Flustered Knight Anon I'm almost certain I'll fall to his blade, but I'm also fairly certain his intention is not to kill me. He wishes to use me as an example. I passed the trail he laid out previously, defeating several warriors in combat. The consequences of failure for that trial were that I become the King's slave. I'm not sure if the rules apply to this coming battle. It seems I find myself in another situation of subjugation if I allow myself to lose. He sighed.

Whatever the cost, I accept it. I've come this far. If I can't persevere further, then it was never meant to be. He closed his eyes, gently hugging his friend back. I can only hope that if failure is what I face, that the war will come to an end on its own, however unlikely. Still, I shouldn't speak as though I've already lost...

Now add a little stubbornness and I'm sure you will indeed persevere. *tries to keep a brave face even though she's still worried about what will happen to him*

D-does he need such an advantage as to not let you heal properly before he battles you? *looks down fidgeting* I-I know it's not my place to say, b-but what honor is there in besting an already injured opponent? *clasps her hands together to try to stop the fidgeting* I-I suppose nothing I say can really help you now, b-but will you tell me what happens once the fight is finished?

Well, I've heard from his people that the Black King is a man who enjoys battle. Perhaps when he watched my battle with his soldiers, it sparked a desire to battle me himself. Regardless, it isn't my decision. He smiled softly, trying to appear reassuring. If it is within my ability, I will be sure to alert you of the outcome as soon as I'm able.
