I am in love with Poe. I did an indepth study of him a year or two ago and he is quiet facinating. One thing that made me really happy when I clicked on this topic was that everybody's post didn't resemble this:
OMG!!!1111 I LiKe So freakin' love Poe!!!!111 He is like so freakin' smexi(this thought alone creeps me out). My fav r like The Raven, birds r so kewl!!!!111
Yeah...you go to the writting forum and that's what you get if you bring up Poe. Anyway, my favorite stories are Ms. Found in a Bottle and The Premature Burial. My favorite poems are An Enigma and Israfel.
I also love The Murders in the Rue Morgue, The Imp of Preserve, The Masque of the Red Death, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, Anabelle Lee, Lenore, and Dream-Land.(I hope I spelled everything right. I can't find my book with all of them.)

I love Poe's work. My favorite piece of his would have to be The Angel of the Odd.

I actually do like Poe.
Very great work, amazing to read.
Creates a very nice feeling after every time you read his work too.
But I would have to say,
My heart goes to H. P. Lovecraft

Ms. Chaos I read his biography last year. He had a pretty interesting life, and he died mysteriously which makes me wonder.... I enjoy his poetry and short stories, make me happy xp same here.His life was a little sad.And dying mysteriously?I wonder what he died of??? And his poems are awesome!

I have this book of his short stories and poems that I really should get to reading. I read The Raven back when I was like eight because the woman had the same book I have now, but over several moves hers has become lost.If I remember (I'm too lazy to look) I like a poem called To Helen.

He is an okay writer. The glass was always half empty to him. Such a gloomy man. One of the few good aspects in his writing.

I've read alot of his work. My favorite poem is Anabell Lee and my favorite short story is probably ' The Imp Of The Perverse'.

I'm new to the brillience of Poe (I'm only 13... so thats my excuse.) I was first intorduced ot his work in Language Arts class when we were doing a section about 'ghost stories' and foklore. I only heard two of his peices ('The Raven' and the name slips me at the moment, but its the one about the guy who hid the body under the floorboards and went all paranoid about it), but I plan to read more. ^-^
