I don't see any problem with your couch. You could sew some pretty pillows to make it look more welcoming, if you want.

A stand or small table for the TV would probably make it look less out of place.

Your walls are a bit bare, but that's really easy (and fun) to play around with. You can look for lolita related posters, or artwork. If you draw, paint, sew, etc. you can even make your own wall hanging. I'm the kind of person who likes to have most of my walls covered in pictures, but I understand that that's not everybody's style, so put up what you feel comfortable with. I had a dorm mate in college who had a beautiful quilt hung on her wall. Oh, and my mom put her grandmother's quilt on the wall in our livingroom because it was too delicate to use as a blanket anymore.

My mom just gave me a new room thats pretty bare still and I think its a wonderful canvas already.

Sewing Table
Bed Frame
HeadboardAnd a bit of bathroom that matches

So, so far I really like the antique green color, but the first thing I'm doing is getting rid of that red rug and making it light pink or purple. Also, since it is still my sewing room too, I want to dress up the body I'm ordering, so I'm thinking of buying this MM dress to put on it or making one simular. What do you guys think? Anything else I should add?

Im always sewing, so my room is littered with fabric (and loose pieces thread that are always getting stuck to my dresses XD), bows, things that didnt sew right, my BJD Hitsuji, various wigs, and lace.
Lots and lots of posters as well @_@ Im working on making it more loli, but seeing as its looked the same for a few years, its hard to part XD
So yes, please excuse the messyness ^_^

I think it looks great so far. Do you have a bed, or just the frame? I'm curious because there was no mattress in that picture. XD

I love MM, so if you can get ahold of that dress, go for it! I lov having a dressform in my room to display what I'm working on, or have completed.

Your room is a lot like mine, I mean, in the way that you're always working on things, so it's messy. And you have an adorable bjd. What sculpt is she? I've been working on putting together a room for mine, and it will certainly be cleaner than my own room.

I really love your wooden furniture, too.

Thank you! biggrin I am honored! rofl My dear mother bought and refinished them from even-junk-store-unwanted-furniture XD Im looking for ways to make it more loli (perhaps pick up the fabric, scissors, and dangerous needles up off my floor XD) Im thinking about replacing the acrilic-paint-spattered blankets and making something like this:

http://www.target.com/Simply-Shabby-Chic-Bedding-Collection/dp/B000LZE30M/602-2849410-0894232?ie=UTF8&node=14122181&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1

Accutally, my BJD is a boy XD
But dont worry, I dress him up like a girl so he's always getting mis-gendered. Except when people embaress him and lift up his dress or skirt scream

He is an Abio Angels Yi~! heart
They make some really cute girls as well ^_^ :

Oops, I couldn't see his face, so I assumed from the qipao that he was a girl. sweatdrop Theres a cute tiny from Cherishdoll that's a boy, Jodie, but he has the right face for a girl character I want, so he'll have to crossdress, unless I can get him with a girl body. That's why I appreciate Customhouse, how their tinies' bodies are ungendered, so you don't have to worry about that kind of thing.
Edit: I just couldn't resist posting this The girl is wearing a perfectly lolita coat. heart

One thing that's useful for picking up needles and pins is a magnetic pinholder, or even a large magnet. Not refrigerator magnets, but the thick, heavy pieces of magnetic metal. You hold them over the floor, and the pins and needles are 'sucked' right to their surface. Using pins with coloured heads helps, too, to see them, though dressmaking pins are nicer for pinning out patterns.

That blanket is cute, and I'm sure you could make something like it. I'll let you know if I see any other similar ideas on the internet.

Thanks for the ideas! biggrin
Cherish doll looks so cute! They seem pretty cheap as well!
My onee-san once bought a boy head for a girl body (in full size though) but she had to sand down the head in order to make it fit XD
Cherishdoll looks like the heads could be interchangeble though 3nodding

No problem!

I'm a tinies addict, though I only have one doll, and they do tend to be less expensive. It took me a while to find a doll that was 21cm tall and the right face for what I wanted, so I'm glad that Cherishdoll doesn't only offer limiteds. I'm pretty sure you're right about them being interchangable. I was playing around on the site, and discovered that they allow you to choose a girl or boy body when you're ordering a full set, even if the doll is pictured and described as one or the other. Children often lack facial differentiation that adults have, so it makes sense.

Maybe I should stop hijacking this thread. sweatdrop I took a photo of my stuffed animals today, and will post it as soon as I upload it.

Pretty! I always wanted a quilt in colours like that. I tried quilting, but I'm really terrible at making the pieces line up.

My room is in need of a massive paint job and refinishing, so I thought might as well turn it lolish.

I'm more of the Sweet Lolita type.

My room is messy, I was planning on cleaning it on the weekend. Please excuse the messiness, I avoid my parents up here so I often bring munchies up here and forget about em. xD

My TV and dresser.

My computer and desk area. It's messy with mostly popcans...I love pop. xD

My bed with a wierd little glitter lamp that I got for xmas one year.
http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/2018/picture014uk4.jpg
And just for kicks, the view out my window.

I will be putting white blinds up on my window soon, so I'd like some suggestions to accentuate that.

Next to my bed I have a small side table with a cat design on it. I got it for xmas from my grandma when I was 6 so it's sort of precious to me. The drawers have cats painted on them and on top is a small clock radio. The top is cream coloured, the sides are cream, and the ridges are brown. What can I do with it to make it more Lolita style?

I'm also going to be repainting my room pink and cream colours, so what kinds of suggestions do you guys have? surprised

I like the colours your room is now, but I understand wanting to repaint. What I think would really help your room look more lived in is some pictures on the wall. Or, even hanging pieces of pretty fabrics on the wall to help break up the solid colour.

The way to hang the fabric is to get thick cardboard, or foam board, and cut it in a square or rectangle, then you place the fabric on the front, and fold the edges to the back and secure with tape or staples. I saw a woman's sewing room decorated with a few squares like that, that co-ordinated with her paint, and it looked very nice.

You can also try decorating the top of your dresser with a vase of flowers, real or fake, it's not important, but flowers will bring a feminine touch to your room. If you don't have a vase, look through thrift stores for them, or use a pretty bottle. If you use fake flowers, you'll want to weight the bottom with marbles or glass stones so that the vase doesn't fall over from the top heavy flowers.

Some small, framed photos of friends or whatever you like to look at would be cute on your dresser, or desk. I know that dollar stores sometimes carry very flowery frames that are a little over the top, but affordable.
