Well.. um... He awkwardly looked away, rubbing the back of his neck. They... chased me out of their kingdom with weapons drawn the last time I was in the White Kingdom. It's going to be a challenge making it past the gates without being attacked. Ah, but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Flustered Knight Anon Well.. um... He awkwardly looked away, rubbing the back of his neck. They... chased me out of their kingdom with weapons drawn the last time I was in the White Kingdom. It's going to be a challenge making it past the gates without being attacked. Ah, but I'm sure I'll think of something. *looks up wide eyed mouth dropping open then closing with a snap before she speaks* W-what? *clasps her hands tighter together and tries to hide her worry though probably doesn't so well* T-Talbot, you're brave indeed to be so calm in this situation. I-I'm sure you'll think of something, b-but . . . *takes a deep breath and tries to meet his eyes* Be careful, you got so banged up at the Black Kingdom. *shudders* I-I don't want you to keep getting so beat up. I-I mean I-I know I really have no say, b-but as your friend, it worries me. Your mission is important, b-but you are important too. *fidgets* J-just don't forget that.

A dark shadow seemed to sweep over Talbot's face, and he looked away, head dipped slightly downward. I feel as though... if I fail a second time, and I die because of it, then... my failure proves that my life holds no value. What use is there for a knight without a kingdom, and a knight without honour? I've lost my honour long ago, but if I can somehow save the lives of the warring kingdoms, that will be enough to make me feel as though I've earned the right to still continue forward.

What use is there for a knight without a kingdom, and a knight without honour? You are a person and have worth. You can't dwell on ifs, that will only drag you down. I-I can't say for certain all of this will end in peace, but I can't think of anyone better to do this task. B-but this is not the determining factor of your worth and value in the world. *looks down* I-I wish I could find the right way to help you see you do have the right to continue on. Of course your feelings are valid, as no one can tell you how to feel. I-I just want you to know you do have worth and I would be very sad if you were no longer here. *tries to quickly wipe at her eyes to keep any tears from showing* I-It might not be much, but your existence is important to me.

Oh... I... I'm sorry. He frowned, feeling terrible. Talbot quickly lowered himself, not used to having someone else kneel in front of him. I shouldn't have said something like that. You're important to me, I don't want to make you upset...

N-no, no it's okay. *rubs at her eyes with a sniffle* I-I'd rather you be able to say how you feel. Y-yes, it might worry me. *tentatively reaches for one of his hands* B-but it's better than keeping it bottled up inside. If there's one thing I can do, I can certainly listen. *starts to blush and lifts her hair to show one of her ears for a moment then lets her hair fall back in place* Well that and bandage you up when you need it.

I understand. You owe nothing to me, yet, you show me such kindness. I suppose this is was friendship is meant to be. He smiled softly. I'll do my best to try and think of myself as someone of worth. It's going to take some time, however. I've been told I'm nothing more than an object for quite awhile.

Nothing done because the other thinks it's owed or deserved, just kindness because. *pats his shoulder* I-I'm glad you're going to try. Should you need it, I'll be there to remind you that you are a person and of import.

I was never truly very prideful or happy with myself, even before becoming a slave. I'd like to see in myself what you see in me, however. I know I'll never be accepted by everyone, especially because of my past, but if the ones closest to me accept me, that's enough.

I-I can set up a little palette for you. I can get pillows and blankets, no problem. *taps her lower lip a moment in thought* Y-you know it might help the healing process for you to rest.

Then a nice rest is in order. *gives his arm a light pat* Sit tight, I'll go get the things for a pallet. *gets up and heads off to get pillows and blankets, returns a bit later with an impressive pile of each* Back~ Just let me get this all set up and you can rest. *hums to herself as she makes a comfy pallet*
