Lykos is essentially dead weight being rolled over but Ares manages and the ref makes the count.

Lykos rolls his shoulder off the mat, just avoiding a 3 count

Ares began to slap the mat in frustration. He literally had the championship there and then ripped from his fingers. Getting to a knee he would still be consumed in a rage but the fire would die down slightly.

Lykos remains on the mat after the kickout, letting his vision recover while also still trying to breath through the low blow. he'd taken too much damage to just pop back up

Ares got to his feet, holding his back as he got up. Not wasting too much time, Ares headed for the ropes. Exiting the ring and searching under the apron shorlty after doing so. Fishing out not one, but two chairs which he threw inside the ring.

finally coming back to awareness, Lykos realizes that the match hasn't ended, thankfully. If he wants to remain champion, he can't just lay on the mat forever. So he rolls to his side first to push himself up on all fours and then slowly back to his feet again

After his successful trip to the outside, Ares entered the ring, continuing to favor his back but he was able to move freely without fighting his body halting on him.
Once inside the ring, Ares saw Lykos was on his way back to his feet. Looking to stop that, he ran up and tried to deliver a running knee to the side of Lykos head!

Lykos is almost vertical again when Ares charges and clocks him with a knee to the head. The Dark Wolf stumbles and falls against the ropes, fighting through blurred vision to spot where the challenger might come from next

Ares was on a roll, taking it to the Champion in one of his best performances since his return. Showcasing the comfort he takes in this style of wrestling. Following the knee, Ares would double over, grabbing one of the chairs by its legs. Getting a good grip on it, the Chicagoan waited for Lykos to get to his feet.

Lykos forces himself to straighten up, his vision starting to clear finally, and turns to search for the challenger

Watching Lykos pull himself to his feet after the major beating, the challenger would wind the chair back before throwing it forward. Aimed at the head of the Dark Wolf!

Lykos finally can see enough to spot the threat coming for him. The champion ducks the chair and launches himself forward, aiming to take Ares down with a quick and desperate spear

There goes his weapon, which Lykos would duck at the last second. Leaving the challenger open for a spear that laid him out in the center of the ring.

much as Lykos would love to pop right up after the spear, he'd been on the receiving end of punishment for the last several minutes. Now he's also down after desperately taking the challenger down, but raises his head to look around the ring. The chair doesn't interest him. No, he wants the weapon he'd brought to the ring himself. Rolling to the corner where the bat had been dropped and rolled earlier, he grabs his chosen weapon and gets back to his feet.
Now standing, he'd wait for Ares to get to his feet to swing the bat for his abdomen, aiming to pay him back for the earlier shots from the chain

Once Lykos got off Ares, he began to stir. Feeling the effects of the spear. Little did he know that wouldn't be the worst feeling in his gut. Upon getting back to a vertical, Ares would get blasted in the midsection with the bat. Dropping Alexander to a kneel and then a ball on the canvas.

satisfied that a point had been made, Lykos tosses the bat out of the ring and lets out a howl. He's ready to put an end to the match, as he reaches down to pull Ares up into position for the Howler, his version of a powerbomb
