Eric sighed. "You weren't there when it happened, but I found out the hard way how weak I am a month or so ago. I couldn't do anything and hindered everyone thereafter. Until, that is, namine.. Ahem. Persuaded me otherwise. I said I was ok afterward; but I still have my lingering doubts," he said. He rubbed his neck and a small scar became more prominent.

Lawrence looked back to namine. "No, sea salt ice cream. That stuff's right good anytime," he said. "That duck's drowning in munny for that stuff," he said.

Eric drooped. "I still ended up battered. Not that that wasn't a good thing. If you aren't at least a little battered it wasn't a good fight. Anyway, those fights were mere scrimmages compared to what gave me this," he said pointing to his neck. "I was the first person downed in that attack. Friends of mine nearly died because I was being dragged from the brink of death. I owe namine my life for that,"

Lawrence gave a confused look. "What backwater world did you come from where you haven't heard of Scrooge Mcduck? He was the first to market sea salt ice cream. Greedy little bugger he is," he said bitterly.

( I'm more concerned about how sora can put up with Donald's annoying voice for so long.)

Eric was shocked, but then relaxed and returned the kiss. All the love I've received, and yet I'm still not entirely happy? What is it that I need to bring the joy I so desire? I've got such a wonderful girl here who has never done anything but help me. What is it I require? Release me from this conundrum oh merciful emotions, he thought.

Lawrence sighed. "technically he is a duck, albeit a talking one that spends almost no time in the water. Hell, all of Disney castle is filled with talking animals. It's unsettling, " he said.

Lawrence shuddered. "Mice eating chicken or pork. It's strange pseudo cannibalism since every bloody animal can talk there. Unless they're all vegans," he said. This conversation certainly got more interesting, he thought.

Eric forced a smile. "I needed that. Thank you," he said.

"I guess I'm ready to face the world again," Eric said rubbing his head. You're a disgrace damn it! You injure yourself and harm those you love! a voice in his head said. Eric shook his head in an attempt to clear his mind.

Lawrence pored the water from his canteen back into the ocean. "Very. The creepier thing is that everything is so bright and colorful there. A colorful shell over a dark interior,"

Eric looked to the ocean. The sun was setting. Eric couldn't help but use this opportunity for a cheesey compliment. "Wow. The sunset is just gorgeous here," he looked to kirune. "It's nothing compared to you though," he said.
Are you freaking kidding me!? That had more cheese in it than an extra large nacho platter! Shut up! he thought.

Lawrence stood up and sighed. "The sun's going down. I better get a fire going," he said.

Eric gulped at kirune's last statement. Crap! What do I say? She's amazing, but I'm not ready for hardcore love. That could be misinterpreted as very perverted when heard out of context. Good thing nobody can read my thoughts. Crap! Off topic. I really like her and like having her around, but I'm not ready for something super deep yet. I'm still conflicted over namine. What do I do? he thought.

Lawrence dug a hole in the sand with his hands and placed some sticks and wood logs in the pit. He looked back to Eric just as kirune announced she loved him. He could see Eric was unsure on how to respond. Surely he would be in trouble if he answered wrongly. "Oy Eric! Did you bring any flint or marshmallows!?" Lawrence shouted.

Eric looked over and sighed with relief. you saved my a** again Lawrence. I owe you one, he thought.
"Yeah, I'll be right there," he shouted back. He ran away from kirune and toward his suitcase.
