Those rolls were laughably bad. What I tend to do in my games is let people roll their stats once or twice and if they are terrible, or they hate their results, I then let them use point buy.

What I was thinking of doing was letting everyone role, and the person with the best or highest role, I would make that the point buy.

That is bad.... I'm sorry. I wish you could roll real, dice Could just use point buy per the book What is your point buy? I've used point buy in my last two campaigns and I hate it with a passion. Well using the standard point-buy from the book, I usually get a 15 14 14 10 10 8 before racial modifiers Well, that's certainly better than what you rolled. I'll allow the point buy from the book I guess. *hugs* thank you.

wow, I was just looking at point buy in 5th. Its different then it was in 4rth or even Pathfinder/3.5. The highest you can even go before modifiers is 15!

This is the point buy from the book Kowsauni You have 27 points to spend on your ability scores. The cost of each score is shown on the Ability Score Point Cost table. For example, a score of 14 costs 7 points. Using this method, 15 is the highest ability score you can end up with, before applying racial increases. You can’t have a score lower than 8. This method of determining ability scores enables you to create a set of three high numbers and three low ones (15, 15, 15, 8, 8, cool , a set of numbers that are above average and nearly equal (13, 13, 13, 12, 12, 12), or any set of numbers between those extremes.

In principle I hate it, for balance sake, I'll go with it. I despise Point buy to the core of my being. But thats because I like random chance, and getting stuck with crappy roles is part of the fun. For me at least lol.

Researching the classes . Thinking of making a Genasi Cleric so we have a definite healer, but also looking at possibly making an Eldritch Knight fighter.
