yes and no. i don't think wow i bored i'm gonna read yaoi and get horny, but sometimes i do. mostly i just like it because its cute and to get my mind off of sad things.

I'm a pervert. That should be your answer. Don't get me wrong I love the stories and whatnot, but I don't view yaoi just for the stories or cuteness. There's a lot of other stuff that amuses me as far as being a good story or cute or whatnot.
And when I say yaoi in this instance... You get the point right?

I voted yes and no because its not so much as sexual gratification as it is sexual curiousity.
I read/watch it too because I feel that the mangas/animes that are yaoi/shounen ai center around a relationship more than, as far as I've seen, anything else. That and I'm a hopeless romantic. To watch a couple struggle in their love for each other and find real love... *sigh* it's beautiful.

I agree with you on that. Also, its more interesting than just reading any old shoujo romance, because its a type of romance(as in BL) you don't see all over the place. If that makes any sense!

I voted, and yes/no. Sometimes I just find slash/yaoi very much a turn on, but it's like Sephiroth_Gabriel says, love is love. Simple as that. And it's different from the het, which is a big plus.

Yaoi is, in itself, sexual. Therefore, it isn't necessarily BAD or EVIL to recieve sexual gratification from it, I think that's just fulfilling the purpose of Yaoi. However, I hate stories where it's nothing but sex; no plot, nothing more than, "start, sex, finish." Therefore, I said no because I enjoy a cute Yaoi with no sexual gratification more than I do a sexy Yaoi with no plot. Get what I'm saying?
