"We all set here?" She asked as he bandaged up the puncture, "I should be okay, but I will take your advice, doctor, even if you don't want to share a meal with me."

Sciurus nodded, putting the bags in a mini freezer against the wall. "Thank you for your generosity. I suppose if you really insist on doing your eating with me, my shift will soon be over. After my rounds, and if no one has done anything stupid to themselves that I have to clean up..." He trailed off, shaking his head in disbelief at some of the things he'd been called in on. "I may be able to get you a steak. Although I'm sure your dear prince will probably be cross about it." The doctor stuck his head out from the door peering around the office. Noticing the book reader, he raised a brow. "Need any organs? Second opinion on something?"

"I would enjoy having dinner with you, doctor, if you're open to it." Minty laughed as she left his exam room, "Although, don't take it the wrong way, you are not the sort of person Prince gets jealous of."
Seeing the other in the waiting room, Minty nodded, "I can wait for you to get off shift, no problem." She sat in a chair and picked up a 6 month old magazine.

The surgeon followed her out, peering at the man with the book. "Only because you aren't on my table yet. If I sent him your innards in a box, I'm sure it'd be something for him to really get cross over." What had he just gotten himself into? Ah well, Maybe it wouldn't be too bad. If it was, maybe he'd just carry his threat out. Time would tell. "It shouldn't take that long."

"Angry, perhaps. Jealous, no." She smiled at him over the magazine, "But I don't think you'd do that, not at the restaurant at lest. Not very good table manners."

Something twinkled dangerously in his pink eyes. "Too many witnesses..." He confirmed. Back then, Lucy hadn't thought he would either. "I'd prefer to do my jobs in private."

"Which is precisely why I think I shall insist that all our meals be public." Her smile did not waiver, "I do not deny you are a dangerous man, doctor."

That brought a smile out of him finally, although a chilling one. The doctor actually had to laugh at that. "Yet clearly you have some smarts to you. As you wish."

"Only reason I made it this far, doctor. The completely stupid do not long survive the company of serial killers and murderers."

*Sorry for not posting sooner. Lawn Mowing, then dinner, then my sister commandeered my laptop.... cat_sweatdrop * As Xashowd as delving into a section called "Summoning Venti Without Getting Windburned", he noticed a Doctor and...Minty? Walking out and having a conversation about a meal. He put his book back in his Satchel and stood up. "Oh, Hi Minty." He said a little nervously, since the last time they'd spoken was under tense circumstances. "I was looking for the doctor who owned the van you gave me the blood from and wanted to thank and apologize to him...is this him?" Xashowd asked, motioning to the man in the labcoat.

"This is him. Just watch your organs around him. He'll probably find a creature who lives off blood and watermelons worth a case study at least."

Xashowd chuckled at that one. " I'm guessing he's the quote-unquote 'Mad Scientist' type" He looked over at the man and introduced himself. " My name is Xashowd, and I'm the reason there's two blood bags missing from your van. Sorry about that...Vampiric habit."

He couldn't really argue with that. "It has served you well, it would seem." Sciurus turned and gave Xashowd a small bow. "I am Doctor Sciurus, and I'm a surgeon, thank you. You owe more gratitude to her," He gestured to Minty; "She has kindly donated some in replacement." The surgeon's eyes sparked with interest at the 'vampiric' part, and he studied the young man. "Are you still technically undead, or just harder to kill?" He might not be able to do anything with non-human anatomy, but there would definitely be questions.

Minty shuddered and sunk lower in her seat, hiding behind the magazine. She did not like vampires. Nope. It was a good thing Xashowd had kept that little detail to himself during the grunny invasion.

" Really? In that case, thank you very much Minty." Xashowd said as he bowed. He turned to regard Sciurus' question and was surprised when he saw the sparkle in his eyes. People didn't often take an interest to him when they found out he was a vampire. Most of the time they ran away...though there was one who leaped onto him, saying something about an "Edward"...strange girl. " Well, a little of both, actually. I was born a Vampire you see, a race of Daywalkers to be precise, and as a result I have most, if not all, of the skills and perks of my ancestors. Increased physical attrbutes, magical affinity, some shapeshifting, and a few other things. My blood itself is different from human blood, and is the part of me that is most Undead. Came in handy with the Grunny situation...Seems they don't like Undead stuff." Xashowd explain, rambling a little. He enjoyed that someone took an interest in him.
