Okay, I have a question.
Why was I disqualified if
1) You have the themes up 24 hours early
2) There was not anything in the rules about turning art in early
3) I only turned it in 30 minutes early anyway
4) You didn't warn anyone else about it
Next time, I would like a clear head's up.
Ok, to answer these questions:
1) the themes are up 24 hours early NOT so people can draw a day early, but so that they can brainstorm what they might want to draw. It's also a safeguard for if the mods don't get the themes changed on time. Last year, some contestants got downright mean to Kai_Chi when she wasn't able to change the themes exactly at the deadline.
2) I don't remember whether or not it was in the rules from the beginning, sorry. It is against the spirit of the event, which is why we were warning people.
3) I don't know that it matters.
4) I personally warned another person about this, and I remember a different mod warning someone on the first day. So yes, other people did get warnings about turning in art early. The difference is that when other people turned in art early, they were converting timezones incorrectly and didn't realize that they were doing it.
Was it your day 6 that you turned in early? We don't have a day 6 listed for you, and so you got bumped automatically by a different mod. We decided that anyone who posts early must repost the drawing on the correct day in order for it to count. I'm not sure if this message got passed along to you so I'm willing to bump you back to the main list, assuming it WAS day 6 that you turned in early. Can you repost your day 6 for me?
