Tam chuckles and picks himself up, making certain he is ok, then he picks up the cat and carries it to the kitchen to feed it. "I don't know where you were last night, Puss... but ye missed a feast in scraps. I did put some aside to give you today... bon appetite."
He feeds the cat and decides to make porridge for breakfast, hoping the others don't mind. With four adult sized appetites and one fast approaching it they were going through the stores of their meat supplies quite quickly.

Tam chuckles. "A hunting lesson, I presume. Would you like a little sweetened porridge to top it off? I made enough for everyone, but what isn't eaten can easily be turned into oatcakes to nibble on later."

Tam serves up them both a good sized bowl of porridge, sweetened with honey and raisins. Then he places a jug of milk on the table for them to use if they wish. He sits down across from the with his own bowl and starts to eat. "So, princess... did you pounce well?"

Tam calls the cat over from where he is sitting by the waterfall trying to catch one of the colored miniature fish that Tam had swimming there. "Puss, I have someone I want you to meet. She's a very important princess and she is learning to pounce. Do you think you can help her with that?" The cat bats at his finger tips then looks at Salunia as if it understood every word he said.
"Salunia, this is Puss. He may be small but he is an expert pouncer. Would you like for him to teach you some of his tricks?"

Tam chuckles. "Let's see how he does first. If nothing else I know he was living in the forest for some time, no doubt feeding himself by hunting. And he has more time on his paws than you do. As long as he doesn't con her into feeding him my koi, it's a win win situation."

Tam nods. "She needs plenty of protein right now, that's for certain. So... I'm no good for hunting right now. More of a handicap than an asset. Can I count on you and Kero going out this evening then? Or if you'd rather not, I can give ye my purse and you could take Salunia here for a walk down to the butchers."
