"I'm not afraid." Monroe giggled as they were on their way to the hotel. She thought of how brave he had been fighting off those strange creatures, and how strong. She was certain the male could protect her from anything that could possibly be thrown at them. Monroe joined him in his optimism though, thinking that nothing could possibly go wrong with the evening. She didn't really want to put his strength and bravery to the test. They were definitely out of here if things started to go sour. It sure was nice to get away from the village life though, and have a reason to doll up a little bit. Not that she was overly dolled up, there was only so much you could do for fashion when you hailed from a fishing village. All of her excitement for the evening ahead of them vanished when they entered the hotel. "Oh..." Of course, Monroe really hadn't heard anything about the events from the previous year. The whole thing just looked rather... she was having a difficult time finding a word for it. It felt like it was no more special than an evening at home though. "Well... at least we have each other." There wasn't any warning signs flashing 'turn back now', but she was feeling a tinge of disappointment.

She really didn't want to be here. At all. So why did she come? Well she heard the pink foofoo was gone. That was great. She could work. Second was that Eris might around. That was the other point of why she came. She wanted information. Even just a little. What had happened to them? She didn't want to be seen though. She just wanted to be hidden and be left alone. But even just having a chance of finding out what the weight that was lifted off her mind...What was it? She wanted to know and only those around her birth knew the answers.
It was easy enough to slither in earlier before the other guest arrived. She settled in a dark corner in the back of the room. Hopefully no one would come back to her. Maybe the state of everything would distract the other guests. She didn't want to bother or be bothered by them. The two other adult naga though, that caught her attention. She didn't move and hunkered down a bit more. Did they also have the heaviness in their minds too? She couldn't ask either. She would look insane. So the corner she stated. Just waiting and watching.

His search for someone familiar, perhaps the teen he had met last year, proved fruitless and Enfys was taken by surprise when he realized that someone was talking to him. "Oh, cards? Yes, I know how to play cards." Enfys responded, trying to recall the rules to the game he had learned last year, not realizing there was multiple things that could be done with cards. Enfys took a few steps to join the couple at the table. "Hello." He said to them both, but he was looking at Hortense. His gaze drew back to the table as the male explained some rules, these didn't sound familiar at all. They did sound easy enough though, as the male said. "I'm Enfys." He said, thinking that he should introduce himself before they started playing the game, and well, he was curious about the girl's name as well. This was a Venus celebration after all, even if the party didn't seem as glamorous as before, this pae certainly was.

It had been a long time since Eleora had made it out to an event like this. Her bird like child had finally... flown the nest. That had been a breathe. There was a relief that had washed over her that she had done all the had could for the strange bird child, and that she was now caring for herself. It had been quite the experience caring for a child who stared at her constantly with that eerie gaze, and had only one word that would probably haunt Eleora forever. The flutter had done her best to be a light in the dear's life, as hard as that was. She was relieved that the period had passed though, and she was free to do the things, she hadn't done in so long. She thought of how many of these invitations she had discarded before she finally picked this one up. She had no feelings of disappointment when she entered the hotel, the modest decorations and meager arrangements of food made it clear that someone had tried. Eleora was looking forward to a wonderful evening filled with dancing and other such joys. Looking around, she didn't know anyone. Perhaps she should have asked her mother and father to join her, a date night out might have done them some good. Oh well, she was just going to have to start somewhere. OOC: Eleora is available for arpee

Aquos let out a yelp as something hard collided into him, followed by a female voice. "Ah sorry so sorry I didn't mean to-" He stopped speaking as he turned to the voice. If his face wasn't white already it would be. Oh no. Not another one. Not again. She was a one of those pony thinks like his ex. Oh no he hadn't even thought of her in awhile, nor did he really want to. That part of his life was over and he didn't want to think about it. Hopefully no one knew about him.
Aquos was brought out of his thoughts by the cat's incessant snapping of her fingers at him. He couldn't let this poor lady suffer b***h cat's wrath. He went over to Rainbow Dash and whispered to her. "You do not want to stay here. Come. You'll be safer on the other side away from her" Hopefully she understood and he made a head motion to follow him away from the awful cat.

Mule account for tartara; ----- Course she wasn't afraid. She was awesome like that. He smiled broadly at her before entering the spacious hotel. His smile faltered slightly. No music? No real decorations? There weren't even any games! When he heard it was going to be different this time... His eyes fell on the empty chair. RIP. WELL that was morbid. He quickly shook his head and stuck back on his smile. Optimism! "The party is just starting, they might be setting up still." He offered warmly, seeing the disappointment flash across her face. "We'll make it work regardless though. Even if we have to make our own fun." That was said a little mischievously. Maybe they'd check out some of the other buildings. This was a resort after all.

Quadira smiled at her love's suggestion and tightened her grip on his tail in response. What a thoughtful and dashing prince she had managed to marry. Reaching up, she ran a hand along his face and sighed. "You are so sweet, darling. However was I lucky enough to find you? But no. I think we should find friends first. People first. Food later."
Turning back toward the crowd, she pointed off in the direction of a black and white whale guy. "That horned fellow seems safe. Let's go say hi dear? Surely a party can exist if we make new friends?" She smiled lovingly and patted her love's hand. "Come on."

Azurea entered the grand round room of the entrance of the hotel there was already so many different pae everywhere. For most pae this would have likely been overwhelming, but Az wasn't worried she delicately floated up to find where she could check-in and get her things settled in her room. She loved the water decorations she found them beautiful but she was a little disappointed to see that they were not running, but she would not pout. There was very little that phased Azurea in her life, she just continued to float along in her life no matter what happened. She felt that if she just kept going she would figure something out. She still didn't really know what she wanted to do with her life, but she wasn't bothered. She hoped she would find some friends to do things with at this lovely hotel. She looked at the strange paper hearts wondering who had made them and thinking they could be made a little nicer if they had some glitter or something. She giggled and then turned to look around for who to speak to in order to check-in. Her expression a little confused. (Dai has dibs but others can chat with Az too <3) ------------------------------- Kelpie was on land boo ya!! Not her first time since she recently met a super cute mini who was now her friend. She loved the little mini so cute and pretty, she was sad that they didn't have time to come with her to the hotel but hey you had to roll with what you had. Kelpie would never let anything or anyone keep her down. She was spirit and spunk. You could not keep Kelpie down she was ready for some fun, sun, and a chance to party with other pae. She would go to the spa, beach, maybe play at the casino even thou she wasn't much of a gambler. She would live this vacation up to it's fullest!! Kelpie took her stuff, went to check-in and headed up to put her stuff away before she started exploring the second floor of the hotel. (Open for interaction) ------------------------------- Henry entered the hotel and he was way this was so much it was beautiful but his eyes widened this was nothing like what he was used to. He lived in a small village and worked in a little shop selling little gift shop things that he made and traded for from travelers and adventuring pae. This was really the first time Henry was getting out to do something different and exciting. He was way out of his normal comfort zone. The grand room and all the different pae it was all too much and it showed on his face that he was a little shell shocked as he stood there blocking the entrance with his bag. (Open for interaction) ------------------------------------ Reindonis was ready to rock, he hoped this would be an amazing party and the look of the hotel he didn't think he would be disappointed this place had a flash and bling that spoke to him as his kind of party place. He was really looking forward to seeing what all he could find, who he would meet and how much fun he could have. He was ready to party the night away and see how good the music was. He quickly got himself checked in and put his stuff in his room and went right to exploring so he would be ready when the real party started. (Open for interaction)

Tilikum watched with only mild interest as pae trickled in. At least a few were other naiads, but others... Well that bird pae and the snake pae definitely were on his do not talk to list. What a bust... Movement caught his eye at that moment. A pretty colorful girl with a black and red male were heading his way. And pointedly looking at him. Did they want to talk to him? The orca marked male perked up. Maybe he would make a friend after all. "Hey, I'm Tilikum." Best behavior now, we're trying to make friends. He smiled gently. "Some party huh? I thought these were crazier."

Kelebek nodded her assent, while throwing a look over toward the refreshment table. "It doesn't look like there's much, but we can certainly explore."
Another glance around the room prompted another addition. "The whole thing looks a bit....sad, doesn't it?" She wondered who'd put all this together. Perhaps a few lingering cherubs? It made her feel slightly weak in the stomach to think about. Poor little dears.
:"Everything feels so empty, even with all these guests."With heart aflutter, Xoana slipped her arm into Beltan's. Truly she had not thought further ahead than this moment. Where could they go? She'd overheard Uncle Hjortur suggest that they go to the food table, so she definitely wanted to avoid that. Was 'anywhere we can be alone' an acceptable answer? Heh. Probably too bold. "I heard there's some impressive gardens here," she offered. "I'd love to see how they compare to the Palace Gardens at home." Surely a land garden couldn't be more beautiful than the Queen's.

Rime looked up as someone spoke to her. She grinned widely when she saw it was Smolder. "Hey! Umm I'm not sure? I haven't eaten anything yet, kind of wondering how the food got here if there are no staff you know? But uh it looks pretty good. I think I'll try some pizza what about you?"
Rime grabbed a piece of the pizza and a few other things and put them on her plate. Nibbling on the pizza she decided it wasn't bad but definitely not super high quality fancy like one would expect from a party. "it's all right nothing fancy."
She was utterly oblivious to the snake that had been sizing her up for a meal behind her.

Rainbow Dash was not the most discrete of individuals. When the male started whispering about getting away from this feline creature, her eyebrows shot up and she looked back and forth between the two. It became clear that this might be why he had his face buried in his hand when they ran into each other. "Ohhhhhhh..." Rainbow Dash said in understanding, even if she didn't have all the details. Then, realizing herself she quickly looked away and whispered "yeah, that's a good idea." Really, this guy was talking about keeping her safe, but Rainbow Dash wasn't worried about some mean ol' putty tat. It seemed like he needed a way out though, so she went along with it for the moment, letting him lead things away. Watching him carefully as they went, she was probably more concerned about him than she was the cat. She was what they had been warned about after all. She couldn't shake the familiarity of him though. "What's your name anyways?" Rainbow Dash asked bluntly. Maybe if she heard his name something would ring a bell.

"No kidding... There isn't much festive about this at all..." Hjortur glanced back down to his flute, give it a flick, before looking up once more. "No use just sitting around though. Maybe we can figure something out about what's happening if we look around." He lifted his tailfin out of the water to shake off the water and get it to split apart into legs. With a one-two motion, he swung them around to the other side of the ledge and stood up, hand outstretched to Kel's.
"Shall we?"
Perhaps they could ask around the food area and go from there.

For the hunter, last year's party had been a decent enough excuse to slip out for a relaxing evening with a pretty lady. And since they had made their leave long before trouble erupted, he had no knowledge of how quickly everything had gone horribly wrong by the end of it. Similar to another celebration gone wrong still all too fresh in his mind.
The seasons passed and though the search continued, little hope seemed to remain that they would find a decent lead on the missing princesses. Even when not searching, those like the hunter were pulling extra work to try and make sure the search parties were well supplied for their forays.
Phorcys had little thought except to have one nice evening away from the stress in the Lake and perhaps spend it with a lovely lady friend. He did not expect the lackluster atmosphere at the Hotel this year. By the Waters, what had happened here last year? Other guests were arriving, but their expressions showed many of them were as bewildered as he.
With a frown, Phorcys headed towards the nearest water access to submerge and see if Mellinae had arrived yet. Perhaps this wouldn't be the party scene they were looking for. Perhaps there was somewhere else nearby a bit nicer where they could salvage the evening and make the long trip worthwhile.

Applebloom looked around as she walked into the Las Venus hotel. It had been a few years since the last time she came to one of these things, but she was pretty sure it was better than this. She'd heard about Venus, which was another reason why getting an invitation for the party this year had been weird. Curiousity had gotten the better of the Fauny and she had made her way to the hotel.
"This is...I don't even know what this is," she murmured mostly to herself as she wandered around and looked at the crumbling statues and the giant RIP where Venus' throne had been. Hey, that kinda looked like someone she knew from the Tree. She waved to the wolf-like faun, happy to at least know someone who was there. "Hey!" she called to him.Jae slithered in, a scowl curving her lips. Was this what all the fuss was about every year? This was what had Pae going nuts? Pathetic. The only thing that even made her want to stay was the possibility, however slight, that she might get to eat one of those damned birds.
Until such time as she could have a tasty harpy feast, she supposed she would just wander around and see what kind of things she could get into. Maybe she'd pick at some of that food on the tables, as pathetic as it looked.
She was barely through the doorway when she hit something. Someone? Ah, damn. She was small. "Watch it," she growled. "Shouldn't be in the way." Daisicle Mean snek lady ran into tiny bunny fae xD Niraj had heard so many good things about these parties. He thought he might have missed his chances when he heard what had happened to Venus. But lo and behold, an invitation had appeared. Niraj had even been excited to come and take part in the festivities. They even had accomodations for water-based Pae!
But, here he was and this was.... Disappointing. Very disappointing. The gambling tables didn't even have anyone manning them. There didn't seem to be anyone running the show this year. Sure there was food and stuff but it didn't look...great? With a sigh, he thought he might just look around and satisfy some curiousity, maybe find someone to talk to who could know more about the party. But he likely wouldn't be doing that stuck in this pool. Heaving himself out of the water, he took a moment to get acclimated to gravity before wandering around a bit, his tentacles making slight popping noises as he moved.
Dancing was an option but...difficult for him outside of the water. Or at least he was pretty sure it would be, especially for faster songs. He'd probably trip himself up over his tentacles. He was so busy thinking about the logistics of dancing on land with eight sticky tentacles that he bumped into someone. "Oh, sorry," he mumbled.Wolfs Heart have an oktoboi for your fluttergirl 83 Right! So. Great-Grandma's party this year seemed...quiet. So far anyway. She felt a little weird coming with an actual date instead of her sister, since it had kind of been their tradition since they were teens and first snuck out. It kind of fit since they had been uh....conceived because of one of these parties. Not to mention, both sisters had their own kids due to these parties. Maybe she'd be safe this year, at least from those tiny kitties.
"So, uh...what do you wanna do first?" she asked her date with a smile. She was not going to think about her kids today. She was here to have a nice, relaxing time, or maybe even a little fun. Though it didn't seem the gambling tables or even really anything was being manned by staff... Weird.
