On an unrelated note, now everytime I watch a Christmas commercial I can't help but think of Tutu because they all play nutcracker music that was in the anime!
p.s. I'm also a FakirxAhiru fan!!!

I did for a VERY short period of time. It also included modern and tap.
I hear about it all the time, however, because both of my cousins have been doing ballet for their entire lives, and one of them has gone professional - or I guess you could call it that.
I know enough about it to know that the moves they do are freaking HARD. Almost everything Tutu does is advanced level.
And dancing Pax De Deux (or however it's spelled >> wink by yourself?? Impossible. That entire episode I think my eyes were about as big as dinner plates, because my cousin had JUST danced Pax De Duex in the Nutcracker (as Clara) and she was telling me how difficult it was.

Wow, that's pretty impressive! I'm nye-on obsessively addicted to ballet, so I also understand how impossible it is. I did ballet when I was reeeeally young, but I'd love to take it up again. I've was planning to take classes all year and never found the time (^__^;; ) Haha. I'd love to be able to dance en pointe and also improve my balance. I do yoga as well, but I struggle with some of the intermediate balance poses (*x___X*). I've also got a friend who's training to be a professional ballet dancer. He started fulltime at a ballet school the year I started college, so you can imagine he's pretty into it.

I always wanted to study ballet, I've had a fascination with it since a kid. My mom offered to let me take lessons, but I was too shy haha ^^;
I used to have super good balance - working with horses, man! - but these days I don't. I fall and trip over everything, and can't seem to even stand up straight somedays. Dx

I think it's hilarious, my cousin has all these pointe shoes hanging in her room, because they're uber expensive but they don't last long.
I'd say build up your calf muscles for balance.
