That Green Gentleman Anon {Ah, that I can understand. I usually try not to draw attention to myself & do things on my own before I have to go near people for something, Which is probably not a good thing because I've screwed myself over in the past. And especially I've noticed I've gotten a bit nastier since one of my loved ones passed, so I've been having to be more careful not to upset anyone & keep most things to myself.
Like even if you don't enjoy someone talking to you or being nice to you, just ignore them! There's one of the bus drivers here, who drives 5/6 once in a blue moon and he tells people "thank you" when they get on & pay the fare. I always thought that was a bit odd, A) I'm supposed to pay or no bus ride & B) I should be thanking you for always being dependable and being good at your job... Though somebody get that man a watch or something, seriously! Apparently he's famous for either showing up extremely late or showing up completely unexpected outta nowhere.
and YES! ALL THE BUS ROMANCES, ALL THE SHIPS! emotion_dowant ... Although we might be looking at an ark at this rate /shot}The van did that weird car-shrug again as he thought about it. "Well I'm more of a ground type, but I like fire sometimes. Nice to hang out in front of a warm camp fire. Technically there's a tiny bit of fire inside our cylinders when the spark plug ignites fuel to turn the crankshaft... I just don't getting hit with fireballs, or somebody throwing them at the Doc. Even if it was his own fault..." Voyager remembered his most recent encounter with a sorcerer. The man had seemed genuinely nice at the start, til Sciurus had gotten him angry.

Sciurus did not look back as he made his way down the hall and to the elevator, passing his ID again. Though there was the smallest of smiles on his face, and being Sciurus, he'd been completely serious. Tamir waved at the surgeon before turning to survey Sammy. He'd been working at the hospital for about a year on Visa from somewhere in India, but sometimes Americans with their jokes and sayings still confused him. "Wait, were you serious or did you change your mind about the question? I'm not sure the doctor was joking, why would you be wandering around down here?" He checked a chart on the desk showing which rooms were free. "So what brings you to the hospital today? I am Tamir, temporary head of Radiology."

The color drained from Sammy's face the longer she was forced to think about it. "F-forget it..." she murmured at last. "I'm Sammy, I hurt my arm today and I think some of the joints are...broken." She didn't really know the proper term for what she was feeling. Broken would have to do. OOC: ~

"Hm... Well he asked for an MRI so let's see what's going on in there. The joints are usually bone ends connected with elastic tissue called ligaments and sometimes filled with fluid called meniscus. Bones usually break in the middle, but the ligaments can be torn, ruptured or just slightly strained." Tamir went around to start pushing the wheelchair towards the room. "Before we start I should ask, Have you had an MRI before? Have any blood, renal, respiratory problems? Are you claustrophobic? Any history of joint or muscle problems before hand; Arthritis, tendinitis, gout, bursitis? And do you have any problems where you can't stand, sit, or lie down for 30 minutes?" Normally things like this would be noted on a patient chart, but Sammy was new and hers would probably be made later. "Any allergies to anything?"

Sammy shook her head as he rattled on the laundry list of issues. "No, nothing like that." She didn't have any allergies, phobias, or prior injuries. If all went as anticipated it should be a fairly straightforward procedure. Especially since she could feel herself getting tired... She yawned. There was a slight possibility she'd just wind up drifting off while they scanned her.OOC: ~

(I understand you fully, there... I find that when life takes bad turns, so do I. Suddenly I just don't feel like a very kind person, and simply think negatively of things for no real reason. D: It's hard to break the pattern once you're in it, too...
What if he's not even a driver at all? What if he just randomly steals a bus every once in a while and makes his own routes? A vigilante driver! Think about it. < U <
Our ship might as well be a bus floating about with some sails on it, at this point. xD)Orrin very much liked the thought of having tiny fires sparking inside. Was wasn't he born a car? His life would have been so much more simple. Especially since cars probably couldn't get sick, either... He couldn't help but to feel jealous. And then Voyager knew so many amazing people too, like Bambi, princesses and sorcerers! All he knew were doctors, more or less. Just a bunch of doctors, scientists and a talking van. And even so, would he insist that Voyager was the weird one of them. "Mmmm... Th-th-that m-might hurt...", the zombie said with a nod. He did know that fire could do that. He just kept forgetting at the worst of times... "S-s-sam s-says that i-i-if I... If I t-touch it, he'll hi-hi-hit m-me... O-o-or t-take out the... Th-th-the s-spray b-bottle..." Orrin shivered, just thinking of that horrid thing.

That Green Gentleman Anon {Pfffft... He might even be making uniforms at home, unless he steals extras out of the closet when he comes to get a bus. So we have a New Yorker, a Spy, a Grandpa 13, a Sorcerer, a Mo, all your drivers, and a Vigilante Driver. This is fun. & yes! With built in raft thingies... it could be like the magic school bus! emotion_awesome }Voyager nodded. "Course I was ok. I had my Clay Armor and he didn't hit my gas tank, but Sciurus got cooked pretty good. Poor guy almost seemed like a lobster, and it still took him a while to heal." The van tried not to chuckle at the vision of Orrin getting a spray bottle. "Sounds like a good friend. 'Least he's trying to protect you."

(No one can stop this madness. NO ONE. emotion_dowant There are far too many bus drivers in the world not being shipped...
My day was saved by one this morning though. Ended up running foolishly late, even knew that I would miss it, yet kept running. And even though no one else was at the bus stop, he waited for me. AND I WAS MET WITH A SMILE. No comments about crazy arm motions, just looking pleased to see even a late idiot as me. TT w TT And then I found the potential love of my life...)Orrin frowned. In his mind, a good friend would never force water onto another friend. It was simply not okay. "Th-th-th-then he p-put a... A co-co-collar on m-me... He's a... A-a-an idiot...", he said with a huff. Of course, Sam really was a good friend, although slightly overprotective. But it's no wonder that the man would do anything to keep his zombie unharmed, when he was usually the one having to patch him up.

"Ok that's a good thing. very good." The farther they went down the hall, Sammy could hear a chirping noise Soon they stopped by a door opening it to a well lit room. The MRI machine was a large, circular, glowing beast, like the gateway to another world, and was the source of the chirping sound. Tamir stopped the wheelchair a bit away from the patient rest and came around to show Sammy. "This is it. Magnetic Resonance Imaging. You lay right down here," He gestured to the "bed". "We have a pillow for you, The platform lifts up, and you go in there for a bit." He pointed inside the doughnut. "You have to lie completely still for as long as you can. And I'm sorry, but everything has to be flat. There's headphones and music if you like, this thing can get pretty loud. Do you need anything before we start? It shouldn't take long."

That Green Gentleman Anon { emotion_dowant YES. We could end up having a whole fleet of bus-rafts! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
emotion_kirakira Awwwwww that's AWESOME! I'll bet you made his day : ) Maybe he was WAITING for you O u O Like maybe he's really your Guardian Bus Driver!
I have renewed respect for and admiration for Jimmy now. I needed to go somewhere and got up hella early to ride with him for two straight mornings, Thursday and Friday. BOTH MORNINGS, two different places/ cars but both mornings people had to be stupid. The first morning we were almost up where I might switch buses, we had stopped at a corner of a sideroad & he was getting ready to pull out, instead of using common sense & just waiting behind us to turn some lunatic in a Lexus cut us off from around the left, AROUND the bus trying to get into the sideroad. & really she was close enough, I really thought we hit her. He had just started to pull out & course she came from the wrong angle & with the bus she couldn't quite get in. She wanted him to back up! Oh hell no lady. Buses don't back up. Take your Lexus & move already before he lets this angry mob back here off the bus. Then the next morning, closer to my house (& I know this moron didn't use his mirror cause seriously wth?) some idiot in a city vehicle was parked on the side. almost just as we're passing he suddenly moves and cuts in front of the bus doing a u-turn. REALLY?? Gotta love Jimmy though, his reflexes are awesome and both times he was cool as a stone. New Yorker comin' through.} Voyager still didn't understand about the collar. Though he supposed friends did crazy stuff to each other all the time, that was the point wasn't it? "Well I guess friends can do stuff like that sometimes. Just having fun, y'know? Not everybody's perfect." The van started laughing. "I buried Sciurus once. Although at the time we weren't really friends yet."

(If that random guy is my bus guardian, then Jimmy is yours. xD "I SHALL PROTECT THIS LADY FROM TRAFFIC IDIOCY~!" A knight in a metal steed. emotion_dealwithit
They have some seriously amazing reflexes though, a lot of drivers I've met. People can just run straight across the road without a single thought to it, and yet bus related accidents happen so rarely. I do remember this one lady who nearly missed a roundabout once... I swear it, she was driving like she just remember it being there in the very last split-second. <____<"
And another one missed his turn due to BEING ON THE PHONE. What made it worse was that this made him end up on a road that went straight for the neighbouring city, and not the one we were going to. It was just the stupidest thing...)"Y-you... You b-bu-buried him...?" It suddenly felt like a good time to be slowly backing away, but that was easier said than done when being inside the crazy car. But just to be safe, the zombie scoot a little closer to the door. This, however, was pointless when considering the fact that he didn't know how to open it. But then a thought occurred. One that made him forget, for a moment, how insanely creepy that sounded. "...How d-do you... Ho-ho-hold the sh-shovel...?"

Sammy would be lying if she didn't admit, at least to herself, that even in her semi-conscious state the machine was a little intimidating to look at. She figured keeping still was part of the package, but the news that she could have headphones in there was a pleasant surprise. "Headphones would be nice. I'll lie still though, no problem about that." It was nice to hear that it wouldn't take very long. It was getting late and she had to be at work the next morning...OOC: ~

That Green Gentleman Anon { heart Maybe some of the bus drivers are superhuman /Adds "Guardian Drivers"/ to the list. And YAY JIMMY! & the GUARDIAN NEOPLAN Although Now that you say that it's ironic, because the morning with the lady he was driving 535, Who is often Mo's partner and who has rescued me a few times. I even still have a transfer from him. the Neoplans are the big accordion buses, my favorites & even more ironic, a while before the semester was over in the mornings when I traveled with him, we would joke about the 40 sometimes. & he said at one point he drove 40 at night. Starting Wednesday I have to retake my math class at night... Which means 40 will be helping get me home around 8-9 pm. I wonder...~
& they do. Like I know they have to work real hard to always be at their best and they do it everyday so naturally they're good at it, but the bus drivers are seriously amazing drivers & I know some of them used to be truck drivers, like Jimmy. That's really one of the reasons I admire them. Like Mamma was probably good enough to be a bus driver. & it's taking me so long to get a regular car license, I wish I could be half that good.
I only remember ever hearing of 3 bus accidents recently. a long while ago one bus rearended another, dunno why that happened. But last Winter was horrible, and someone driving 30 down the hill accidentally crashed into the hardware store at the bottom, but to be honest it was icy & they were driving a Hybrid. I think a while before that there was a motorcycle accident with 14, but from what I understand the motorcycle had lost control and there was nothing the bus driver could do... Heheheheh One of the drivers when I was on the 6 one time, there's part through Dobbs Ferry where 6 goes straight on the road, and 1 turns down a side hill. The bus driver actually turned and started doing 1C's route xD And like I figured there was something in the road, but nope he just made a mistake. Guess he also drove 1. but it was ok because farther down the routes connect again. I just thought it was funny, but one of the passengers was a butt-hole about it.}Just then the rocks on his dashboard started whispering, though what they were saying couldn't be made out. Voyager kept laughing. "Yeah only up to his neck though, and only overnight. He wouldn't leave my rocks alone, the ones on my dashboard. Kept throwing them out; and he buried them once, so I figured I'd return the favor." Voyager gave Orrin a funny look at his question. "Shovel? What shovel? Never used one of those before."

"Ok." Tamir set the lock on the wheelchair with some difficulty, then plopped a pillow on the bed. "Can you get up and on alright?" He went to the side control pad and pushed a button to make sure the bed was at it's lowest. A pair of headphones were already hanging on the side in wait.

She nodded. Standing up was easy enough, but the second gravity started to pull on her arm her eyes instantly teared up. "Ack! F-forgot what that felt like..." She murmured, stifling her voice some. Clearing her throat and bracing herself she made the transition quickly, hopping up on the table and lying down as directed.OOC: ~
