Vaati smirked, or at least tried to. It was the same as smirking as a human. Then he laughed. "Why you? I can see Opal wanting to get me, but I don't see you. As for the actually request, I'm not very interested in coming back. If Opal wants to make new friends and see other people, who am I to say no and hog up all the time she could be spending with that stupid child?"

"Why do you believe that Opal should spend every waking moment with you? Just because she's a girl doesn't mean she can't get to know other people and still pay attention to you." Kaze explained. He looked down at Vaati as his impression of Vaati began to change.
