Duskmourne continued to watch and record, the pounce though was a little close for comfort. Pyrrha had been lingering toward the back of the group like she had. Hopefully it did not mean to pick them off. But like the last few Victor interfered, bringing some comfort to Dusk. He did always mean what he said that much she'd known since she met him. Insidious spoke once more. His voice seemed a little strained when trying to speak to all.
Follow she did after all there was more to record. [I'll write more latter gotta run another errand]

-gives up on the RP part- my brain can't brain the words x.x
Oracle found herself uneasy, though she endeavored not to outwardly show it to her companions. She wanted to instill a sense of calm within those she still traveled with, if it were in her power. On they traveled through the labyrinthine grove. She wasn't sure how many more they would lose on their way, but she would endeavor to stick with the group as long as she could, unless she was called upon to defend the group.
The next level they proceeded to had a comforting feeling with the softness underpaw, but the air was muggy, at best. It was as though it were solid rather than gas and it was hard to breathe. Oracle tried to focus more on the soft ground beneath, but a chill ran up her spine and she whirled around to where she heard an ominous bout of laughter, her fur raised.
As the ??? Attacked it made it's pounce on Revel1984, In a flash Insidious feather black wings fanned open as he made a one b'alam wall between them and the attacker.
The large light magus was true to his promise and interfered the dastardly pounce. With his swift help and Revel1984's efforts the dark '???' was subdued. However, there were more levels that must be explored! The large pale magus, had to follow the group. So firmly, he instructed Revel1984 to remain with the '???' and keep watch over them, till their joined descent.
Revel1984
Revel1984 has 'Whited out.' and no longer can join the climb through the tower. Your prize will be revealed at the end! Congratulations. Thank you for helping Victor and Insidious!
As the '???' was subdued, Insidious gave a sharp look to the rest of the group and let his ebony feather wings lower on his back.
'Everyone, gather your self and maintain your barrings, we continue forward,' His raspy quite voice, strained with a audible hiss, as he raised it in volume so everb'alam heard his instruction.
'Follow me!'
As the room was cleared and the ??? Was taken care of, Insidious let out a soft breath, as they all pressed on as a group. Just as the previous room they carried on once more with one less. Wordlessly the feather b'alam hoped they would be able to have enough help to face what waited for them at the top of the tower. It was however a good thing to have as many other's as the scaled magus brought. Or else they would have had to leave the ??? they have caught to be free or let themselves be over run.
Leading the group to the next level, Insidious made a glance to make sure that the others followed easily behind them. They seemed to understand what was happening the more of their comrades were left behind. Ruffling his feathers, the dark pelted b'alam paused as he reached the next room with the others.
No sooner then when the the light magus passed though the room-everything became early still.
A once again the foreboding sensation filled the room,
A pounce and a capture! the quiet black fire triber Gervu was instructed to remain with the ??? by Victor. Everything was getting relatively repetitive save for the rooms. Their assailants were becoming fewer. There was an assailant in each room and Dusk expected each room to come. Dusk would still spare no details. This was a historical document not a story, though she might make a secondary draft that was a bit more exciting. For the sake of any who did want to make an interesting story out of it. It did have potential.
But If left unattended Dusk expected they'd run back up the tower and overwhelm Victor as strong as he was even victor couldn't fight the entire tower on his own. Dusk once again brought her attention toward insidious as he spoke once again for the group to follow. Dusk made sure she was the last up save for Victor of course. She surveyed the room with her pen. She heard the Victor's soft paw pads fully enter and then the feeling of the room changed once more.
Two more down. The white nan traced her steps with more urgency now, adrenaline and a bit of dread lending her purpose. It was everything Shira could do to be brave when their company was dropping off all around them. She had traveled all her life, of course, but always with Manny; he was a constant, as sure at her side as stone. In his absence, it was hard to think of these other B'alam as anything other than ephemeral. Especially given that they kept disappearing, caretakers to the mysterious figures attacking them. She didn't even know their names!
All except Insidious, and he raised more questions than answers. Was it any wonder that she decided to begin with him? The nantll took a deep breath as she drew even with their guide. He likely had to focus, and she could respect that - Manny had long since taught her the importance of a sensitive mission over her own desires. That knowledge and the deference that came with it kept her shoulders even with his flank, far enough back that he could ignore her if he wished. Shira hoped he wouldn't.
"Do you know what's happening here?" She murmured, glancing surreptitiously at the dark winged tah. Even if there weren't crazy...apparitions...assaulting them every ten seconds, the situation seemed to demand whispers instead of shouts. "Why are we being attacked? What is-"
She didn't get a chance to finish. Bristling, Shira turned to face their new assailant. For the first time, frustration and a bit of anger mingled with her fear at the shadowy being. She'd had a good streak of questions going!
