Rex stayed leaned against the barricade, trapped and unable to stop the barrage of chops from Salem into his chest. After taking several, Rex would attempt to cease the assault by shoving Salem back and attempting a Tomahawk Chop to the chest of his own.

Salem was giving his chops all the strength he could muster, hoping he could debilitate Rex enough to keep the bigger man down, but Kobra conjured his power and cleaved back at him, forcing Croft to take a few steps back in recoil!

Rex winced and rubbed at his chest. He looked at Salem for a moment before moving away, moving farther down the barricade, needing to create some distance so that he could really put the hurt on him.

Salem was trying to catch his breath, desperate to get his second wind as Rex started to retreat along the barricade to gain distance and reserves, himself! At the urging of his fans nearby in the front row, "Showtime" mustered his faculties and pursued his child's grandfather, struggling to catch him before he could recover!

Rex glanced over at Salem and shook his head. As he got near the end of the barricade, he shook his head again and hopped it, giving Salem a shoo gesture as he started through the crowd.

With each step, Salem's determination and vigor grew, the snake giving chase to his larger counterpart as Rex hopped the barricade, forcing Salem to follow suit!

With Salem following, a wicked idea sparked in Rex's mind in an instant. Spotting a fan wearing an Apex T-Shrit, Rex grabbed them, lifted them, and launched them in an attempt to distract Salem.
If the distraction worked, Rex would grab the chair they were seated in, and attempt to catch Salem in the skull with it as soon as he got a clear shot at it.

Just as Salem stepped over the barricade, a fan was launched at him by Rex, forcing Croft to catch the fan in the APEX shirt lest they get injured in Kobra's cowardly fleeing! But no sooner had "Showtime" grabbed the fan and moved them aside, he'd have steel slapped across his skull in vicious fashion - sent backwards and over the barricade once more to collapse in a heap at ringside!

Rex followed Salem back over the barricade as the ref called for the bell.
Ding...Ding...
The ringing was stopped as Rex reached into the time keepers area and grabbed the bell away. He moved toward the announce table and dropped the bell on it as he looked back toward Salem. Looking from Salem to the bell on the table, another idea came to him.
Dropping the chair on the ground, he moved closer to Salem.
"Get up, boy..." he barked. "Get up."

Salem heard the bell ring, but having his own bell freshly rung, the sound was indistinguishable from what already echoed in his ears! The world was a blur - it'd be a miracle if he wasn't concussed from the brutal chair shot, but still Salem fought to stand, even as Rex looked to bring him to the announce table! With a desperate act of defiance, Salem swung hard with a hook at Rex's jaw, looking to give the man even the smallest receipt!

Rex was hit with the hook to the jaw and let out a chuckle at the attempt before attempting to answer it with a knee to Salem's gut. If it was successful, Rex would try to grab Salem by the head, lead him to the announce table and try to slam his head into it.

Salem's poorly aimed punch glances off Rex's chin, getting him a knee to the gut for his troubles! Doubled over, Salem could do little more than gasp and stagger as Rex dragged him to the announce table and slammed his head into it, exacerbating his head trauma!

Rex smirked, leaving Salem leaning against the table and climbed onto the it, posing for the fans to freely boo him. With a wide grin, he would attempt to drag Salem up onto the announce table with him and then try to deliver another knee to the gut to keep him winded and out the fight.

Trying to hold himself up with what strength he still had, Salem braced against the announce table only to be pulled atop it, the referee shouting at Rex indignantly as Salem's sternum ate another hard knee, hunching him over!

Rex looked to the bell he had sat on the announce table and back to Salem. With Salem hunched over, Rex would attempt to hook his arms and put him into position with his head above that ring bell with a crazed look in his eye.
