Mrs. Clark couldn’t recall the last time she’d seen her daughter like this, but it didn’t take long for her to realize that that period never existed. She sat, constantly fidgeting and fighting the urge to check on her daughter with every waking second, but instead relinquished the thought at the tap of her husband who pulled her into his arms and stroked along her waved brown hair. A creak from the house and she’d jerk, keeping him in a half dream state throughout the night. ”Julia… My love…” He’d murmur, running his fingertips down her sleeve. ”She’s fine… It’s just the wind outside.” Her brown eyes flickered up to him, then back down nervously and she sighed. ”I want my baby to be okay…”

She could remember the call from Tyrese Havens clearly, the police doing the same not too long after to report their daughter as missing… The tears that had strewn down her cheeks as she gripped at Ryan’s chest. She fell to her knees while he called Finn, attempting to hold her up throughout the charade. She was a heavy weight in his arms and he stumbled to his knees, gripping her tightly. No answer. Again and again, then her phone, then Finn once more. Nothing. It didn’t take them long to get to the car before they were soaring to Soleil City, the trip unrecognizable with the amount of time spent racing down the highway. Their daughter was missing.

And now, she was home safe. Safe and sound and broken. He swallowed gingerly, exhaling slowly without making eye contact with his wife. Only every so often he’d glance back down to the top of her head, but his focus for the most part remained on the top of the stairs; hoping, and praying, that his daughter would come down - her curls bouncing and a wide smile on her face. Instead, it remained silent in the early morning hours of Christmas. To think only a year ago they had invited their daughter and son-in-law to their house and had something fun, as usual. But now… He sighed. Now their daughter was upstairs, riddled with depression and the unknowing of whether or not the child in her womb would live. She had struggled. The wounds pronounced that clearly. But her abilities could only do so much. Julie shuddered in his arms and once again began to weep. He pulled her closer, rocking back and forth against the arm of the couch.

The night passed slowly; each one of them shifting glances before they would step up the stairs to check on their sleeping daughter. Watching her form rise and fall, they’d then retreat back down and away to the couch downstairs, but not before Mrs. Clark would stop to glance into the baby decor Bree had chosen. They were going to be grandparents - and hoped that they still would be with everything that had gone on. He gently tugged at her arm, a feeble smile playing at his lips and his eyebrows tucked upwards. The sun was rising now, and hopefully their daughter would be feeling a slight bit better now that it was Christmas. Even Tyrese had told them neither him nor Bree could get a hold of Finn for the past several weeks. They remained worried, terrified that their daughter wouldn’t snap out of it and their son-in-law may be missing.

After a few more hours, they both snuck upstairs once more, this time to see Bree’s eyelashes fluttering as she stared blankly at the window. Silence engulfed them and Julia forced a smile to her lips, slipping through the doorway and towards the bed to sit on the edge. She outstretched an arm, grazing her bicep with her fingertips and hummed quietly.
”Merry Christmas, Babygirl..~” More silence followed. ”It’s snowing, do you want to see?” Ryan crossed the room towards the curtains, peeking through and glancing back at his daughter. She didn’t move. Her eyes held an emptiness he had never seen before. ”Or maybe you want some food…? We even have presents for you downstairs…” Her voice was soft, croaking just slightly as she tried to ignore the oncoming tears. They were forceful and weren’t going to bow down to her will anytime soon. Ryan glanced at his wife, swallowed, and looked back out the window. ”Let’s bring them upstairs. You can stay in bed and your mother and I will make you breakfast.” He smiled.

But to them, it was no use.

She laid there silently, hardly closing her eyes to blink much less move her pupils to look elsewhere. Slowly they retreated from her bedroom, glancing one last time through the crevice before heading downstairs to retrieve their gifts and make her breakfast.

Tyrese inhaled sharply through his nose as he entered the waking world, feeling adbruptly shaken out of his dream state as he flopped into his comfort position on his back and with one arm folded over his eyes. What jarred him awake like that? He thought he heard the door. And exactly how early was he up? Or late- he'd gotten here after ten at night from a day of sitting with Lil and Sela, having dinner and getting the dog to go home with the girls. Needless to say, he was tired when he came to check on the depressed brunet. He'd felt a little bad, or rather, intrusive for the Clark's sake after considering how weird this was going to look once he meandered downstairs, obviously having fallen asleep in a married woman's bed. The wolf lingered on the thought, considering their reservation in the matter of him taking over her care in place of Finn, where ever he was. They understood, and trusted him despite the stranger he was. He hadnt expected it, though more than likely it was because they trusted their daughter's judgement as opposed to the situation at first glance. The male groaned weakly, folding one leg after flipping the blankets and sheets to the other half of the bed. The air immediately began cool him down as his gaze flickered over to Aubrey, seeing her in a hazy waking state as well.

he watched her until she looked more awake, then grumbled: "Good morning." before shifting his hand under hers and intertwining their fingers. He squeezed her hand, hoping to see some of her old self in her eyes before he sat up and stretched. He wasn't going to worry too much, he understood if she couldn't smile right now. And of course she couldn't. Thinning his lips, he climbed over her and felt for the skinny orange bottle with her antidepressants. He shook one out onto his palm and grabbed the glass of water beside it, turning back to the female and leaning over to peck a kiss on her brow. He waited for her to take the items in his hands and swallow the former. "Did you sleep well? I'm going to make stuffed French toast for breakfast. Maybe banana peanut butter or blueberry vanilla. Which would you prefer?" The author rambled comfortably, all while crossing the room, opening his overnight bag, and pulling on a white v-neck. She eventually might answer, and until then he was going to keep talking like normal. "I love you, Bree bee."

Kent slowly looked up at the house he was currently standing in front of. He couldn't get this terrifying feeling bubbling in his stomach to go away and he wished it would! Lilly had said that his house was just a few doors down from hers and pointed him here after bringing home a rugrat the night before. Honestly, he wasn't sure how he felt about kids. He got along with them well enough but they were so...Uncertain? Anyways, that was the night before and not apart of his current state of fear. In fact, he wasn't even sure why he was so scared all of a sudden, maybe it had to do with the fact that he was going to be meeting his family all over again. He didn't know who resided in that house, only that it was his. What was he supposed to say or do if anyone was inside? How was he supposed to even get in if he didn't have any keys? If there was someone behind that door, then how dumb would he look knocking on his own door and telling them he didn't have keys, an I.D. or any memory left? He felt rather dumb at this moment and that just seemed to further reinforce the anxiousness gripping him. Sticking a hand in one of his jean pockets, the young man felt the small box that he had been carrying around since his discharge.

Well, there was only one thing to do...

Chewing at his inner bottom lip, Kent slowly began to make his way towards the door with hidden apprehension. What had he done before leaving home? Maybe he ran away. And maybe it was for a good reason. Could it have been for this gift and he just got in an accident by bad luck? He still had no clue and it was the unknown that scared him. Of course, he couldn't find all these things out without pressing on; so that's exactly what he did. Hearing the soles of his shoes scuff across the concrete, he stopped at the door and wiped the clammy sweat that began to coat his palms on his jeans before finally getting the courage to knock on the door. No one was probably home. Golden eyes glanced at the driveway only to see a car sitting there. No, someone was definitely here. Turning back to the door, he stared at the wood as he slowly sighed through his nose, unsure of what to do.

⊙〖OOC: -- Today's Outfit: Warm.Feeling: Apathetic; Depressed.Money: $1355.50〗⊙

( ♬ But I think my mistakes became the chemistry for my miracles... • )

The last two days or so had been - more or less - apathetic restlessness. Her eyes drifted back and forth through the night, watching the shadows of trees scour the bathroom floor like ghostly hands. She could hear the muffled talking downstairs, even if they were only whispers and murmurs from one parent to the other. Darkness swelled over. A kiss on her head and the next thing she knew, sunlight had overtaken what was left of night, shimmering the bedroom in a mellow light. Had she fallen asleep? She could hardly remember the difference between nightmares and reality anymore. A curl brushed up against her cheek, falling from the crevice of her earlobe, but she didn't touch it, instead listening to the other breathing that had slowed beside her from the night before. She blinked slowly, directing her attention back towards the ceiling. There were no words - no whispers nor thoughts of kindness. Only... Nothing. Silence. A decrepit woman that had long since been abandoned by the name of family. Her child would be no more and her husband was lost to her life. It had been weeks and she didn't know where he was. She knew he'd be busy within that time being but-

Her throat welled with a thick ball of angst, which she was sure to swallow down just as quickly. Everything had hurt until she couldn't feel it anymore. The kidnapping had been close to the last straw and she just couldn't fight the feeling knowing that both mentally, emotionally, and physically, she would possibly die soon. The man next to her shifted, her eyes fluttering a bit wider and dragging to look at him. Her eyes were empty from all excitement that had been not a month and a half ago. The swirls had stopped, stoic and reflecting a deadened look. Her curls crunched beneath her as the bed wiggled, her hand twitching at the touch of his but stilling once more when he intertwined his fingers. She couldn't help but glance down to them. It was warm, strong, and kept her standing all this time. She was weak now, frail, fragrant with malnutrition, pale, and the practically purple shadows beneath her eyes were a very large symbol of that. With as much sleep as she had gotten over the past week or less, even still she felt drawn and tired; as if she hadn't slept at all.

Her lips tightened into a line, exhaling slowly and breathlessly onto the form now reaching over her. His words practically skipped over her ears. Finally, after days of silence, she opened her babydoll lips. "I don't remember if I slept..." She whispered, gingerly taking the pills extended to her and tossing poking one in at a time. She wasn't hungry... She wasn't anything. She couldn't feel anything, but she had to swallow, apparently. Her chest expanded as far as it could and she leaned back to lay down again, rolling on her side with a soft and uncomfortable grunt. Not to his words, but to the fact that the wounds still hadn't fully healed. The pain, maybe, was the only thing keeping her at bay from remembering who she was and what she had to fight for; but it was scarce. "I'm not hungry..." She spoke again. She gripped the edge of the bedding, curling on her side and tucking her legs back to herself. His words were too fast for her mentally. She couldn't focus enough to land on one thought in between the midst, but the last words went completely noted. "Why...?"

Her back now faced him, arched over as if to protect whatever was in her inner circle - but nothing remained to her. Her eyelids drifted. She blinked. Tears came and went, but only a few in between stutters of her eyelashes. Slowly she was beginning to remember... Her mother came in to kiss her on the forehead, her father running his hand along her arm and through her curls before they had packed and left. I don't want to leave... It was mumbled, muffled, quiet through the stairs and carpet. I miss my babies... A hint of honey brown locks flickered past her memory. Multiple of them...

The knock on the door hardly passed her hearing.

"Oh? That's no good." Tyrese remarked, reacting to the voice the moment he heard it. Settling his shirt over his abdomen and walking closer, the wolf sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Aubrey's turned back. He studied her silhouette, his demeanor calm until her next words were spoken. He worried perhaps that- no, he would give the medication a chance to kick in. Certain medications had to be taken for a few weeks before the body was used to it- or something like that. Still, if it wasn't helping her, he and her doctor would be having a discussion about better options soon. Her appointment was in a few days, he recalled. Sighing through his nose, Ty patted her leg gently. "It's good to try eating anyway, you need something in your stomach." He replied, trying to encourage her in the right direction. He had plans to get her out of the house today, hoping the sunlight and fresh air would breath some life back into her body- her mind would follow given enough time a careful nourishment.

The saddst thing she asked was why he loved her, to which he chuckled humorlessly before furrowing his brow. He paused, vaguely wondering where her mind was and why she chose to question this. "There isn't anything not to love about you, Aubrey." Moving closer, he touched her chin in hopes of turning her gaze to himself. "You-" Just then, there was a knock, a sound to which he froze. It took several heartbeats of puzzlement and a soft gaze towards the doorway before he removed his touch and crawled off the bed. Had her parents forgotten something? Or- Hn, he couldn't think of anyone else who would drop by. A door to door sells man? That would get under his skin. "I'll be back with breakfast." He added on his tentative way out the door. If he had to he would come back to this as many times as necessary and repeat his answer. But for now, in case the knocker persisted, the author made his way to the door and pulled it open. He blinked, body jerking back, as he went from dumbfounded to uncertain, to shocked.

"Finn?!" His wide blinking eyes narrowed into a festering glare, his hands giving a hard push against the other body. "Finn!" He pulled the door shut, his hand grabbing a handful of his navy hair rather than the athlete's throat. "What the ********! Where the hell have you been?! Have you not been getting the ******** phone calls, or where you just taking your goddamned time getting back you p***k!" He demanded, glancing first at the door then at the window to secure some measure of privacy. He was hoping she hasn't heard him or that her curiosity wouldn't lead her to investigate. Given her behavior since the hospital, he had the feeling she would not. He wasn't taking any changes though, pacing off the door step and snatching the brunet to his feet.

Patiently he waited, really unsure of what to do other than twiddle his thumbs and teeter on his feet. It would be a good thing if no one answered. He still may not know who he really was, but at least he wouldn't have to face the disaster waiting for him; he was sure. It wasn't that he actually knew what to expect or anything, but how could there not be a disaster after suffering memory loss and not returning home; for who knows how long. The thought made him think as he turned around on the porch step, taking a look out at the neighborhood. How long had he been gone? Even though the accident happened about a month ago, he wasn't even sure if that was how long he'd been gone. Perhaps he had been gone even longer than that but just couldn't remember anymore. He wanted too, but at the same time he didn't. He was just chalk full of conflicting feelings and it was just a little too annoying.

His attention was pulled back to the here and now when he heard the door open up behind him. Jerking somewhat in surprise, Kent went rigid with a sudden feeling of terror. He had no idea why, but suddenly seeing someone in his supposed house shocked him. What was he supposed to do now? Noticing the look on the navy haired man's face, it was clear that he was going through a slew of emotions as well, however different they may have been. When he finally spoke up, Kent gave the man a momentary confused look at the name shouted in his direction before he saw two hands shoving their way towards him. In a strange haze of slowed time, he managed just barely side step the assault still falling onto his butt as he tripped while trying to avoid being hit. Looking up at the man and his obvious malice towards him, golden eyes were full of confusion as he continued to shout. Phone calls? Who was this guy? Before he had too much time to process or even both mentally asking himself anymore questions, he grunted as he was suddenly jerked to his feet.

"Uhm..." he hummed nervously, finally clearing his throat to speak up. He didn't have a dang clue what was happening or why he was being yelled at. Did he really run away from something? "I-I think you got the wrong guy, my name is Kent," he said, slowly throwing his thumb towards Lillian's house and looking at her house. "My friend said that this was my house but I...Don't remember it. I was just looking for some answers and didn't mean to upset you, whatever I did to you." Slowly bringing his hands up, he placed them on the man's wrists and looked back at him with the same confused look that hadn't wavered from his features. "Can you uh...Put me down now?" he asked hesitantly.

Tyrese spun the honey brunette between himself and the wall, just in case he felt the urge to slam him against the side of the house- or better yet throw him through the window. If he were in his right mind he'd might wonder if he was always this violently temperamental, and the answer would be yes. From the magician back in his junior year to a month ago with Jason in the park, Ty was a borderline explosive manic with his temper. His anger wasn't uncalled for or exaggerated today, his once best friend just showed up after abandoning his family- his pregnant wife. And look where she was now with the one who was supposed to matter no where near her side. " 'Um' WHAT?" He barked, now hidden out of sight should the brunette upstairs try to stumble upon them. Finn's confused look wasn't disarming through Ty's infuriation, not until the candy store owner began to explain. With a continuing hardened gaze, the author studied his face and-...and! Kent? Who the hell...no, he knew this scent and this face and this voice! This was Finn Teagan! Faltering, he looked towards Lillian's house, then quickly back to his soon to be assault victim.

Tyrese's face began to contort to utterly confounded stupidity. That didn't- make sense. "Lil-I-an..." He hissed, her name slipping forth in broken angry syllables. How the hell was she involved in this? Just after the male touched his wrist, Ty dropped his drip and stepped back. He looked the athelete up and down and brought his hands to his hips. "What do you mean this is your house but you don't remember? You look exactly like Finn Teagan, and only the man by that name lives here." He addressed gruffly, deciding to play into it for a moment. In his head he was already dialing up Lillian and demanding to know what happened now, but he wasn't giving the Finn look alike a chance to get inside and turn Aubreyms world more inside out than it already was. More than likely if this was Finn, he was putting him in a hospital. What excuse could make up for this?! Nothing!

Kent couldn't help but flinch under the sound of the young man's angered voice. He was starting to become worried about what his other self had done! Blinking stupidly as the man calmed down, he gazed over his slowly forming dumbfounded look and was relieved to finally be let go. Fixing his clothes, the memory impaired young man cleared his throat and scratched at the back of his neck in curiosity. Lillian? Who was- Was he talking about Lily!? How did he know Lily? "How do you know Lily?" he asked both confused and intrigued. The woman didn't talk much of her personal life, except for her daughter. He had only known her to be all about business, which he admired about her, but this left a huge gap in their friendship since she never opened up to anyone. It wasn't until last night that he met the little rugrat, and even she seemed to know him before he even knew her! There were more questions than answers and it was starting to give him a real migraine. Slowly rounding his hand up to his forehead where a bit of the scar from his accident peeked through his hairline, Kent continued to scratch at his head in bewilderment. "Well, you see, I was in a motorcycle accident and the docs say I lost my memories. I woke up and didn't have a clue who I was or where I came from. Look, I don't mean to intrude or anything, I was just told that this is where my family would be and I really want to meet them; remember who I was," he replied, his voice lowering a bit as he thought about how alone he felt not knowing a single thing about himself. He didn't even know his favorite food, or color! Who doesn't know things like that? If he didn't know simple things, what were the important things he was supposed to remember?

( ♬ But I think my mistakes became the chemistry for my miracles... • )

Something in his words clicked, but she didn't budge from her overprotective spot on the side of her bed. Very slow did the feelings come back to her, if there were any to think over left. She exhaled slowly, a soft mewing distracting her from the corner of the room. There sat her distraught cat, shuddering and limping hungrily towards her. He looked malnourished and for the first time in a few days, she felt two things - one of which was stronger than the other. Confusion and guilt, but hope, love, and sanctity were as far away as she could ever have imagined them to be; she could hardly remember what that felt like... Even if she had less than a week ago. Her fingertips gripped the side of the bed, watching every tiny paw move towards her in sequence. Left front, back right, left right, back left. So on and so forth. He peered up at her with yellow eyes and she let her hand fall down the side of the bed, hanging it over so he could purr and stretch against her fingertips.

If there wasn't anything not to love about her... Then why was she here in this state?

The conversation downstairs hadn't reached her, but it was clear that whoever was at the door had stricken conversation with Tyrese - and a rather hyper one. She sighed and rolled to her back, staring back up at the blurry ceiling. If she was still crying, she didn't notice. Instead she watched the ever still fan, a frown perched on her lips. Nothing to not love about her... Yet she could feel the lie tucked beneath. The feeling swelled and dropped, dipping into her stomach and fleeing the confines of her mind. Apathy had once again taken it's place. Dime, on the other hand, constantly mewed at her for attention - for what was taken so easily from her.

Tyrese backed away from the brunet a little more, but not by much. He looked at Lillian's house, trying to see if her car was there. Why didn't she tell him this yesterday? How did she find Finn, and how long ago? If Finn- his head throbbed and he kneaded his temples, eyes closed until Finn said 'Lilly.' Again, Finn got a once over, the insulted kind this time. "When the hell did you start calling her Lily? Her name is Lillian and she's the mother of my child." He corrected, though he couldn't be sure what made him uncomfortable about it. If Finn were himself, he wouldn't be anywhere near her, nor would he sound like he was so familiar with her. What was going through her head to make her think this was okay? He wasn't going to delve into this right now with her, he was going to figure out the thing standing right in front of him.

"Yeah, your family is here. We would have known each other six years in May, Finn..." He breathed, "We were like blood brothers until-. I can't believe..memory loss?" The wolf didn't like what he was hearing. Since seeing Finn he'd been wondering in the back of his mind if it'd be better for Aubrey to see her husband come home or if it would make her worse. But now, he winced deeply. "Your wife is in there too, but, Finn, she is not doing well, at all. I've been taking care of her, but if you go in there and you don't know who she is...I can't let you see her." He began to explain, pushing his hair back and sighing deeply. "You can't come back here until I come and get you. If you get your memory back on your own then we can't talk; just try to understand that I'm trying to keep her alive when I do...whatever is it I'll have to do."

Kent shrugged casually. "I've always called her that, cause that's what she said her name was," he replied, blinking as an intense look took over his features. This guy, whoever he was, was the father of that mini person? She sure surrounded herself with some interesting people. He didn't really have a problem with him, other than the explosive anger, which, to him, was uncalled for. Again with the name! Was that his real name? Finn, what kind of weird name was that anyways? It didn't really sound familiar to him, even as he tried hard to think about it. He has known this guy for six years? You'd certainly - WIFE!? Golden eyes shot up in disbelief. "I'm married!?" he practically shouted in surprise. How could he have forgotten something so critical? Quickly the honey brunette pulled out the small gift he had been carrying around with him since his discharge from the hospital and looked at the name scrawled on it. "Birdie..." he whispered under his breath as his hazy mind slowly, painfully began to make the slightest of connections. It would only make sense that he'd have a present for his...Kent swallowed hard; wife. It had been Christmas not too long ago and this must have been the gift he had gotten her. He had no idea what it was, but that was the only thing he could think of.

Everything that was being said after being told he was married was all but ignored. He was too preoccupied with trying to make the connections and currently failing, only managing to make his head throb painfully. Migraines were quite common with him since he left; each time he tried to remember something, or had a dream about something, he was plagued with nearly crippling pain. His free hand quickly came up to press against his temple, trying to get the pain to go away as he shut his eyes tightly. Light made it worse, but he was still trying to push through it. "No!" he barked himself, not really understanding where the sudden ferocity came from. Something wasn't letting him leave. He wasn't sure if it was the pain and knowing if he moved that it would probably make it worse, or knowing that his wife, his family, was inside and being told he couldn't see them. Even if they were in bad shape, wouldn't it be better to know that he was here and alive and work through everything rather than believing that he was still gone? "If my wife is inside, I'm going to see her and you can't stop me," he added sternly, his tone taking on an unusual authoritative sound. With that said, the man began to march forward with determination.
