Lykos wisely rolls out of the ring under the bottom rope once he's released, standing on the floor while leaning against the apron. He hadn't escaped unscathed but he had escaped and now decided to take the moment on the floor to let the blood flow back into his legs a bit

Bison glared. So he wanted to try escaping to the outside did he? Bison slid out on a perpendicular side, gaining momentum as he charged around the corner and came barreling toward Lykos with a running shoulder block

Lykos was dealing with the effects of the boston crab, however, the champion might have given him too much time. He's not at his quickest, but Lykos does have just enough time to sidestep the shoulder block and attempt to shove Bison forward with his own momentum into the steel stairs

Bison charged in like a rampaging bull, and got juked like one. Flesh met steel as his shoulder hit the corner post, howling in pain as he clutched his arm.

in all fairness, that dodge was pure instinct, not fully intentional. Frankly, his back hurts but he's got to press on if he wants to win the gold here tonight. Gritting his teeth against the pain, Lykos attempts to catch Bison from behind as he's clutching his arm, then launch him backwards with a german suplex

Bison winced as he gripped his shoulder, stumbling back only to get caught and thrown overhead to come crashing down to the floor

Lykos gets back to his feet after successfully dropping the champion on the floor. The ten count is rising at this point, so it's in his best interest to try to get the champion back into the ring. As such, he attempts to pull him up just enough to roll him back in under the bottom rope

Bison was groggy, but his massive frame was lifted and rolled back into the ring before the ten count

Lykos slides back into the ring as well and moves after Bison. Going after the arm that had crashed into the ringpost, he quickly attempts to lock him in in fujiwara armbar

Bison is roaring once more in pain as his arm is wrench, reaching out and grabbing the bottom rope.

Lykos has to release the hold, but much like Bison earlier, he's going to add a little extra, as he only releases when the ref hits a four count. He can't afford to let the champion be at full strength and toss him around. Speaking of which, the challenger rises his feet after breaking the hold. It's only a matter of time before Bison is back on his feet, that much is sure, and as soon as he is, he'd attempt to catch him in a rolling spinebuster back to the center of the ring

Bison struggled, getting himself back to his feet only to be lifted and planted back down into the canvas

that was a fair amount of big moves exchanged between champion and challenger. Time to see how effective it had been, as Lykos floats over and hooks the far leg for a pin attempt

The referee dropped down to count once more.

NO! Bison the champion got the shoulder up after the two count!

Lykos is forced into a seated position when Bison kicks out. He gives nothing away other than a slight frown on his face after the kickout. He was wearing the champion down at least but he needed something more to put him down.
The challenger rises to his feet, raising a hand as he moves around a bit, waiting for Bison to stand. Once the champion is up, he'd attempt to grab him for a chokeslam
