*Hopian laughs*
Kero and I working together, at his age...nothing in the forest is safe, not even a bear...we'll bring meat, Tam.

"I was hoping ye'd say that. Fortuny and I can hold down the fort here and Princess here can keep Puss out of the water. Odd cat... he loves to swim." says Tam with a wide grin, rubbing the cub's ears.

Tam smiles at her. "Very well... ye, my lady, are in charge of keeping Puss on the straight and narrow. I need to clean the kitchen and do a bit of transcribing. I've neglected my work for far too long I fear. After lunch, mayhaps we'll do a bit more reading and see what else ye know... how's that?"

Tam winks at Hopian. "She has a serious streak I see." he sends with a mental chuckle. "She takes her duties to heart."
He gathers up the dishes and puts them to soak in the sink, then begins to check the stores, seeing what if anything needed to be replaced.

He notes that all they need are a few spices they can't grow in that region and a bag of flour. It will be an easy enough task for his son to perform and decides to have him stop at the sweet shop for a few treats as well, a stop he knows the young lion won't refuse. He puts his shopping list on the table and finishes the dishes, placing them on the drying rack to air. Then he goes into the living room to work. Pulling his harp over to the desk so he can finger a few changes if he needs to.

*Kero and Hopian return later that night, and both immediately begin skinning, dressing down, and otherwise preparing the meat of three deer, five rabbits, and, oddly enough, a bear, for consumption*
That was a foolish bear, eh Kero?
Yep...trying to attack us as we stalk a deer...good thing we got him...or he'd have got us....

Tam walks out into the garden and suggests that they take the skins down to the furriers n the morning. "Kero, ye need a new head for that hand drum of yers. Surely a couple of good deer hides will earn ye enough fer that. And if he agrees to tan the bear for use as a rug, I'd like to gift it to Shar. She always complains come the cold season that her feet are always hurting. Ask him how much he wants for the task and I send it down to him as soon as I can get it together."

Tams thanks him and agrees. "Yes, the village all was happy that you did. I've been bartering it for our food stuffs knowing they all could do with a bit more. But I don't want to glut the market with it as well. It's time to switch to something else, I believe. "When the two of ye are done, wash up... I've a stew on the grate and fresh bread to put with it."
He goes back indoor and asks Salunia to bring him one of the books they had picked out that afternoon, so she could read to him by the fire.
**it doesn't matter if she can read or not, or at what level, he'll work with it**

He works with her as she reads, helping her to break up unknown words and sound them out, but always letting her try it first on her own. Finally, she grows tired and he senses this and taking the book from her he gently puts her down to the floor and tells her to wash up before bed. "I can draw you a bath in the kitchen. We have a hip tub that would be a fine soaking tub for you, little one." he says standing up and placing the book on a special shelf in the living room, one she can easily reach.
