover both Terry and Thomas as long as he could.

Thomas took a deep breath, and readied himself for the upcomming fight. Terry was already at the bottom of the ladder, unloading a few rounds on zombies.

Thomas hurried down the ladder and released the mace ends of his naginatas, smashing a few infected in the head, completely obliterating their skulls. After he killed about 10 that were getting too close, he checked his surroundings, trying to find something that could give them an edge.

There was still alot of un-lit oil, so Thomas scraped the mace balls on the oil, and smashed the zombie that was on fire from the match Nina threw.

Thanks Nina

The small amount of oil that was on the mace balls lit, Thomas flung the flails towards the un-lit oil and lit it, his flails still on fire, he swung at 5 infected at the same time and cut them in half with the chains connecting the mace balls to his Naginatas, and smashing one more in the leg with a single naginata, severing it and catching the zombie on fire.

The flames died and Thomas yanked on the chain, re-connecting the mace balls to the Naginatas. There was little to no damage to the mace balls from the fire, but he would have to wait on using them, at risk of altering their shape and leaving them useless.

Thomas crossed the naginatas in a guard like fashion and walked slowly back to back with Terry, slashing and stabbing at infected that got to close.

"Lets go."

Thomas grumbled, sweat beading on his face.

"I can't do this much longer"

Garath starred out the window. There were too many zombies to count. He started to swear in his thoughts because he knew taht it was partially his fault. He shouldn't have been arguing with Reshion despite his thoughts about him. He sighed. He smiled when Nina threw a bottle out the window and lit the zombies on fire. Well at least one person was doing something. But with the light he saw exactly how many zombies there were. It looked like the odds were impossible with teh amount of ammo they had. When Terry mentioned frag grenades Garath perked up. He listened to the developing plan, he then spoke up adding his own thoughts on the matter. "If we can get to the trucks and clear the area around them using the grenades we might be able to start the trucks up and give them enough room to build up a bit of speed. No zombie could stand a truck going towards it. Cause the longer we stay the more zombies will come to be here making it harder to escape." But at the same time he disliked the idea of running out their into a hoard of zombies to get the grenades or the trucks to escape. It would be foolish but at the same time it would be just as bad to stay put and hope they could wittle them down enough to escape. More zombies would show up and eventually wear them down. He wasn't sure which was worse waiting or going into the mob. He turned to Nina to see her thoughts on the matter and whether she was ok with the plan. She was the resident expert on zombies.

Terry continued firing at the zombies wary of Thomas's bludgeoning maces. Suddenly, a few infected fell out of nowwhere. What the hell he thought to himself as Reshion kept taking down zombies. Damn kid with his rash and/or stupid actio- he was cut off by the sound of a ear spliting richochet and then a low wheeze. One of reshions shots ricocheted off the ground and pierced through rear left tire. Son of a b***h, we just lost an option of escape. He quickly motioned Reshion to stop firing while Thomas covered him. Afterwards, he turned around and pumped bullets into infected until there was a clear path to the truck. Terry and Thomas quickly hopped into the bed. Thomas covered Terry as he gathered the supplies. He packed his vest with Fragmentation grenades and threw some into the distance, where scores of zombies disintigrated in the blasts. "Hold em back, I'm almost done here!" he yelled back to Thomas. Suddenly he spotted his old Barret M107 .50 calibur sniper rifle. Perfect he thought as he packed it on his back. "Alright, Lets move!" He yelled as he threw another Frag grenade.

Thomas impailed a zombie and yanked the Naginata out of it's chest while, dark, almost black blood spewed out.

I have to be careful not to get any blood on me...

Thomas swung the Naginatas to get the blood off of them, and stuck them back on his back, secured in the belts. He then kicked an advancing zombie in the chest, knocking it back into some other zombies, making them fall over, Thomas then curb stomped their heads and ran back to Terry. He heard a crack, followed by a wheezing sound. The truck lowered on one side.

GOD DAMMIT. WHAT. THE. F*CK. WAS. THAT...?!

Thomas glanced up and saw Reshion.

OH MY F*CKING GOD. Didn't terry just tell them NOT to act rash...? Oh well... if it comes down to it, we can change it ourselves at Wal-Mart.

Thomas thought to himself, trying to be optimistic about the situation.

Thomas grabbed a Frag and pulled the pin, he hesitated and then fear engulfed him.

MOVE GOD D*MMIT, MOVE ARM, MOOOVE!!!

Thomas flung the grenade into a crowd of zombies and their bodies were obliterated.

GOD DAMN- MOTHER FU- OH MY-... O_O...

"Go! Go! Go!"

Thomas punched a few other zombies in the head, crushing their skulls on the inside, but not breaking the skin. Thomas was being careful not to cause any more blood shed than neccecary, the more blood, the higher the risk of infection.

"Brilliant... Absolutely Brilliant!" Nina said as she heard Terry's plan. He's just so freakin' bad@$$! She watched as Terry, Thomas, and even Reshion worked together in a group very fluidly. She listened as Garath's idea and smiled. "I'm pretty sure the serge knows that." She said hysterically calm. She whispered, "I saw blood on the front of his grill and windshield when there was still light out." She looked at Jain and gave her a sheepish look. "Are you scared Jainy? Don't be... You're on scare tactics." Nina said jokingly trying to lighten the mood. "This is all fake... Costumes and stuff." She said with a smile and looked towards the window.

There were still burning infected and the ring of fire was still on fire. It seemed the infected could be used as fuel for the fire if the gasoline ever burnt out. There was a row of "Zombies" that were killed in front of and behind Terry and Thomas. There were infected surrounding the area, going down on to the street. But... They're not never-ending! Nina thought happily as she saw there was an end to the mess. "Groups of Zombies are limited! They work in packs! There’re only so much of them that can be accepted into one group! There seems to be... A University worth of these b*st*rds." She said excitedly. The first thing that popped into Nina's mind is how these may have once been friends of Jain or her, how it very well be NYU students. "No Garath, please, we can't leave." She semi-begged. "Kalila's group has to make it to us first and-" Nina was cut off by a loud and deadly sounding blast. "They made it to the truck..." She saw the flash reflect of the building to the window. Terry and Thomas were nowhere in sight now that they were in the front of the building. She turned her attention back to Garath, trying not to ignore the explosions of Grenades and the firing of Reshion's gun. "Plus... Kalila's group might bring items that might come in handy. Or we can ask them for stuff before they get here." She said ironically. "They might have some med-supplies or something for serious injury. They even have an owner of a gun shop with them at the moment. We can definitely use help like that... Right?" She tried desperately to win her case. "You wouldn't want to leave Kalila and Alex until Wal-Mart would you Jain?" She tried to get support for her side.

"Piss!" Reshion screamed, setting the rifle on the floor and slumping over on the floor. "Dammit, I am so stupid." Reshion said, burying his face in his hands.
Dammit.....you HAD to try and help Ren. Idiot. He thought, rushing downstairs, to be alone.
He sat on the couch and laid back, cursing himself silently.

After seeing Thomas practically skewer a infected, he regained his confidence and ran, pulling Thomas with him, back to the deck. He tried firing his M1A1, but he soon realized it was dry. In one motion he slung the rifle on his back and pulled out his pistol and kept firing. "Not far, kid, come on!" He said to Thomas who looked a bit dazed. It's too far in the game to lose now. He pushed Thomas up the ladder as he kicked an infected to the ground and fired the rest of the pistols magazine into its skull. Finally he climbed the ladder, and to safety...

Crimson stood up and stretched out, bending over and touching her toes. Then, she bent backwards, her fingertips grazing the floor. Her reaction time was extremely slow, for she had no time to say that she would have gone along. But, she let Thomas and the military man handle it.

"I've been out that long? I haven't slept like that in years."

After that, she watched Jain for a moment, sizing her up.

Is she bi?

That would explain Jain's second glances, but not only on her, Reshion too. For some reason, that brought some kind of annoyance to Crimson.

Hmm. Am I crushing on someone?
