As Puss is buried between Tam and Kero, she's also manages to wake up Kero as well. Grumbling, only marginally awake, he somehow pins her down beside them and tells her to go to sleep already. Now she is faced with one of two decisions. Taking Puss back to her bed and risk getting the older lion angry or joining them in theirs. It really isn't a hard conclusion to come to and soon Tam's bedroll becomes even more crowded.

Tam wakes up late the next morning to find He is wearing what appears to be an over sized white leonine hat and a leg across his throat, a sandy colored purring blanket on his legs and three smaller feline creatures of varying sizes snuggled up his chest. Knowing better than to move, feeling the weight of Hopian's hind quarters on hi good wing, he ponders the matter of how he managed to wind up with all the cats in his bed. Then he realizes it is probably because he radiates so much heat when he sleeps, especially when he is locked into his angelic form.
Sighing he clears his throat. "Ummm, a little breathing space would be nice." he announces to the tent at large. When the snores continues around him, he groans. "Hey, people... I'm getting a touch claustrophobic here." in a much louder aggravated tone.

*Kero simply wakes up, sees the stuff, and lifts Sal, Hope, and Fortuny off of Tam, setting them back down, over by the fire...though he holds Hopian over the water*
Should I, sira?

"Only if you want to go around looking like a dirty puff ball all day. " laughs Tam knowingly.

*Kero smiles, bringing him back and setting him gently on the ground*
Then lets get back to sleep....before Sal wakes up and wants more fish.

Tam shakes his head. "If I sleep any more I'll get a head ache. You can if you want. I'm going down to the river and see iffin I can talk Granddad into letting me get some breakfast."

Tam smirks. "I'd write a song and make certain it was simple and lively enough to sink deep into the minds of all who heard it. In a month or two it will have traveled quite far... in a year.." he chuckles wickedly.

Tam winks at him and tiptoes over to where his fishing gear is stashed. He motions for Kero to join him and slips quietly from the camp. It is a foggy morning, with a shifting heavy mist clinging to the forest, Sounds seem magnified, but the only sound they hear as they make their way down the path is the scurrying of small animals, squirrels and rabbits, moving about gleaning under the cover of the mist.

*Kero follows him, silently, and taps the surface of the water three times when they get there...the way Old Granddad taught them to call him*

Tam takes a small camp shovel and begins to dig in the leaf mold for leaf worms and down deeper for whatever worms and grubs he can find, while he waits for the old fish to join them. When they came to this pool, they waited on ol Granddad... he never waited on them. As was only right, in deference to fish's age and wisdom.

Tam soon has a large bark shingle piled full of bait and leaf mold. He joins Kero by the water and tosses a couple of the smaller grubs into the water as a peace offering.
