The biggest problem is that Mind thinks she needs to apologize.

Mind, you just keep proving how bigger and better of a person you are than Sirenz will ever be.

I only just heard about this, and this is unutterably wrong. Actually, sadly, it sounds like what happened about two months ago in my own shop, Dream Dancers, which imploded when, during a depression-fueled accidental hiatus on my end, my junior co-owner ran the shop into the ground and alienated all the customers and staff, and proceeded to sob crocodile tears when I came back and tried to sort things peaceably (she called me a backstabber kicking her off her property when I have senior control of shop and lineart), proceeded to lie and slander those around her (to my own toweringly infuriated and fiendishly loyal younger sister's face, no less), kicked me out of my own shop, guild, and PB, and has generally let her fiance do all her fighting for her...while complaining that the shop and everything about it is taking her away from her son, who is not yet two years old, and closing with intent to reopen the shop, none of which was done with my knowledge or consent.

I think I actually sympathize with you, and respect you at least as much as I ever have before in all the years we've known each other. You were backstabbed out of the blue by a friend and, as you were trying to do right by the shop and those in it, the shop died. It is most expressly not your fault. No, you shouldn't feel constrained to be the least bit kind to Sirenz in the least. However...as hurt as everyone feels, the fact that you still act as a kind, true-hearted individual...that makes you the better, more loved human being. I most emphatically agree with everyone, you were the best thing that happened to Soquili. But I think you are also the more respectable human being at the end of the day, and that ain't an easy feat, m'dear. As much as I curse out my ex-co-owner and will not likely forgive her for somewhere between 5 - 10 YEARS, I still consider her a (flawed) human being, whose life I do not have the right to make miserable and impossible.

I'm in the process of rebuilding Dream Dancers. I may be far premature and rather forward in this, but when your shop and mine are both up and running, I would like very much to request and offer affiliation. Get the word and support out for all involved. Be supportive of our customers and staff, and to those who have a hard time in the B/C. I will bring over all of my Soquili, and, regardless of whatever else happens, I will lend my and Dream Dancers' sympathy and support in this difficult time.

Just remember this, hon: You did the right thing for Soquili. You were the best thing that ever happened to Soquili in a long time. You, in your heart of hearts, are doing the right thing as a human being. And I'm proud to say I know and am at least a little bit friendly with you, mindsend. heart

EDIT: Side note of what I'm doing over in my own realm: Doing the familiars from scratch. Reopening the DB (which ATH e a r t saved for me! heart ) to the staffers, who feared xx Aps, my ex-co-owner, had taken. Trying to recollect all of the lost certs and uncerts (certifiably the point where I started using the expletives and started working on a PM to the mods, which I still have not heard back on, and need to ask some other mod for help on. ><). Reworking the world-building to make sense with where all the plots and metaplots were going. Reworking the herds to function much better. Planning the re-opening event. Getting a new PB for the shop, as well as any additional mules donated to the cause (I was gifted the shop and its mule accounts, but none of the email accounts behind them, sadly, and the creator of the shop suicided almost two years ago). Making a new shop thread and possibly guild, both from scratch, if I can't get accounts back. Hiring new staff to fill the gaps left by those wishing to avoid conflict or shouldn't've been hired in the first place (bad work ethics and often shoddy work, with no interest in learning to improve their work). All of this is being done in conjunction with all of my wonderful regs and staffers who have helped get me on top of things, fill me in on where we need to fix things, and shoot ideas back and forth across all bows on how to fix and improve things. heart

Gey, Rip, Cella, Ains, and kookie are all staying on, as is Snow. (Read: all the good, beloved ones that were reliable, too). No idea on tomol or Sniper, but I'd take 'em back if they wanted. We're talking to everyone who stood up to Aps and walked out on her while praying I'd come back and evict Aps, getting applications from them regarding hiring: Roarie, Kallysto, Ice (who's been helping me a lot on familiars, thanks!), Hoshi and Veeg.
