"But..." she protests her eyes filling with crocodile tears. "It smells so good here."
Tam sighs. "I'm sure she's not hurting anything. Let her look,,, but no touching, princess. Some of these plants are serious medicinals and highly poisonous if used or ingested the wrong way."

Salunia runs to her father and licks him on the nose, before taking off to explore some more... ooo'ing and ahh'ing over each and every find. She even finds a tiny bird's nest, no larger than a small tea cup in one of the ornamental trees that Shar has added to her forced garden.
Shar returns with a basket over her arm and sees Salunia trying to peek in it and laughs. "Be careful, don't disturb the eggs now. We have a family of hummingbirds in here. They help keep things pollinated and will be good friends to your butterfly. The daddy is on that branch there over yer head. The mommy is sitting right now... worried you are going to eat her. But she's very very brave and won't let you touch her eggs."

"I know that but she doesn't. I tell you what, they'll be hatching soon. I'll let you know when they do. Would you like that?" laughs Shar with a smile for the cub, leading her away and handing Tam the basket.
He looks inside and his eyes widen. "Wine, too... and such a vintage. Does Mica know ye raided the sacramental stores?"
She laughs and shakes her head. "He gave it to me himself. And it isn't the sacramental batch... it's from his private cellar. He said such a monumental event needs proper libation."

She shakes her head. "He's gone on to prepare for the eventide service, which I need to run to myself. You three have a nice dinner now and I'll thank him for you, Master Hopian, never ye mind... after we say our prayers."

Tam bows his gratitude to the healer and follows the lion out the door. "Well, that was a profitable detour."

On the way back hoe, Tam questions Salunia on all the interesting things she had seen on that walk... knowing she had seen her share and then some, in the hothouse if no where else.

"What the heck!" cries Tam in alarm dropping the basket to the ground, ignoring the crash and click of broken glass. He runs to the building in a panic....
**sorry... but truth be told... if I had seen my house in flames, I'd have done just that. now the wine and mead is all gone... sigh...**

*He finds Kero inside, with Thyrion wrapped around his neck, weaving circles around groups of Salamanders, scolding them in the crackling of Firetongue...even Tam can barely make it out...*
Foolish....Young One......Try.....Friend.....fun.....what...Illusion....burning...*Now he glares at the Salamander, and weaves a globe, not a circle, imprisoning the poor lizard entirely*
