Astra had never been an adventurous Fairy but when talk about some cave came to her ears she wanted to go and check it out and whilst her heart was telling her that it would be dangerous and she shouldn't go she didn't listen and instead went with what her head was saying and that was telling her to go if only to see what all the fuss was about and so she followed the others to the cave.

As she followed the others she soon realized that she should of stayed home, why did forests nearly always seem to be part of some adventure? Not that she wasn't expecting it in some form but she just didn't like the idea of forests so it would of been nicer if just once there wasn't a forest but since she had already decided to go she started making her way through making sure she wouldn't be left behind by the others.

Rarity had seen Sweetie Belle and Applebloom sneak off through the forest to find this cave everyone was making a fuss over. She hadn't wanted to go herself but the thought of her little sister out there all alone made her worry a bit and so, without telling Sweetie Belle, she had packed a few things and made the journey, following after them like a spy the good watchful parental figure she was. (Ha!)

After they had stopped at the cave she could only assume was the one in rumors, since everyone and their mother was here, she called out in a panted breath, finally slinging off the giant pack she had carried with her inflatable tent and other obvious necessities. "Sweetie Belle! Wait for me, I can't... let you go in there alone!" she cooed as she tried to catch up with them...while dragging her things. She had to keep them safe after all... didn't she? Never mind the possibility of finding an array of beautiful sparkling gems inside the cave....

Pelagious stared up at his attacker as if she had lost her mind. He was seriously starting to doubt wether she had one to begin with. It wasn't until she brandished her sword again that caution finally caught up to his brain and he slid away a few feet to stare at her in a mildly alarmed manner.

"My father?! What the hell does that have to do with burning my hair!!?? My father is bald. Like a damn shark, you batty woman." he snarled, attempting to locate his shovel. He seemed to have knocked it off course during his immediate awakening. Well sh*t he thought, eyeing the large tool with remorse.

Eyes turning back to his angry attacker, he scooted even further away and attempted to stand. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd rather like to go look see how much damage you've done to my gorgeous, silver locks." he said, not making any move to leave. He wasn't about to have her chop off any other important body parts.

"Bald like a shark? What's his name?" She growled, twisting her lighted blade near his head once more. He cared far too much about her hair. How the hell was this Cadassi's son? Oh Leitha was pissed. Beyond pissed.

The naiad growled for a moment, before noticing another noise off to the side of them. Amethyst eyes narrowed, turning in the direction of the rustling. There were others? This seemed to be a popular area of the woods today. She growled, starting to move towards Pelagious. No way she was letting this chance escape her.

"We're going." She growled, grabbing his arm, attempting to drag him towards the nearest water source.

Having split off on her own rather than pairing up like many of the Squires, Lailah had no talkative comrade near to distract her with words or the sound of motion. Her own movements were muted, so that she could keep track of noise from other sources instead. She had a vague idea of where the other Squires were relative to her position, so when she heard a new sound of someone traveling behind her, she tensed. Too many Pae; that wasn't a Squire.

Golden eyes narrowing, she circled back around swiftly, but silently and unseen, keeping a healthy distance from the target until she was sure she had turned the tables. Now, she was the one doing the stalking. The stranger appeared to be a Fae. Interesting. But why was she here? Following the Squires?

This being a reconnaissance mission, it seemed natural to question others in the area that might seem suspicious. And this Fae certainly seemed suspicious, following them all through the forest. Still using the shadows to her advantage, Lailah hurried to catch up, pulling up alongside the strange Fae before choosing her moment to emerge from the foliage. She did not yet draw her weapons, nor make any threatening gesture, but despite her smaller stature, she tried to take an imposing stance. Thinking fast, she wondered...perhaps she didn't know about the others? Perhaps she was only a fool following a stranger through the woods, not some grand schemer. Best not to draw more into matters when this was supposed to be a reconnaissance mission. She'd not mention the others in her interrogation until she was more sure of the situation.

"Who are you? And why are you following me?" Lailah asked tersely, eying the Fae with suspicion.

The color drained from Pelagious's face. This batty fish woman was going....kidnap him? He'd admit he'd had some fantasies about situations like this but never where the chick was trying to actually kidnap him. "I ain't going nowhere with you, you loon. What the h*ll makes you think I'd go with you?" he said right before she grabbed his arm and began dragging..

Pelagious squealed. Waving his other arm, he began screaming like a scared little girl. "But my bag! My shovel! I DON"T WANNA DIE!!!!" he ended with a sob.

Tamara winced as she rolled over. Tears were streaked down her face and she moaned with every movement. She was assessing her body injuries and her assessment was not good. She was pretty sure her ankle had been broken or darn near to broken. It was already turning dark purple, which was not a pretty color compared to her already brownish, green skin. It made it an ugly black color. Adding swellin gon top of that just was not a good sign.

Her other injuries were minor. Or at least she considered them minor considering her current walking problem. She was pretty sure she had sprained one of her wing muscles and she was bruised like no other. combined with the scratches and scrapes from falling through the tree canopy and she looked like she'd been fighting a war. Now if only she could findsomeone to help her.

Hearing rustling through the weeds around her, she put on a brave face and attempted to do the most sane thing. "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!" she shouted.

Lots of noise caught the dark teenager's attention. "Someone's nearby," she said quietly to Earthmother. "You should go while you have the chance. Ela and I can handle things here."

Earthmother's senses were far better than the teen Fae. She heard it, and had sensed so many souls approaching. Her chance to flee was gone. Not only that, but she sensed she'd be needed here. So much for keeping her involvement a secret. But why were so many Pae'il suddenly advancing on this location. It didn't make sense. Unless...

"Thara, I think the cave's location may have been discovered by our adversaries. I sense many approaching. Do what you can to mask the cave entrance and ward off intruders. I will try to call for backup. We can't let on that this location is important." She turned, pulling her hood from head and revealing a youthful faun face that denied her true age. Not far, she noticed three Blood Pae. She stayed silent and moved quietly, keeping her eyes on them. She whispered to her Mellon companion and he zipped off towards the Great Tree. He carried a message for her son, the chief, and his Circle. She held off on sending out a call for now, not wanting to drag innocents in on this if the adversary was approaching.

Turning to the two strangers, she smiles. "Lovely day, gentleman. Out for a stroll?" She wanted to find out why they were there, but had to play it cool. It did not escape her attention that some of their new fauny allies were nearby, but Earthmother was confident they'd be alright for now. But she'd need to find a way to get the younger ones to safety should opposition show up.

Thara did as she was instructed and put her hands up on the magical barrier sealing the cave. She closed her eyes and concentrated. Noise everywhere was distracting her, but she put all her focus and energy into ensuring the barrier emitted that awful despair feeling to make Pae not want to come this way. It was her best chance at defense.

Being that most of the Queen's court was either missing or "indisposed" at the moment, Itsaso had seen fit to accompany Serefina on her mapmaking/search expedition. It was dangerous, this far inland, even though they were still protected by the water. Serefina might not have the best of camouflage, being colored like fire as she was, but Itsaso blends in perfectly.

Of course, if they had to leave the Falls, it wouldn't be worth much. Her mottled blue and white would give her away immediately in the forest, but at least she knew how to fight, even on land.

"You stay here," Itsaso says to Serefina. "I'll go up for a bit of a look." She darts up to the surface and pokes her head above water. Sea-green eyes flick back and forth, counting Pae. There were several running around, more than should theoretically be in a random forested area at one time. Something must be going on. She sees both winged and hooved Pae. Itsaso doesn't trust anyone except her own kind, so they all might as well be enemies. She drops back down to report to her comrade.

"There are too many to fight. We should stay below the surface. If they spot us down here and come to us, we'll have the advantage."

Coronus had been walking for a while silently before sighing to her self. "I thought it was just past those trees like it was in universe 32 but it seems to have been farther than that here."

"You know you could jump universe and try a different one, a similar thing would happen there as it will happen here." said her mellon

Coronus shook her head. "No I got to be here in this universe. My home universe..." It was weird but did she just see a light in the forest. She ran to see what it was she ran to keep up with the light and then she saw her the white princess who had her back to her.

"HI CELESTIA." she said with a grin

User Image Nyx was confused she had just left her little baby at home with Amun Ra an uncle when her mother had appeared out of thin air telling her to head twoards a cave. Her mother did not really tell her much about what was going to happen only that she needed to be there and to keep thinking happy thoughts and to bring some suplies in case something happens. For some odd reason when ever her mother was in a good mood it worried here.

"Sigh if I do not go then I am never going to find out what happened." She walked though the forest wondering what was so special about a certain cave when she saw a red haired faery.

"Hello there heading to the cave also?" Nyx said as she ran to catch up with the red haired fairy

Leitha growled, jerking his arm hard. "Shut up Spawn." And then she stepped on something. Well this just wasn't her day. Cursing under her breath, Leitha looked down to see what she'd hit.

It was a pae. A weird one.. Was it a faery? No, it couldn't be, this thing had leaves on its back. And it was moaning. No no, this was a female. She couldn't deny at least that. What was the female doing on the ground, whining for? Leitha sighed, shoving the spawn at the downed... Thing.

"Pick her up." Leitha had been so furious she hadn't heard the scream for help. She didn't really care. "Pick her up or I finish frying those silver locks of yours." The naiad turned around, going after his bag. Sure, she was an insane pae, but she did have her moments of kindness. Mostly, she just wanted to grab that stupid shovel and beat the spawn and her boyfriend over the head with it.

"Don't even think about running away Spawn." She spat, disappearing for just a moment.

"Can you stop ogling before someone notices us? That'll be an embarrassment."

"I'm not hurting anyone. Besides, stopping would require movement. It's shady here."

Mikasi was kidding him, right? Ignatius was convinced his nymph fellow had to be making some kind of horrendous joke. They were out here to find Criofan's gold--wherever the hell it was. He thought he had mapped it out right, too, but it was rather apparent now that he hadn't. The two people in front of him were very obviously not guards and they probably shouldn't just be staring-- what was that noise? Ignatius blinked, looking over his shoulder for a moment.

Just as Mikasi jumped and gave a rather loud hiss of displeasure, moving away from where the demon behind him had just shown up from. For all of his easy surprise, though, he seemed to be fairly nimble on his feet, stabilizing himself as smoothly as he had become unstable. Ignoring the rather loud noise he just made, Mikasi narrowed his eyes at the demon, grunting a, "People. Is that alright with you? The hell you doin' here, anyway?"

Of course, he was ignoring that the question would probably be just as valid to ask them.

Before Kane could think of shooting that question back, though, Ignatius decided to speak up, pointing to the gruffly addressed "people" that Mikasi had decided to refer to. "We were looking for something Crio left in the general area," Mikasi shot a glare over his shoulder at Ignatius for that, before turning back towards Kane, staring him down, "when Mikasi here saw the fae and faunness up there."

Said faunness that was walking towards them.

"And now she saw us. See, I told you ogling was a stupid idea."

Being told that the faunness was indeed coming over seemed to be enough to break Mikasi's death glare from the oddly similar looking man in front of him, sky blues darting over to the direction where the faunness came from instead. Not particularly concerned he had been spotted, he straightened himself out, attempting to put his best not disdainful face on. This seemed to take a little bit of effort, perhaps not as obviously smooth as his father could be, but it managed well enough, especially when he replied with a cool, casual, "Hello m'lady."

Ignatius groaned. "Good grief..."

"I was, actually. A rather lovely day. But when I saw you and your friend talking, I found a much better scene. You manage to brighten up even such a dank area as a cave." Telrunya, he was laying it on thick. "Why would such a lovely lady as yourself find yourself out here?"

"Can I apologize for him?" Ignatius decided it was time to speak up, preferrably before this woman decided to whack Mikasi over the head. Ignatius knew he would have, by now. Without waiting for a response, Ignatius continued, "I apologize for him. We were looking for some gold. I overheard there might be some near from one of my relatives." The more he said it, the stupider he felt he sounded. Ah well. At least he wasn't flirting with the poor faunness. "I think I took a wrong turn somewhere, though."

"No s**t."

Ignatius kept his face relatively steady, despite biting down on his lip slightly in some attempt to conceal his annoyance. "I've never been out this way, but it's very nice. Rather peaceful."

With these two's behavior, they were ... rather clearly not the threat Earthmother was looking for. They were fairly young, still, but they seemed rather polite or just ... bluntly honest.

While Ignatius was trying to explain their presence--and totally ruin Mikasi's attempts to flirt with the rather pretty faunness in the process, of course--Mikasi rubbed at his ears. What was that noise? This forest was huge, did someone seriously think they would accomplish anything by making massive amounts of noise?

Tamara was excited the other until the small naiad stepped on her. Holding back a small scream of pain as she landed directly on her injured leg, she turned to glare at the naiad when she suddenly had the other pae thrown on top of her.

Pelagious wasn't faring any better. He was currently balling his eyes out. He was scared. And weaponless. The naiad had dragged him off in a direction where his freshly laid pipes conviently weren't. He was going to die. Suddenly, the naiad threw him. Listening to her snarly commands, he couldn't believe his luck. She was gonna leave them alone. What was he saying. The crazy woman was gonna leave and he was gonna run like hell. The broken fairy was on her own with that crazy b*tch.

Tamara couldn't believe her luck. First she was found by someone who's mental capabilities she was seriously doubting, and now, the person who was supposed to carry her and help her out of this nightmare was attempting to flee. "Where are you going? Are you not supposed to pick me up, as the strange woman demanded?" she snapped, her patience waning as her pain tolerance was running out.

Pelagious paused while trying to escape through the bushes. Turning back to the injured, green winged thingy, he apologized. "I'm escaping. Just in case you hadn't noticed, that fish woman is crazy. LOOK WHAT SHE DID TO MY HAIR!!!" he shouted, bending over to show her.

Tamara stared at the strange male. His hair? What in the world did that have to do with anything? Were his mental capacities damaged as well? Her head falling into her hands, she mourned her lack of a decent rescue. She had been found by two raving lunatics. Turning back to the psychotic blue nymph, she got an idea. Maybe she could stall him until the other crazy pae came back. She seemed to be in charge....

Pelagious stared at the green winged thingy. "What do you mean you can't see the damage?!? She nearly cut it in half?!" he asked, scooting closer. He bent over, this time nearly touching his forehead to his knees. "Right there. It's all burned and singed and horribly ruined. My hairstyle will suffer greatly!!

"I'm sorry, I just can't see it. Perhaps you should come over closer. where there is light?" she asked, trying to keep her tone innocent. She had never played a trick like this and was hoping she could pull it off. She nearly grinned as the blue pae crept closer, still harping about his hair. she waited patiently until he was within range and then she struck.

Pelagious shrieked as she grabbed a hold of his hair and gave it a mighty wrench.

"Pick me up or you'll have a lot more to worry about than a small singed spot." she snarled. Desperate times called for desperate measures.

Leitha had managed to return before the vain one finished his whining about his hair. She was snickering. He was so like his father. And then she did have to be proud of the thing.. She was acting admirably by Leitha's standards. Granted, they weren't the best construed ideas, but they were definitely her standards.

"Now now Children." She grinned, poking the blunt end of Pleagious' shovel into his back. "Pick her up Spawn. Strange Thing, Cooperate. There are some answers to be had, and you two will provide them or neither of you gets out unharmed." Leitha's voice turned to a growl with her words, on the verge of pulling forth her weapon for the extra omph of warning.

The story Takeko went into started out cheerful enough. Kane and Vika, Saffron and ... Aster. His other son, Texas knew that much. It was good to know that Saffron and Aster were doing okay, even if Saffron insisted on avoiding him at every possible turn. It was okay. Texas could understand where he might not have necessarily been wanted, or where he far overstepped his bounds, but he wished they could at least talk out what happened, or maybe Texas could get to talk to his son a bit...

Irrelevant, this wasn't about him.

Takeko sounded a bit worried about Melek, and Texas moved closer as if offering him own presence as an attempt to comfort, listening to what she said. She must have been thinking of something, with the way her expression was falling, and her steps were slowing. Was it just Melek? Texas didn't necessarily mean to pry, but he certainly was curious, wondering what was bothering the woman he considered his friend. Was there anyone she had neglected to mention altogether?

...

Aspen.

Her mate and her daughter, the one daughter Texas could recall her having. Aspen and ... Mei Lien, was it? He felt a bit ashamed for not knowing her name by heart, but then, perhaps that told just how missing they were. Takeko had never mentioned Mei Lien particularly often, and Aspen seemed to be a silent stability in her life, someone who was always there without question and without worry. Why would he and his entire family ... vanish?

The timing of it was definitely something of a concern, especially, if Aspen and Mei Lien had found somewhere else to stay during the Storm. Had they been with the other members of Aspen's family? If they were all in one location, it might explain why they had all disappeared as one, too. Had their house become destroyed in the Storm? Were they swept away? Were they buried? All morbid thoughts, really, but considering the situation, Texas couldn't stop them from swirling through his head, attempting to analyze what exactly could have happened, and, more importantly, what did.

But while his thoughts were spinning in circles, he could not just leave Takeko there. As much as she was trying to stop it, her eyes seemed to be welling up, and understandably so. Texas had no idea how he would act if any one of his sons went missing, or his brothers-in-spirit, or even any potential mates he might have had. That was, perhaps, how he ended up turning towards her and gathering her up in a hug instead.

Talking to Saffron was something that wasn't easy when it came to anything, Texas mentally noted.

"It's a hard topic to broach," murmured Texas, softly, not speaking too loud. "I can't tell you it'll be easy no matter what angle you take with it, and with Saffron's ways, he's not terribly likely to take well to it," or listen, "no matter how you put it." He didn't have to say that there was no real way to take news like that well. It was implied.

"The best you can probably do is be honest. Sit him down, get him to actually stay down," indeed, the challenge, "and tell him frankly what had happened. Pain shared is pain halved." And while he wouldn't make any false promises that with more people knowing, there was more chance of someone eventually finding their closure, it was certainly a key, too.

"I wish I had the magical answer that would bring them back. I really do. The Storm... caused more damage around the Isle than I care to think about, most days." He rubbed her back. "And I'm not going to give you falsities and say they're certainly okay, but I will say, if they can be found, they will turn up.

"I promise you that."

Even if it wasn't the way she wanted them to be.

The hiss was amusing, but moreso the response that followed. It was like looking at a reflection in the lake. Cripes, had he really been such a little punk when he was younger? A moment's reflection said...yeah, probably. Seemed like such a long time ago too. Heck of a viewpoint you got from the outside...

Kane hid his amusement, simply raising an eyebrow at the question and responding, "Depends. And if it's not alright, then what?" How much spunk did the kid really have, he wondered? That question would have to wait though, as the odd cloaked figure had removed her head covering and drawn nearer. A Faun; figured by the earthy scent of soil and green wood, Kane thought. He held back, letting the youngsters answer, though he soon regretted his earlier comparison of his younger self to his son.

Nevermind, he hadn't been like that at all.

That must come from Magnus.

Paying more attention to the other boy now, he noted the familiar mixture of scents and nodded to himself. He thought so. Muttering quietly under his breath as he rubbed his head, he mumbled, "Figures, Tex gets the normal ones..."

Okay, more importantly, where had the Faun woman come from anyway? He glanced around, not noticing anything out of the ordinary, nor any reason to be standing about in such warm weather wearing a cloak. Well, he thought it was warm anyway. And yet...there was a feeling growing at the base of his skull. That feeling when something wasn't right, when your instincts told you that something was wrong, something...'bad' waited just around the corner. It was unnerving Kane...which said something. His posture had tensed, and he watched the Faun woman carefully. Was it her? No...not her. Something else, further ahead. Something that caused the hairs on the back of his neck to stand on end, and his stomach to feel like it had just swallowed his heart...

Growling softly, the demon's stance shifted defensively, and he prepared to...

"Oy! Kane! Not funny! Where the heck did you g--" The dappled grey Faun broke through the trees and froze mid-sentence at the sight. He'd have found amusement in the scene regarding the estranged father and son's growling and hissing, except his eyes were locked on the female Faun in disbelief. "...Earthmother?"

His growls stopping instantly, Kane shook his head and then raised an eyebrow at Faroth. "You know this woman?"

About that time, the faint, but high-pitched resonance of a scream reached his ear, putting him on alert again. "What the hell was that?" he growled, head snapping towards the sound. He noticed out of the corner of his eye that the boy had reacted as well to the noise. Well, maybe he wasn't completely hopeless then...
