Ok so..... I get it I guess. Has anyone ever heard of the Japanese Genki Textbooks. I don't know the real name but I know it says Genki 1 on the front.

Wow, this is excellent. I've already learned more than I've found anywhere else, and I can't remember half of that. Awesome.

Mokoni If "nan" is what then were did "nani" come from? I thought: nani=what na, ni, nu, ne and no change to n before certain sounds. The only one I can remember right now is d. なに=what なんだ=What is (it)?

The 3rd lesson is very confusing... You say first that:
Are- that over there Kore- this
and then in the sentences you already use 'are' as 'this'...
AND in the vocabulary it says:
Kore- that over there Are- that over there
So as you can see i got really confused on which is what... Because i would take that you wrote it wrong and:
Are is that over there
and
Kore is this
BUT the examples completely confused me....

Chii_Asakura Oh and how do you make Firefox translate those ?????? in other's sentences... I'm having a hard time and I'm sorry if I wasn't suppose to post here sweatdrop I just thought it might be easier to answer the two questions at the same time... sorry!!! I use gTranslate extension!
It makes it much easier!! There might be better extension, too... Go to here. That is for ones for translation, ok? ^o^
dark-T-lord how do u say i love u heart I know this! ^,^
Aishiteru is the normal "I love you" Aishiteruyo is same, but more formal I think. ^,^;
Daisukidayo is also "I love you" (It's use in love confessions more, no??) Daisuki same, but less formal. ^,^;; Suki or Sukidayo means just "I like you" too! ^o*
I hope I help you both!!

Mokoni If "nan" is what then were did "nani" come from? I thought: nani=what I don't exactly know the rule, but just from my experience, you use "nan" before desu.
Nan desu ka?
...and "nani" before "ga".
Nani ga arimasu ka?
Also, use "nan" before counting words.
nannensei what year student nanji what time nanmai how many [flat objects] etc....
