i agree with alot of the people here, i think blaziken should be a playable character

Ahem, allow a hardcore Pokemon and a hardcore SSB fan to weigh in.

First things first, as far as playable characters, Keep Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Mewtwo, because they are actually good characters. Yes, even Jigglypuff is a good character, she justs needs to have the right player. I embaress my friends all the time by beating them with Jigglypuff...
Pichu needs to go as a seperate character, and should instead be an alternate costume for Pikachu, as should Raichu.

Before I go on to who should be added, I would like to mention that by the time Brawl comes out, Diamond and Pearl should be out in Japan and the U.S...so we should consider all Pokemon from both Ruby and Sapphire and Diamond and PEarl as new possibilites, as well as revisiting old ones.

As a playable character, I think we need one new character from Ruby and Sapphire, and one from Diamond and Pearl....my nominee to represent R/S is Blaziken....he's just cool, I really like him, plus he's both humaniod in shape, and he's about as tall as a normal person, so he would make a decent fighter. My nominee from the Diamon and Pearl era is Lucario...I can already tell he's going to be a very popular new Pokemon, plus once again he's humanoid in shape.

As for Pokemon in the Pokeball, they seem to love adding Legendaries, so expect to see every legendary Pokemon from Ruby and Sapphire to make an appearence....with Jirachi being simaler to Mew and Celebi. As for other Pokemon, I'd like to see Sharpedo, Dusclops, Cacnea, and Salamence to make an appearence....I don't know enough Diamond and Pearl Pokemon to really suggest anyone, but I would like to see that new Electric-type Squirrel Pokemon show up....

And for all you people who say they should remove Pokemon, I would like to say this. Pokemon is just as much of a Nintendo franchise as Mario, and probaly has earned them just as much money if not more. It has earned it's place. Further more, a lot of players enjoy playing as the Pokemon, so if you removed them, it would upset players.

And one last word for the person who suggested they add Final Fantasy characters....Nintendo has stated they will only add characters that appeared on a Nintendo system...that means No Cloud, No Tidus, No Sepheroth, No Leon...none of them could appear in it...ok, Cloud could if you count Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. But still, if you want a Final Fantasy character so bad, then I nominate the Black Mage from the original Final Fantasy....he pwns Sephiroth any day...his super move he uses when he grabs the Smash emblem could be Hadoken....then again, my honest opinion is that Square should use the one third party character they are allowed to put in the game (Trust me on this one, Ninetendo will probaly only allow one character per third party who gets a chance) to put Geno from Super Mario RPG in Brawl...that would be far more awesome than stupid Cloud....

But I digress from the topic...I just felt like I should get that out....

Hehehe, sorry...It's just that I don't play the Final Fantasy games for Playstation...I just hear about them and stuff...and Cloud and Sephiroth are defintly the two most fameous Final Fantasy characters...their names just came to mind faster...I was trying very hard to avoid flaming anybody....

But I still think that the original Final Fantasy was the best...I think Black Mage and Fighter would make awesome characters for Brawl....
