Archangel Lionheart I'm sure its happened to others, but I've had people call me a pedaphile just for being on here. I haven't done anything, just that I actually come to this site. I saw one lady get called that and it shocked me. I mean its bad enough kids are getting cell phones but does our time to relax and get away from it all have to be taken too?

I'm glad someone finally made a guild for us. Now I love anime, I love the SNES and video gamely goodness, I enjoy Nickelodean cartoons now and then. What I don't love and I don't enjoy is being looked at as ancient at 22.
As much as I love the concept of the life issues forum you read these topics and go "holy monkey farts!" (censored). I have to agree with what someone said earlier, you have to wonder how many of these kids are for real. And the ones that are, a lot of them write about things that are just... where is the common sense??? I mean I know I did some silly things as a teenager but I don't remember any wild sexual encounters without protection or self dignity. I mean golly, you think these kids would realize that doing drugs alters your perception of reality, that sleeping with your (opposite gender) best friend without birth control could result in pregnancy, that jumping off a cliff could be fatal.
I think that's the big difference. While age doesn't guarantee maturity level, the decade(s) gap between us and the rest of Gaia does account for some serious difference in perception.

I don't know why people should be abusive. In Japan we'd be revered as elders... given American culture hasn't twisted them too much. Btw lightsenshi, is your ava a tribute to Tuxedo Mask? Your sn and siggy seem to indicate a fondness of the Sailor Moon series.

I only joined gaia in june so i have no idea how it was before. But more and more Im already running away from the forums im shocked to see what they let go on in some of the forums The other day i went in one and some little girl was talking about if she should be getting with her bf for the 1st time I was like omg how old are you and she said 11............. I about hit the floor
It scares me how kids are now and to think that its only gonna get worse if things dont change and fast...

I work with teenagers and some of them are dating older guys, one her parents let her bf move in with them, they now have a car together and she thinks life is grand and that when her bf comes home from work in the mornings(he works 3rd shift) and is "in the mood" it is no prob cuz everyone is sleeping. I love this girl but I fear for all her hopes and dreams. That is why I like to come here to talk to adults we know what happens in situations like that and can talk about it, she insists they are being safe and her college plans will be safe, that is 2 years away. Then I was in the forums and was floored by what I was reading, 11-14yr olds talking like they were us. It kinda scares me that everything now happens at such a young age.

I'm a High School Math teacher (switching to speech and debate this fall!!!!) and I see and hear some things that are just too much to handle, and talking . It's nice to have a pool of unbiased adults that I can talk to about trying to deal with some of these issues instead of balling up everything, and it helps even more knowing that I don't really know anyone in the guild too well so no one really can judge me.
