One O took Zidane's hand in a firm grip and smiled as he started to step towards the dance floor. "A teacher I am not. An advice how ever I can share with thee. Hear the music and feel the rhythm of the notes. It is when one starts to worry about the dance that the wrong steps are made. Listen, feel and always start with your right foot."

He stopped briefly among the other dancers and turned towards his partner. A dance couple whirled past them as One O adjusted his grip on her hand. They were standing facing each other as O put his hand on her hip. The music was playing a waltz which made him count in the tact before taking the first step leading Zidane across the floor.
In the back of his head he could hear the clock strike. Like a Cinderella story where the party always is ruined at midnight.

Carefully, pulling on her time doing performances with her brother, Zidane began to wrap her mind in the sound of the music. There was an inherent set of instructions hidden in the notes that played across the room, and regardless of his former statements, Zidane could tell that One O was, in some way at least, helping her follow them.

It was pleasant, dancing in time with a partner, rather than in step with a fellow performer. The girl with the green hair just wished that it could last longer than it did, because though One O seemed not to notice, Zidane heard the strike of the clock with every fibre of her being. She smiled slyly, and on the last gong of the grand bell, placed a chaste kiss on One o's cheek, before removing her ungloved hand from his.

White powder stained the fabric where her bare skin had touched it, showing that it wasn't so bare after all. With a small curtsy, Zidane spoke again. "I do apologize for ruining the cloth of your gloves, good sir. However, there was a reason I had not danced before then, and it was not your charm alone that drew me to allow it. It was also that the unmasking was due soon, and it wouldn't matter if my make-up were smudged.

"Surely you noticed that I am a bit too pale?" Zidane shrugged smally, reaching for the plasticy green of her wig, and unclasped the object from the back of her mask, letting the wig slide into one hand, and the mask fall into another. It still looked as though she were wearing a mask beneath that one, too. The contrast between her original, darker skin and the thick white powder became more obvious, and the pink-for-the-month hair fell to frame her face.

Another curtsy, this time deeper.

"My name is ever changing, really. For most of the night it was, after all, Zidane Sharpe. But, for most intents and purposes, people call me Lumiere Meridienne, Senior and once-upon-a-time founder." Lumiere grinned, now, her restrained smiles paling in comparison.

"And what of you, One O?"

Genevieve entered the room quietly, relishing the deep, resounding gongs of the clock. It was midnight. Though she had made the decision to come last-minute, she hadn't realized how late the choice truly had been. It was nice to be there, regardless. People were socializing, chatting and talking, though it was obvious they were trying to solve the riddle that each individual was. Some were dancing, though a pair had stopped and were currently unmasking themselves.

Oh, what wonders had she missed while moping around at home?

Sighing to herself and adjusting the top of her black, silken dress (why was it that her own designs tended to fit her most poorly?), she stepped over to the refreshment table and served herself a glass. A large group had gathered around the area, and she glanced at them a few times, though decided against initiating contact. They seemed caught up in their own discussion, and though she didn't fancy eavesdropping, she did hear the word "seniors" within it. She smiled a bit to herself. The Seniors.

Genevieve had been there for a year by the time of the ball, and she had seen the ups and downs of the Senior status. It was exciting and interesting and prestigious, as guild hierarchies often were.

She shook her head to herself as she took a few steps away from the table. Too close was inviting, too far away was repelling. Normally, she would be all for it, socializing and smiling and having a good time, but tonight, she was late, and she was saddened slightly by the memories that were represented in the ball. So much had happened within a year. So many friends had been made, and lost.

The dark-haired woman closed her eyes and leaned against the wall, holding her glass in her hand and thinking deeply to herself.

As the clock struck twelve Zidane kissed him. It was just on the cheek but none the less. One O giggled as Zidane unmasked herself. How many hours had she struggle to get all that make up to be perfect? Then only wear it a few hours and one dance?
"It is an honour Lumiere." One o raised his hands slightly. "Do not worry about these. I do have more of them."

One O pulled on the fingers of the gloves and they slipped of with ease revealing a pair of delicate female hands with a thin coat of red nail polish.
He drew his hand through his hair leaving it a bit messier than it had been a few moments ago. Underneath the hair small green horns were visible.

"I am the girl that always leads when dancing. Mostly because the others want to practice." One O let his hand go down to his neck untying the knot on the mask. He pulled it away from his face and took the red fake face in the same hand as the gloves. "I am Stingdragon. With one o in the name. I have not been around for very long and to tell the truth I was here once and left. The level of the school was intimidating."

She grinned at the whole thing.
"I must have improved my flirting. Last time I tried it was a complete failure."

Emily smiled as the clock struck twelve. So, it was time for the others to find out who she was. She reached with one hand to remove her mask, then took out the contacts she had in her eyes. They were disposable, and so she tossed them in the nearest trash bin. Her real eye color was a misty blue-grey. Other than that, she had not faked her appearance. Her hair was really a light brown and her skin was fair.

Judging by some of their questions or pointed looks, she guessed that at least one of them had already been suspicious. Oh well.

"Well, I guess I should introduce myself properly." She crossed her arms lightly across her torso. "Guild captain, at your service." She smiled. "You probably know me as Kitty_Katastrophe, or just Kitty, but my real name is Caitlin." Her eyes scanned the others in the small group that had gathered around her, a politely interested smile on her lips.

"So, may I ask who you all really are?"

Larahn looked vaguely disappointed as the bells indicating midnight came sounding through the room. At the same time, though, now she would be able to see if she had truely guessed at exactly who people were that she was speaking with. Off to the side, on the dance floor, she saw that other people were removing their masks and reintroducing themselves to people.

Glancing back to her group, she saw that 'Emily' was the first to remove her disguise for the night, and she laughed as she saw who it really was. She had certainly had her suspicions about Emily's true identity, and Kitty had been among her guesses, but her original idea had been wrong. Oh well, that was the fun of it all.

When the question was then asked to the rest of them, she was the next to remove her disguise. The first thing she took off was the horrid wig that she had been wearing, and she let the auburn hair trapped underneath come tumbling out. From there, she removed her sunglasses and placed them inside a case that she had been carrying with her. Without the shade of the glasses, grey eyes were revealed again.

"Quite the disguise, Kitty," she said with a grin, then spread her arms slightly to shrug fully. "To all of you that don't know me, I'm known as Puppa, since people never seem to leave off the 'a' when I've asked in the past." As she spoke, she had to wonder how many people had discovered her identity when her disguise had messed itself up
(a.k.a., posting with the wrong account) She had fixed it almost instantly, but still she was curious to know.

Keitaro paused as the clock struck twelve distinct notes. "Well, I guess it's that time." Too bad he came late and didn't have much time to do much of anything. Either way, he was glad to find out who everyone was. First to unmask was Lumiere, then One O, Caitlin, or the Guild's captain, then finally Puppa. A little bit of a surprise there.

Next is myself I guess. Keitaro thought, smiling as his hand gripped the simple black mask with white eye coverings. His other hand grabbed his orange hair, which was actually a wig. He pulled them off simultaneously to reveal dirty-blonde hair, and hazel eyes.

A slight smile was perched on his lips, as he looked around at everyone. "Now that this fine event is over, I should introduce myself as I am. My real name is James, but most of you know me as Auron."

Seeing everyone pulling of their masks, Souta decided to do this same. He was certainly surprised as he saw who some of the people where, even though he didnt participate a whole lot in the actual party.
"Wow Kitty, I swore you were Puppa.. but now I know I was wrong"

"See everyone?" Natasha smiled, pulling off her wig to reveal her natural brown hair. "I told you at least one, if not more of the seniors would be in attendance. She grinned, taking out her contacts and putting on the glasses that she was never seen without. "Make that three seniors." She smiled her bright smile. "It's me, Metanaito."

"And it's true I heard a senior was coming... both from Kari and Meri. So I didn't TECHNICALLY lie." She laughed, re-equipping her Dark Halo and Guitar of Demona. "So, shall we REALLY get this party started?"

"Now, a question: who could tell it was me?"

{{*pokes the Meta* You're the only one I got right!}}

Lumiere giggled softly at Stingdragon's costume removal. Guess I was right, I really don't remember spending much time around this one. I've got to pay more attention next time... "Well, being the girl who leads probably assisted you at least a bit in figuring out how to sweep someone off her feet."

With a quick glance around, the newly pink-haired young woman saw masks being removed left and right, and scanned the revealed faces, rubbing at her makeup with the back of one hand before realizing it wasn't achieving anything anyway, as both her face and hand were coated.

A glance at the blue-dress the used to identify Emily Bates made her stare for a moment. Kitty? Really. Hnn. Never would have guessed. Even in hindsight it doesn't look obvious! The girl mentally kicked herself for being oblivious before scanning the other faces as well. Puppa had been one of the girls Emi- ...Kitty, had been talking to after her. And Souta appeared to be a familiar face, even if she couldn't place him. Then, one of the less social attendants reveal himself to be Auron, and once again Lumiere was depressed with her inability to see similarities.

The one person she'd managed to pin was Natasha, and that was probably only because she'd know Meta for almost as long as she'd been in Koiji. But, of course, that didn't stop her from perking right back up in joy at the knowledge, and nodding to comment, even he was probably wouldn't have noticed anyway.

"Well, then, Sting? How many did you guess, any at all? I only got Meta right." She stated, turning back to her partner and grabbing the other girls hand again. "And, what do you say I show you the way I learned to dance?"

The art of love is largely.....

{{I could only guess Kitty 'cause she was so social XD}}

The chimes that tolled the hour resounded through the hall and Sowen gave Emily, a gracious bow and smile, "It seems it is that time." Stepping back his disguise merely melted away to reveal none other than Koiji's senior teacher.

Cap smiled broadly to the other in the group before nudging Kitty's shoulder, "I think the champagne got to me."

[Hah, I knew Capricorn Empress was at the party!]

Pupp watched as Keitaro revealed himself as Auron, a man that she recognized but didn't necessarily know. It was a good disguise, like the rest of them, but the few girls that had dressed as boys definitely put the icing on the cake.

Next, Souta revealed himself to be a familiar face, Coza, from another area of the guild. She had to laugh, as she had wondered briefly if the two were one and the same, but again, she had moved on to other ideas. It was rather funny to hear that he had thought she was Emily that night, though.

When Natasha became another of the seniors in attendance, Pupp wasn't surprised at all. "I don't really know most of the seniors yet, so I didn't figure out who you were...but I knew you were a senior," she said with a grin after the question was asked.

Finally, Sowen became Capricorn Empress. Pupp had figured that she was somewhere in the guild, but had actually thought that Zidane was the lady in question. It was a very good disguise she put on.

"Aww, only one person guessed it was me?" With a chuckle, she added, "It looks like you guys are losing your touch."

She nodded at Kitty, turning to her and patting her gently on the shoulder. "I guessed right on you and Stingdragon, but the others eluded me. I totally did not guess that Sowen was Empress. I thought for a second that Sowen was Auron, until 'he' started flirting anyway." A smile crossed her lips as she greeted her friends. "That was fun, for the short time I was there."

She put away the gloves into the pocket. They were not needed anyway. "Some girlish dreams on how one should be treated by a gentleman on a ball." She raised her head and looked around. People were unmasking themselves to both right and left. There was a guy that revealed him to actually be a she. Stingdragon waved at the other cross dresser and grinned.

"This guessing thing was harder then I thought it would be. I had my suspicions about Kitty since she is the only one here that I have really spoken to before." Actually she had been concentrating on getting the old English correct and had not paid much attention.
It had been fun anyway.

The dropping masks were entertaining to watch and so was the different ball guests guesses. Apparently Metanito had guessed her identity something that was both fun to hear and interesting. "How did you know it was me?"
But Sting had no time to ponder as Lumiere grabbed her hand for one more dance. "Will thou lead this dance my lady?" She had mimicked the darker voice she had used before as One O.

{{What do you think of that oh so subtle pause I left for ya, Meta?

As for the dance and acrobatics moves from here on: Well, I can technically do them, but unfortunately, not as well as I'm letting on...}}

Lumiere laughed lightly at Stingdragon's return to her first voice, the deeper one with the charming accent. "Girlish dreams or not, it worked, eh?"

For a breif moment, Lumiere silenced herself so that Meta could reply to Stingdragon's question before returning to her earlier statement.

"Now, about that dance. I'm not sure leading is the right word, so much as teaching. Like I said, I'm a performer. So, more or less... Catch me if you can." With wink, Lumiere tumbled backwards in something caught between a fliip and a roll and stood again a few steps away from Sting. "Don't worry if you can't match me. The man is always just background fodder in this things." She laughed again, and beckoned her new friend, intent on making her rounds through the unmaksed ballroom, and on avoiding being caught all at the same time.
