paladine goes off to fetch more protein for the little dragon... and returns with another basket... this time the creatures are only mildly sedated and still moving... once again he places them around the cavern... this time hiding some of them in out of the way places... then he nods to Luceil... a challenge... he says quietly.... are you up to it?

*An arrogant smirk, reminiscent of Kero's pride in his abilities, flashes across Luciels face. He flaps around the cavern, scenting each bug and chomping it down, finding all of them in about five minutes*

paladine hides a smile and tells him that tomorrow he would be adding smakes and lizards to the mix and that they would not be stunned.... then he puts away the basket and tell the dragonling to go play outside for a bit....

*Luciel flaps outside to play...but Paladine only gets about a minute of respite before Kero appears...looking very close to tears...he is not happy with his new form*

paladine listens to him complain for the better part of an hour then he sighs and shakes his head... i'd lend a hand, kerobian, but you'd have to risk the event of becoming something even less enjoyable... when one begins to mix spells... attempting to mend spell failures with even more spells, one risks an untold number of possible side effects... it may be best to simply ride it out... it is a comfortable form... you could have been a slug after all or something even less desirable...

I wasn't going to ask ye to change me back...I was asking whether or not this spell had affected Luciel.
I kin live with this shape...though it is too cute for my taste...but I don't know what this spell could have done to me younger side.

paladine stops and looks at kerkobian with surprise... well... he says thoughtfully... he seemed to be doing ok... had an enormous increase in appetite though... and he was quite adept at hunting... something i would not have expected at his age... but nothing untoward... when he seemed ok... i sent him out to play... come to think of it... he should have showed his face by now... he always knows when you're about... we better go check on him...

paladine does a double take... a red... in my valley... what the heck... how did she get here? he wades in and separates the two and forces them to opposite sides of the small area they are in... now what brought this on... he demands in a no nonsense voice

paladine catches him and pins him down carefully with one splayed clawed hand.... and you were so attached to him you boldly entered the conclave of metallic dragons to check up on him... he hisses softly... he doesn't sound threatening yet... but unusually stern... his eyes are constantly flicking to and from luceil to the young red... what say you kerobian... how shall we treat this incursion?
