Demon ║ 22 ║ $905 ║ Saisons Manager ║ Finally Seeing Him Lillian sat there at his bedside, staring him down and listening to everything he had to say. She watched as his notebook was thrown at her feet and he threatened her in more way than one. With each sentence spoken, she didn’t flinch, she didn’t budge, she didn’t shed a single tear and sat there with a straight face. Finally, after a few minutes of sitting there and staring off into nothing, a smirk slowly grew slid across her lips as her dimly glowing eyes looked up at him and his scowling face. “Finally,” she breathed as she pushed herself to her feet, pressing a hand against her side momentarily from the twinge of pain. “Seriously, it’s like pulling teeth with you. I thought I’d never get the whole truth outta you. Although, I still don’t like your friend, but that’s for different reasons than the nasty looks she gives me.” Inhaling deeply, her lips parted to let her tongue pass along them before exhaling a breath just as heavy. “Oh, three things though: One, I would never give up my daughter no matter how many people think I’m an unfit mother. I’m doing the best that I can and the fact that she’s happy, safe and loved says that I haven’t wronged her in anyway. Two, if I hear a snide comment come out of her mouth again, I won’t be afraid to punch her in the face. Three, the only reason I was hanging out with Jason was because my therapist tasked me with making friends and he was really the only person I knew here besides family. I didn’t ask for his help finding Sela, he followed me and I’m allowed to be friends with whomever I choose; that does not mean there are any other, or ever were, any feelings beyond that. Am I saying I still will be friends with him? No, but I can still choose who I have any sort of relationship with regardless of feelings.”
Turning back towards the stairs, she puffed out her cheeks as she exhaled an audible breath. “Oh! Actually, one more thing,” she said as she turned to look back at him, reaching out and kicking his notebook back over to him. “I’m not leaving. I’ll be here if you need me. Let Bree fix what Hakem ruined and I’m gonna shower cause my brother’s house smells like...” She paused as she stared him down with a blank look. “Well, you know. And I don’t need that all over me.” Even though she had already showered before coming over, she mostly wanted to take another one just to get some private time to think about things. Plus, she was likely to get blowback for ‘acting’ like a victim for the last few weeks. While she had left to do exactly what she said she was doing, she wasn’t as torn as she let people see her as. Her new drugs were pretty damn powerful. While she mourned for her loss of the man she considered the love of her life, she wasn’t going to stay attached to a man that didn’t want her anymore; granted, most of that was because of her antics, but still. Pulling her phone out of her pocket, she began dialing Sinclair’s number as she started climbing the stairs. “Hey Sinclair, it’s me, can I t-” she spoke as she walked up the stairs and closed the door behind her, after entering the spare bedroom. Sitting down on the bed, she sighed softly as she waited to hear her daughter’s voice; a hand running through her hair.
With Bree here, she was likely to be watched like a hawk 24/7, even if she did nothing. It didn’t matter what Ty said about Bree, she deserved to be hit if she was constantly going to bad mouth her every time that lanky brunette laid eyes on her. A smile slowly spread to her face as she heard the little girl’s voice over the other line. Now that she had finally gotten the truth out of Ty, she could finally move on with her life instead of circling around what might as well have been a brick wall. She was still deathly worried about Ty, but there was no real point in bothering when he had that pregnant...Could she even be considered a bodyguard? Being that pregnant, Lillian could easily take her. Shaking her head of the thoughts, she continued talking with Sela as she grabbed fresh clothes from her bag and made her way towards the bathroom. Wrapping her broken fingers in plastic, she stripped out of her clothes and removed the bandages from around her nearly blackened torso. Splashing water on her face, she wiped off the makeup to look at the bruises and cuts on her face. Her busted lip was almost completely healed and the cut on her cheek was a close second. The bruises that accompanied them were starting to heal with how much smaller they were, along with the yellowish twinge to her neck from her nearly healed neck. Turning her back towards the mirror, her features fell at the wounds across her back before sighing heavily and stepping into the shower. Hissing at the sting of pain from the hot water, she slowly and carefully began cleaning herself off.

She didn't want to see anything but her own way, and when she was stuck in that position, you either had to ride with her or get lost. If it meant anything, he hadn't spent this time trying to make her feel dirty and guilty; if he was trying to break her down with derogatory insults he wouldn't be pleading with her to see sense. Lillian...obviously didn't want to be helped, to see herself as needing to do more than apologize before her choices were justified. They weren't, and she didn't care that her behavior was pushing everyone away. She'd rather live with her pride and blame it on all other people and variables. He'd never been so disappointed, or insulted, by her. He knew he did nothing wrong, he wasn't going to chase her around like his desperate broken self from high school. She treated the one man coldly who she should let in. She wasn't getting anything out of him he hadn't already said. Her 'finally' sounded like she'd been waiting for that one excuse that justified her turning her back on her problems rather than fixing them. 'He didn't want her, so she wasn't obligated to give a damn.' The wolf only sighed dismissively. He knew it would happen, that she'd pull straws and spit back at him something he'd already tried to clarify. Shaking his head, the journal she kicked was the last thing on his mind. "Are you delusional, woman? Our daughter has been acting out for weeks, she is not happy. She has gotten lost multiple times and fell down the ******** stairs. She is not safe. She thinks mommy and daddy will leave her all alone. She does not feel loved right now! What world are you living in?!" He snapped at her constant use of illusions are glamour, watching her walk away before he fell against the bed. The wolf huffed up at the ceiling before beginning to thrash, unable to stand his own anger any longer. "For ******** sake, Lillian! FOR ******** SAKE! CONCEEDED b***h, JUST GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!" What was her problem?! What did she want him to say?! He'd poured himself out to her every time she approached him and she spat on it! She couldn't stop this behavior even once! Even for Sela! The wolf felt a sharp pull in his side and the sensation on tearing, he yelped a sharp cry, pressing his hand over the stiching and rolling on his side. His hand was laying over his face as he sobbed and murmured profanity under his labored breath. Agh, it hurt! Why was she bothering to stay here?! That one outburst alone was enough to snap her from her drifting too far into her angered state. Just as the red lining covered her vision, she lifted her head, eyes now wide like a doe in the headlights. She pushed off the side of the tub as quickly as she had fallen, scrambling - if not bolting - back into the living room. There he lay, alone, hissing in pain, and on his side. "Tyrese?" She called, standing at the edge of the living room. What had she done? All thoughts instantly went to assume it was Lillian's doing - the blonde now gone and shower running upstairs. For that? She hoped the shower was beginning to sting - the absolute frustration, physical, and mental torment blowing Bree's ferociousness out of the water. Few things rattled within the walls, temperatures rising before she stormed forward by Tyrese's side in both a panicked and fuming drop. "Are you okay? Tyrese?"' She called again, now at his side. The blood stain was worse, her eyes drifting from his shuddering body to the air mattress now doused in red liquid. Did she need to call a doctor?! "C'mon.." She murmured, trying not to hiss fury beneath her breath. Hopefully he took it in a soothing way. "It's all right... It's all right... Let's go get you in the bath."
Her voice was quiet - even if her powers directed themselves upstairs without consent, where might have been turning absolutely boiling. "I got you.." She whispered. Her heart was pounding in her ears while a small panic was settling in. What if it was bad? What if she needed to take him back to the hospital? She pressed her palm against the shoulder blade on his back, swallowing again. And if she didn't keep her cool... She didn't want to put her baby in any more danger. Not with stress, not with hatred, not with releasing her anger - but everything was making that extremely difficult. Waking up early, always out and about after she had spent weeks lying around fixing a broken rib, mental abuse from the night of the incident - she was very close to being at her limit. Soon, if they weren't careful, they would break her and she would be nothing but a mannequin; following those that directed her. Carefully she tried to press her hands against him. "Would a bath make you feel better? I should have bandaged you up before you started talking..." Her eyes darted towards the bottom of the stair case. "I'll get your medicine too."

It felt like a red hot poker had been pressed into his side, but the slightest hint of pressure to judge what happened was almost unbearable. His side heaved with rapid breathing anyway, the man turning his ear to Aubrey as she dropped to his side. His whole body tensed at the word of her wanting him to move, his head shaking as he inhaled a shaking breath. Impossible, he wasn't getting up like this. She coaxed him a bit more, though he didn't budge before she said she had him. He opened his eyes, they were gold now, as he made a patting motion on his side without touching it. "I-I think its worn off." He stated through gritted teeth. The wolf didn't know if it'd been the six hours before his next dose of meds, but either way it wasn't doing him any good. Although slowly, whimpering quietly, he sat himself up and shakily pushed both feet off the air mattress. He wanted the medicine first, but obviously that would take longer given he'd threw it all as far across the room as he could manage. One of the bottles scattered what was inside, hopefully not the ones that killed the pain. He released his side to grope around for his crutches, which he'd discovered already, wasn't much good for him when tucking the metal support under his arms put strain on his stiches. He was learning to hobble around with just one for now, letting Aubrey assist on their way to the next room. He could smell heated water and see the remnants of steam escaping the room, quietly eyeing the brunet as he found somewhere to sit. He tried to get comfortable and keep his casting out of the way. It was clunky and difficult, but hopefully fully dry. Ty went back to studying the lady in the room. "You okay, Aubrey?" He asked, tucking the crutch beside his leg as he looked up at her. He's spent enough time with her to begin recognizing her stress and anger, he wasn't always the one who was see through...though she wasn't exactly trying to hide it. Her eyes had hints of teary pink and she was practically growling at him when she spoke. All it took was the blonde walking into the house and the peace was gone. Perhaps it was better he asked her to go home? But she wouldn't leave him with Lillian, and he knew it. ═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ 『Estate #: 1504 Lumiere ┋Funds: $467.75』 『Temper┋✎✎✎✎✎┋Stress┋✎✎✎✎✎┋Happiness lvls┋✎✎✎✎✎』 "My words are useless if they don't deconstruct the limitations that keep the creativity in you from flourishing." -TY Havens ═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ Out Of Chamomile:

A long silence emanated from the brunette. Nothing but deep, albeit quick, breathing painfully exiting her scrunched nostrils. Difficulty of calming patience laced her skin with every intake she made, the battering of her heart ramming on her rib cage a growing constant to her ears. On occasion she had to wonder if the author now leaning on her shoulder with his arm around her could hear it echo within her petite frame. The anger was fierce - a shuddering flight of hatred ready to demolish the path in order to clear for her own utopia. One that did not include the obnoxious and selfish blond now curled ever so quietly in 'her territory'. The lump in her throat was swallowed in one motion, only to leave a painful throb in its wake and bringing on a few tears in the corners of her eyes. Amethyst irises glistened against the saline, a salty sting that reminded her she was so painfully awake. "I think so." She whispered. But it was clear she was anything but. To have a destroyer so relatively close in distance, that she could, in retrospect, end the wrath of was something she'd rather keep to herself. It was a thought no sane person would contain. A thought that only a complete psychopath would be able to even admit at the time. Someone like... Well, Lillian. The thought subsided, her gaze now focused on the steam erupting from the door frame of the bathroom. Had she done that? She didn't, no, couldn't remember.
Her socked toes trudged on the carpet like it was dragging her with each step, forcing forward to subconsciously prove to both herself and Tyrese that she could finish the task at hand alone. If she were to be left alone, then the 8 week pregnant 23 year old female could most certainly complete it in solitude. 'Being a Clark' had meant much more to her than independence. It had consisted of essential qualities; controlled, powerful, motivated, strategical - all things only someone like Bree would possess. All things that made her to be an Aubrey Clark. And further down the road, a Teagan. But in this instant, even with whom she considered someone to be a best friend by her side, she felt more alone than ever. The consoling she had needed was washed away. The actions were forgotten. Her sorrow and hatred upon remembering the demolition on her love ceased to exist. And now... Well. She was the equivalent to a marionette - played by her cruel captor; an invisible entity laughing at every part of her demise. Tonight, he had taken the form of a blonde. "She didn't hurt you, did she?" The same quiet voice came from her lips, which only sealed closed again soon after. Gently she pushed the bathroom door back open with her fingertips, sliding her foot along the tile and maneuvering Tyrese back towards the toilet. If she wanted to get him in the bath, she was going to have to remove his bandages and gown first. With ease she bent down to close the toilet seat, tapping it with her palm to signal for him to sit. Next would come the water that she was positive she'd have to drain soon after.
Darkness filled the dwellings of her inner sanctum, shuddering and shivering only to spew hot fumes and black muck that dripped from her vision.
If only she had found the time to realize that it was not tar, but tears, that lined her cheekbones.

It was still slightly humid in the room, but rather than uncomfortably inspecting the calm waters of the porcelain tub, which he suspected was near boiling or worse, his marigold orbs clipped between visibility and shadow as he locked his gaze on Aubrey from below his eye lashes. Hers wasn't much better than a painted on doll's face, with pinched peach lips hiding a brooding eruption of volcanic proportions. He'd never seen a woman so angry and altogether controlled all at once, with Lil she always just exploded. The wolf tucked one hand between his legs, grazing his braced wrist against the water protective lining strapped over the cast on his right leg. She was too quiet until she asked if Lillian caused him pain, a question to which he quickly shook his head. Even if she did he'd lie at a time like this, it was that instinct that tingled in the back of one's mind that forwarded of a cataclysmic event on the horizon. Ty locked his lips and carefully lifted the strap to his sling from his left shoulder and let it fall from his arm. The limb felt weak and protested when he tried to move it. The wolf ignored it, his focus still preoccupied on the brunet's face as he eased off the brace on his left hand and placed it on the sink countertop. He was the slightest bit relieved there was something to shift his devotion to, he could manage his sanity easier when someone else needed him to be together. Perhaps that was a cruel thing, he wasn't suggesting he was pleased by the crystalline droplets grasping her lashes like rhinestones, but it meant he needed to look past himself. Was it some kind of desperation to please? Like a pet that sought to console it's master? Yes, he should have seen sooner that having her assailant here would be hard for her, with how desperately she clinged to the utterly vulnerable life nested beneath her abdomen as well as the life within herself. The male grabbed just above her elbow, directing her down to his level and closer to his reach. She was easier to access, his hands cupping her face with both frailty and grace. Something in his stomach was a whilpool reminding him his place was not one in the same with Finn's, but in semblance to Halloween he would fill the second most gap he could in holding her up. He wasn't a broken enough man to leave her flailing at the side of a deserted road. He dropped both hands to tighten them around her lithe frame, pulling her into a mutually pained embrace.

How long had she been in this place? Not here, physically, but dismissed to rot in the aftermath where salvation and sanity frantically searched the desert like helicopter lights. Yet she was the last to be helped - constantly passed over as a corpse of her former self. Every inch of her last will cried for help through lips that remained glued shut; too thirsty and filled with despaired sand to utter even the clearest whisper. She longed for love and comfort. She longed for the life she held not a month ago before the Halloween event, if not before then when she was only just finding out she was pregnant. She could see her honey brunette fall to his knees with tears placed in the corners of his golden eyes. And now, where was that same loving look? She lifted her shaky eyelids to turn her gaze onto the water. Her lips parted though no breath came through - she had been holding it for minutes now, unaware of her own mistakes. Her lungs shuddered to a stand still as time seemed to freeze around her. Is this the equivalent to how he felt when he focused? To see everything around her move while she was absolutely frozen in time. Her eyelids fluttered shut, only jerking open at the slightest touch on her shoulder; warm fingertips that pulled her down from the clouds of thoughtful pollution. It only followed with a sharp inhale and a flash of two front pearly white teeth.
No matter what sudden torrent of pain came next - she remained strong for the people around her that needed her to be. The same limp body stopped it's useless crying... If the one's around her would allow her to die, then she herself should have given up on living dreams years ago. She tumbled downward, torn away from memories of failure and down into the present, where Tyrese was pulling her into. His blue hair brushed her chin, now soaked with tears which she assumed to be dew drops on his tips from the humidity of the bathroom. The helicopter had spotted her struggles, flashing over her somber form. She could hardly open her eyes to see someone climbing down a dropped ladder and placing an oxygen tank upon her dry lips. The air felt sterile in her lungs - a definite difference to what she had been breathing in for months. He graced her being with water to drink - air to breathe. Her lungs filled to her capacity again before her knees finally gave way and she crumpled into him like a dampened and tossed newspaper. The faucet continued to run in the background, slapping against the once still body of water. The porcelain bowl was almost filled. Every part of her ached in remorse for her lost self. Her face fell into his chest, palms flattening against him with gentle, feather-like touches. She could swear he had streamed his own obscene proportion of both gratitude and depression into her at the touch of her face... Like a life line of a scream only he could hear.

And would it be wrong? At this point it would only be for survival. The starved and despondent hearts laid withered and apotheosized, but they weren't dead. No, not yet. Out of desperation and shreds of hope, one would give up a ration to keep the other going for a step more. The wolf grunted, hitching his shoulders to support the falling trooper as she threw up the white flag in a last move to find refuge from the storming troops of shattered realities. His weight kept her afloat, letting himself be a shelter. He exhaled, his chin nestling into the side of the curls. The ride of silence lasted a few long minutes to let her drain the boiling toxins that had rattled the pipes behind his walls before it finally leaked from her eyes. Ty patted her back softly, trying to think of encouragement that hadn't already been uttered and disappointed by the lack of fruition in sight. Was Finn going to come through? The wolf knew this no more than he knew, until just minutes ago, if he could turn things around with Lillian. He didn't want to lie to Aubrey Teagan about her Teagan if the man was busy betraying the same character they'd once given him credit for. And right now he couldn't make Lillian leave, he certainly wasn't being chased out of his own home to get away from her; but for everyone else he'd accept the sight of their fleeting forms, they didn't have to tolerate her as part of their lives like he did. Their little world was getting even smaller, but he wasn't going to watch and allow the final monument to derail itself. His gaze lifted to the ceiling, his breath shuttering briefly. "If you could only know what we really are, when we arrived to Earth from out beyond your star. We were amazed to find your beauty and your worth, and we will protect your kind, we will protect your Earth. I will fight for the place where I'm free. To live together and exist as me. I will fight for the world I was made in, the Earth is everything I've ever known. I will fight to be everything that everybody wants me to be when I'm grown. The odds are against us, it won't be easy, but we're not gonna do it alone." The lyrics and perhaps most of the melody weren't spot on, the wolf knew it from the start, but he still knew the song well enough simply because she loved it. In catholic school he was once apart of a mass choir, and while he'd hated it he remembered how to sing. It was only his vocal cords that serrated his voice. While for this reason he usually didn't attempt to even hum, he felt the need here. He sang it quietly and lowly, trailing off in the last breath of the line he saw fit as a means to end end. She wasn't alone, not by a long shot. He wasn't Finn, he couldn't be. He was only Tyrese, and if being that could make a difference, he was offering it up with no reservation. He only wanted it to help, wished it would spawn an earthquake that shook off the coat of a broken marriage and smothered hopes and cries for help. If it was just them for a while he thought it would be okay; after all, she was all that had kept him going so far. He wanted to make the offer if she had nothing else. The loneliness of pain and isolation, that was not how he wanted to die.

Her knees came next, falling against the porcelain floor and practically slamming against the base of the toilet. The pain was annulled by her gentle and silent sobs that now called into his chest. The gown did absolutely nothing to deflect any crying caught in the fabric - only allowing it to sink in and soak the innards of his chest that it could reach. The bleeding from earlier had gone completely amiss by her eyes, now focused on this moment of freedom with her current savior. Though she could only feel Tyrese's touch, it almost made the hurt unbearable; to imagine that not her husband - but her husband's friend was there for her. Someone she had never sought for in the first place when it came to meeting him; but instead had become her angel in disguise. An elongated cry escaped her lips to echo around the bathroom in that solemn moment. She gripped any part of him that she could, emotional thoughts leaving her oblivious to any pain she may be putting in him. "I can't-" She began a frail whisper, but was neatly caught off guard by a sudden song she assumed remained foreign to everyone around her. Her head perked up immediately, amethyst eyes wide with shock.
But we're not going to do it alone.
As long as Tyrese was here... As long as he was there for her, she wasn't alone. These past few weeks had been filled with nothing but his presence - leaving her to think thoughts she never thought she would. Finn was nowhere to be found. But with every missing area of Finn, the blue haired author was there to fill in his space. He had come full circle to be a part of her family just as she had wanted; and that night on the beach had started it all. To see him crying there, defenseless and helpless like she had been left them both intertwined for months. They weren't soul mates, but protectors of each other. His feelings for her hadn't gone unnoticed; nor could she ignore the occasional twinge of want for him. But what could she say? Her husband was nowhere to be found. Every text had gone unanswered. Every call only returned once with a quick 'I'm tired and going to bed' because he had gotten home from work. And only weeks ago had they had their talk of how he hadn't been there for her; left her abandoned as if she were to fend for herself. At this rate, she very well may have. "I'm never alone..." She whispered, sliding her palms up from his arms to his face to cup his bruised cheeks timidly. Every part of her body shook with fear of both him and her own fragile limbs. "No more talk of darkness... Forget these wide-eyed fears..." She swallowed, her soft and slightly croaking singing voice trailing off before starting again. "I'm here, nothing can harm you... My words will warm and calm you..." Her lips remained parted, watching him with partially opened, fluttering eyelashes.

He closed his eyes momentarily after feeling her touch, his brows furrowing with a more apologetic touch. "Sorry, those were all the lyrics I knew. I heard you singing it back when I was at your place." Her prior clinging left him throbbing more than he'd already been, his mind reluctantly drifting to the living room floor where his medication was scattered. He looked into her face, searching for signs of life how he once remembered not so long ago. The only picture he had was a single moment on the beach, where things had been not so okay, but closer to happy than today. All he could do was grow from the ashes, if there were hopes of that. He had a feeling he could, staring down at a red stuffy nose and flushed cheeks. However, at the immediate moment while she cried for her husband, there wasn't a n appropriate chance for moving in on something that wasn't his. "I still think Finn needs a little bit more time. Just a little. I'll still be holding you up until he comes through or you stand on your own." He encouraged quietly, choosing this route once more. He was determined to stand behind this marriage, because Aubrey and Finn were his best friends. He had respect for how faithful the brunette was to the ring she wore and the man who put it on her. He then snatched his arms away from her, a grunting cry conveying a small buckle in his composure. He grabbed his side, the blood sticky and half dry. "I think maybe I should wash up now and get back in bed." ═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ 『Estate #: 1504 Lumiere ┋Funds: $467.75』 『Temper┋✎✎✎✎✎┋Stress┋✎✎✎✎✎┋Happiness lvls┋✎✎✎✎✎』 "My words are useless if they don't deconstruct the limitations that keep the creativity in you from flourishing." -TY Havens ═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ ║═ Out Of Chamomile:

She pulled one hand back to graze it through her now slightly frizzled curls. The damp air from the hot water she had progressed minutes ago had managed to make them crazier than even usual. And even though this almost felt like a crisis, she could feel herself smile without feeling the need of having to. It wasn't a fake emotion. He was someone that made her happy through the perpetual darkness of her breaking feelings. Her head fell to rest her forehead on his chin and a quiet giggle exhaled itself from her bruised feeling lungs. The crying was leaving her with nothing but desperate air and stinging eyes. "At least you remembered..." She whispered. How many times had she been around the house, singing it? Or in the car... Humming along when any other song could be playing on the radio. She sighed, lifting her head, her lips just grazing past his cheek and chin without touching them. "I'm glad you're here with me, Tyrese... I'm glad I got to sit next to you on the beach and start this entire journey." She murmured, a small smile on her baby doll lips.
Her hands pushed along the wall so she could stand again, stumbling ever so slightly on the tile before she ran her sweater beneath her eyes, drying up the last of any tears that might have strayed beneath and smeared her eyeliner. "Do you need me to stay and help...?" She hadn't really realized the force of what she had just asked, only watching over him with flickering amethyst eyes; hints of brown lurking beneath the purple swirls. Lillian had become invisible to her now - her own body feeling indestructible as she stared down at the blood covered bandages now lopping at his side. Everything the blond wench said rang clear in her mind. Maybe she just didn't get it. She couldn't just disappear, inflict herself with pain on her own accord, and expect to be forgiven. It wasn't how things worked around here. Here, they had to earn the respect back; not force it upon the others as if they wouldn't care. She exhaled softly, focusing her attention back to Tyrese. They needed to get them off of him and gently get him in to the water. Even if he asked her to leave while he bathed, she would stay outside of the door, the small fear of her even approaching making her want to stay. She was in Bree's territory now - and there was plenty of water for her to control here.
For now, at least, she could pretend it was okay.

Those small details he kept for no good reason at all made someone feel good. He disliked it, but his worth reflected a lot on how he could make others feel; one would think he'd take this time to work on himself instead. He felt sour. But what could he do when Aubrey was falling apart right here in front of him? If he could do something, he would. His emotions were his own vain, his desperate clinging to the good feeling of being needed as much as he himself needed. More bitterness, like liquid nitrogen poured over his gut and the once careful sympathy pouring out for the brunette. He felt empty again, defeated by this turntable of discord. He exhaled back to reality as Aubrey's forehead came to rest on his chin, giving a supporting stroke of her hair before she removed herself. He used his arm to prop himself up where her body was missing, wincing at the stiffness of his bandages. "I'll be okay by myself. You can leave." He smiled, looking at the drying streaks on her face. She'd feel better for a while, but if Finn didn't come back then she'd be back in this rut before long. That was the latter rain of the problem; as he made sure she shut the door behind her he exhaled the lump in his throat and strung his fingers through his hair. He stileed a snuff of a sob or two, growling to himself in frustration before leaning against the back of the toilet. He couldn't even feel the cold porcelain on his buring skin. Shaking as he did so, he slipped off the front half of his gown and grouped gingerly for the start of the guaze wrapped around his torso. The first several rows fled away with ease, but stopped once it met his flesh. The dried blood glued it to his side, and he fearfully hesitated to pull it forward. The parts of the wound that were already exposed looked like tenderized meat as it was. It glared back at him with angry inflammation and insistent pulsating. The wolf dug his teeth into his lip, otherwise feeling numb as he turned the entire of his body to grab the hospital-issued bin Hakem left for him on top the toilet. Uttering a mental thanks for the older wolf, Ty leaned over to fill it with water from the bathtub. He dipped in his finger, not quite forgetting the steam pouring from the room. He didn't want to end this day with a burn across his legs from boiling water. If he could just get through this bath then he would be okay. Using his hand as a ladle, he wet the gauze and felt some fall away. That was before the water soaked to the bleeding parts, a sting which finally brought his tears forth. Who decided this fate for him anyway? Who up there was flipping through of picture book of ways to tortune humanity and signing his name next to every sheet? He could hear his mother spewing something about his abandonment of God and religion returning onto him exactly what he deserved. ******** her. He exhaled, lulling his head back and telling himself to get a grip. He adjusted his posture, wet the bandages again, and continued doing so until all of it fell away and could be unraveled. He tossed the bloodied mass away and lifted his arm to inspect the damage. Squeezing the sponge provided with the bin, Ty locked his jaw and patted the area clean. With one adbrupt, painful cry, he covered his mouth and leaned his hand on his knee to keep himself up. No, he wasn't worrying the other one with coming back in here to check on him. He rocked back and forth for several long minutes, ten, he realized when he looked at the clock. The water in the bin was cold. He renewed it, squeezed on some body wash, and cleaned himself starting with his calfs. At some point, his memory beginning to black these parts out, he finished cleaning the wound and had gotten most of his body clean too. New blood ran down his side, but not much. He was too much in pain to care anyway. His mind felt delirious and cracked. He couldn't hear the sob in his voice when he called for Aubrey. Hell, anyone at this point, to come and save him. He needed that medicine.

She nodded, hesitating just slightly. She wanted to stay, but she certainly wouldn't impose on him if he said he would be just fine. And so, she tucked her hands back to herself, fidgeting her fingertips and turning back towards the door. "I'll still be here if you need anything." She had meant it literally. There was no telling what the other woman would do in his vulnerable state. She had taken advantage of him when he was and when he wasn't, so who was to say she wouldn't do the exact same now? Unpredictable. She swallowed and turned the handle, exiting the still slightly steamed room. The air outside was cold and dry in comparison. A wave of air chilled her cheeks as she closed the door completely behind her. A protector of sorts, but even her own wings had been damaged. She stretched them emotionally, mentally wincing at the feeble joints attempting their flight once more. Only a few flaps and she slumped alongside the wall adjacent to the bathroom, watching the slip beneath the door flicker shadows as he moved inside the room. Once again she picked up her phone to call Finn, pressing the fewest amount of buttons she could and watching the phone calls that had gone empty with conversation. No answer, again.
She sighed and settled it next to her. Immediately she perked up in terror at the sound of a small cry, raising her head and clasping her hand to her mouth. Was he hurt? Did... Did she burn him? "Please let that not be it..." She whispered to herself, shaking her head over and over. Shockingly, more tears found her eyes and she pushed herself shakily to lean towards the door. More gentle wading of water. How long had she been out here? Every part of her urged to break the door back down and find what was the matter with him. But the small part of her that pulled back said otherwise. H-He's fine. It's just the wound. It's just the wound. It's just the wound. It's just the- But her name called forth from his lips and she was up on her feet immediately, clambering and shaking the door open. Her knees gave in and she practically fell to the ground, grabbing the door frame and buckling her ankles as best as she could.
She couldn't let someone that had slowly integrated into her life as a best friend fall in the presence of emptiness. She crawled at this rate, to him, and settled her hands on the porcelain, her eyes scattering over the red appearance of the water. He was bleeding. And he was bleeding what seemed pretty badly. "Do I need to call a Doctor?" She asked, hardly hearing herself over his hiss and cry of pain. "Tell me what you need!" A little louder. She wanted to hold him. She wanted to tell him that everything would be okay. That it was just an accident. That none of this would happen ever again. She wanted to tell him that she was sorry - that she felt this was her fault. That if she hadn't stormed over that day, none of this would have happened. That if it didn't happen, he might not be sitting here nursing everything he could and in such a vulnerable state. Her arms outstretched, her hand shaking and she settled it on his cheek, stroking her thumb along his damp cheekbone.
