"Opal, just get him out of there. There's not much he can do relying on what I managed to teach him." Ezlo glanced back at Vaati. His ears twitched. He wasn't eating the strawberries anymore.
"IS THAT A CHALLENGE, OLD MAN?" Vaati shouted, pointing a clawed finger at him.

Dirt began to move toward Zathier at the thought of Vaati complaining again. "Vaati... Stop eating the strawberries for now ok? We can bring you back here tomorrow, ok?" Zathier suggested as calmly as he could.

"Ch-challenge? What challenge? Ezlo didn't challenge you." Opal said defensively.

"I can to plenty with the magic I learned from Ezlo. But he says otherwise. I'll show you, I'll show all of you!" Vaati growled. Ezlo sighed, that's what he said before he first killed.
"If you want to prove it, first, you'll stay away from the strawberries until tomorrow and-"
"WHY IS EVERYTHING TOMORROW?"

"It's so you can handle it for one day Vaati... we don't mean to torture you... But it's for your own good." Opal explained looking away.

Vaati sat down in the grass with his back turned towards them. He needed to try out some of his spells. He spotted a strawberry and whispered, "To stone with you." The strawberry was half covered in stone from the bottom up, but the other half was still red and juicy. Vaati sighed.
He decided to try the stoning spell just one more time and rolled up the sleeve on his left arm. He whispered the spell and directed it at his left hand. Vaati laughed as the stone traveled up his arms, stopping just before his elbow. "See? This will probably be enough to shut a certain kid up!"
"Vaati! Why would you turn your arm to stone? You don't have to prove yourself to me..."

"Don't make me break that arm." Zathier said threateningly as he created a hammer from the surrounding earth.

"Why would you break it? I could release the spell, then there would be bloody bits of my arm everywhere. You appeared to be a little gross out when I told you how I died. Are you sick around blood?" Vaati muttered with a smirk.

Zathier looked at the ground as the hammer suddenly grew bigger. "If you want to keep your arm... We are going back to the inn." He explained.

"You... make a very good deal. Fine, I'll come." Vaati murmured, slightly peeved that he was being bossed around by children. Children! On the other hand, Vaati was very interested in keeping his arm.

"Good... Opal, can you take us back now?" Zathier asked, but continued to hold the hammer in his hands.

"Why are you bringing that with you? Haven't you tortured me enough? No Minish cap, no strawberries, now I'm being bossed around by a ten-year-old so I can keep my arm. THis has been a good day." Vaati murmured to himself.

"Y-y-y-yes..." She stammered as she stared at the hammer, and backed away from Zathier. She has never been scared of weapons before. But seeing Zathier make something THAT BIG, it terrified her. She's always been scared of things that are larger than her.

"I'm keeping this with me because I don't trust you enough not keep it." Zathier explained as he swung the hammer around in the air.
