Lawrence ran out of the house and gasped at the new Eric. "Bloody hell! This can't be good," he said. Patricia began crying in her husband's arms. She looked up and saw the dark creature her child had become. "How could this happen? How? My son!" she nearly threw up and began bawling even more.

Eric's demonic new form chuckled evilly. "This fool has... I... Can't... Breathe... Completely... Wreak havoc! Don't!" It said. It grabbed its own head and sighed.
"He won't escape this time. I've waited years for this!" It said. It juggled the sword it had and smiled.

The monster chuckled. "To late Dumkopf. Herr Eric is gone. Destruction remains in place of his heart," it said. It pointed a sword at Alex and grabbed its head. "No! To many..." It screamed and ran off toward the dark depths. Eric seemed to have enough control make it run from the populated area.

Leopold put a hand on his wife and picked up his staff. "I need as many able bodies as possible. That demon is no longer my son and we must slay it,"
"Are you bloody crazy mr fringe!? You can't kill your son,"
"it's not death. It's liberation,"

Lawrence was outraged. "You all are just going to march off and kill your friend? There can't be only one way to do this!" he said angrily.

Leopold shook his head. "Either get behind me or walk away. There's no tuning back once you take either way. Even his mother is coming with us," he said. Patricia wiped away a tear and nodded.
"He can't take all of us at once," she said regretfully. She broke down crying again. "I can't. I just can't fight my son," she said. She slowly walked back into the house.

Leopold looked to Lawrence. "Are you with us or not Lawrence?"

Patricia continued crying. "Where did I go wrong? How could my precious son become... That thing?" she said.

Leopold sighed. "If none of you will follow me I'll beat him myself," he turned and began walking toward the dark depths. Lawrence stopped him just before he left the area.
"Wait! Mr. Fringe," Lawrence shouted. He ran up to the man. "I can't believe how sure you are of this. I respect that. I'll gladly follow anyone with such determination," he said.

Patricia wiped away a tear. "Go. I need to be alone,"

Leopold looked to Alex. "Hold your bloody horses kid! We're moving out now!" he said. He began jogging toward the dark depths. Lawrence followed him.
(Exit leopold and Lawrence)

Kirune was on the ship, laying down.

Namine was sitting outside the house, petting a sleeping Peppermint.

Namine sighed. "We'll have to find him a place to rest until he wakes up."

Kirune shook her head. "She's still inside, sir."
