Aimee looked towards the horizon and sighed, not wanting him to go. Soon after she looked at her new found friend and nodded, letting go of his hand and jumping down to the ground below. Once she landed she looked up to the boy, helping him down as well. "I understand. I'll see you tomorrow then." The girl smiled reassuringly and hugged her friend tightly, closing her eyes as she did. A couple of seconds past and she let go, looking straight into his eyes. "I promise." She squeezed his hand once before letting go and turning to go home herself. The little girl put her hands in her pocket, kicking the rocks as she walked and thought. Some how she felt like this day was incomplete, as if something was missing. Brushing off the feeling, she looked back and smiled one last time before taking off towards her house.

After Roulin touched the ground, sighing from having to jump from the branch, he looked up at the girl forcing a grin for the moment's sake. He brushed himself off, removed a leaf from his bushy hair then found himself being embraced by the little red haired girl. He couldn't lift his arms to correctly hug her back, but his hands went to her sides which he patted all the while she held him. Still in her arms, he said to her, his eyes half open staring down her back to the ground, "Yeah, tomorrow..." He was released soon thereafter save for his hand Aimee held as she promised him her presence in the coming day. Roulin simply smiled and his lavender eyes twinkled with hope as she walked away. Placing his hands in his pockets, he turned and did the same not worrying about the bike he'd left in the rack at the restaurant...

Next Day - 2:30 pm
Aimee packed up her school bag as the bell rang, her mind in a daze. She had come home last night without the bikes and her father was mad that she was so careless. She had to find the bikes today or be grounded, which wasn't her intention. As the red head stood, she looked next to her where her friend sat. "I need to find my bikes we left yesterday. If not my dad will be very mad at me. Will you help me?" The little girl pleaded with Roulin, her eyes worried about the consequences that would befall her if she didn't try.

Roulin yawned throughout bell's loud, shrill ringing drowning out the sound with his own. He didn't receive much sleep the night before as he stayed up most of the night speaking with his elder brother about Aimee and how they'd promised never to disappear. Most of the conversation was one sided as his elder Lomoli dozed in and out of it. After dropping his pencil into his bookbag, he looked over to the little girl with half opened eyes and yawned again. "Yeah, I don't mind Aimee. And I probably should've thought about that before we left." He stood, waving to a few acquaintances and stood next to the little french girl awaiting her lead.

Aimee nodded and walked towards the door out of the classroom that lead to the long, crowded hall. Walking down the hall, the little red head took note of the the kid's peers staring at them both. She didn't care, mostly because she had Roulin by her side and he didn't seem effected by it. As soon as they walked out of the school's hallways, Aimee sighed and looked at her new friend, noticing he was tired. "You slept through most of the lessons. Are you okay? Did you not get any sleep?" The little girl touched her new friend's shoulder, keeping him close. As they walked down the sidewalk, the girl watched as the leaves fell and the wind became violent. The girl shivered, bundling up. "Man this weather is annoying."

Roulin found himself bouncing off of the passing kids and the lockers drowsily as his body seemed to just flow against constantly changing streams like water. His purple eyes stared through half-opened lids and blurred vision didn't supplement the situation in anyway. Aimee's voice echoed towards him over the loud noises of the elementary school. Her inquiries came across as garbled...mushy and indecipherable words to his tired aching mind. What managed to seep through the barrier of pent-up fatigue called Roulin's gaze to her. "Hm?" began the young Owl as together he and Aimee exited the school, "Oh, no I got sleep. Every time I blinked was a good second...for me...." The small Italian had to yawn and he bowed for his rudeness afterwards. The cold air that was now brushing over him only bolstered his desire to drop there and nap for maybe an hour or two. Before he could he had some bikes to return. "The weather is....fine. Do you want my scarf?"

Aimee stopped and took Roulin's arm, looking at him in the eyes. "You aren't all here. If we go out there with you like this now, you'll fall asleep and I can't pick you up." The girl's tone was worried, breaking in the middle almost with a small whimper. She couldn't watch over the sleeping Roulin, knowing that she couldn't do anything to keep him safe. The young one walked with the raven haired boy in hand, keeping him close as they neared the shops. As she turned to say no to Roulin, she saw a man behind them, staring at them and then walking away. Aimee watched as he walked away, shaking it off. The two neared the store and the red head's heart dropped, making her almost cry. "No!" She ran to the bike rack where the bikes were last scene, the only thing left was the lock she had used to tie them both up. "My bikes... my dad is going to murder me..."

"I am all here! Honest! I might just need to sit down at some point though..." Once more, Roulin found himself yawning and bowed slowly and tiredly to apologize for his rudeness. Now that he was outside with the winter sun shining brightly, yet coldly down upon them, he opened his eyes slightly. He was partly awakened now thanks to the cold air biting at his uncovered hands. The Italian was pulling at his scarf when Aimee turned to look at him, then turned more to glance at something she apparently found out of the ordinary. He payed it no mind. When she cried out in disbelief, Roulin took it as a fervent rejection of the dark brown wool covering his neck. He even jumped somewhat at her shrill cry. "Geez Aimee! You don't have to be mean ab--oh. The bikes are missing..." The french girl had been long left his grasp so she didn't hear him. Slowly, he approached her and sighed knowing deep down he could've averted this. Patting her back, he began to think of something to cheer the girl up.

Aimee felt Roulin's hand on her back, making her close her eyes as she clenched her fists. The little girl wanted to run away and go cry, but she knew if she did, Roulin would disappear. Breathing out slowly, the red head turned and began to walk to the park, her hair swaying back and forth. Trying to stay calm and to devise a plan, she kept her eyes on the concrete. Just as she enter the grass and walked up to the tree, the girl let out her tears, hiding her face against the trunk of the tree. She felt desperate, wanting to find the bikes. She had never done anything wrong ever, making this devastating for the poor girl. Aimee rubbed her eyes, sniffling as she calmed herself down and plopped herself on the grass with a heavy sigh.

After Aimee slipped from his hand, Roulin scratched his head in confusion as his eyes narrowed with a certain concern. This was a side of her that he'd never dealt with from any of his friends. They never remained around long enough for this part of them to show. His demeanor and his very ways, he knew, would be enough to help the little lady if he could just get her to listen to him. The task may have been easier said then done and even the little boy realized this when he asked himself, "I wonder if all girls are like this..."
He caught up to her immediately taking notice of her mood. Oddly, he could feel a strong sense of doubt and fear emanating from the girl. Furthermore, her emotions brought a tingling sensation to his skin that he could only surmise as a side effect of being in the cold to long. Ignoring the tingling turned prickling feeling, he helped the girl to her feet and patted the broken leaves and grass from her. Holding the Aimee's hand, Roulin said to her, his tone dragging in a fatigued manner, "Listen. Aimee. I'll help you look for the bikes okay? It'll be...an adventure. Kinda. Whaddya say hm?"

Aimee rubbed her eyes, listening to her friend's proposition. Looking now through red eyes, she nodded and weakly smiled. "Okay, but where do we start?" The uncertainty of ever finding the bikes was very big, looming over her just as the fear of what her father would do to her. Just as the fear kicked in, she saw the man again, standing across the street and staring at the kids. "Hey turn and look at the man." Aimee whispered, shivering not from the cold, but from the thought that this man was following them. Right when the red head turned her friend around, a truck drove by and the man was gone. This immediately baffled the little girl, making her scratch her head and open her mouth slightly. Shrugging it off as a tired imagination, she looked round. "Should we go look for clues back at the bike rack?"

Roulin's hand fell from the girl's shoulder as she stood up. The young man was still very tired. Very tired indeed, but he knew now he had an obligation to fulfill and an adventure to embark on. A time one unfortunately. Giving thought to the matter, he realized that find the bikes might be...tougher than he'd liked it to be. The task would be strenuous, but Roulin figured he could manage with some help. He chose not to answer the first question. He had no idea how to start besides just asking around. Before he could start doing so, Aimee had turned him to look at a...passing truck? Turning just his eyes to the little red head, he said calmly, "There's no one there silly...anyway, c'mon. We're losing sunlight here. We should ask the store owner if they saw anyone riding bikes besides us yesterday."

Aimee looked at Roulin when he said it was just a passing truck, making her wonder about her imagination. Sighing afterwords, she listened to his proposition, nodding and smiling. "Alright. Sooner the better, you are probably going to fall asleep on me any time now." Aimee took his hand, walking slowly towards the shop. She didn't want to drag him anywhere in fear of him falling and not being able to get him back up. She couldn't help but wonder who the man was, or if there was even a man at all. She kept asking herself why he would be watching them of all people, maybe it had to do with their powers or just themselves.

"I'll--I'll try not to. Let's just hurry and find these things so I can take a nap." The young raven haired Italian tiredly sighed once again and was then pulled along by Aimee to the little shop they'd stopped to eat at yesterday. Eyes half open, he looked around noticing that it was empty save for a few people sitting in the back. It was an elderly couple who probably planned to be here on such a nice, chilly day. "This place is always something on Thursday. People everywhere..." said the boy sarcastically. His seemingly intoxicated glare hid well his searching mind. Looking over to the counter now, he nudged Aimee to ask the man if he'd seen any bikes around.

Aimee was pushed by Roulin to the counter to talk to the adults, blushing as she looked back at her friend and thn back at the people who were now staring at her. The little girl gripped the edge of her jacket, fiddling with it as she talked nervously. "Um... D-Did you see someone on two bikes yesterday? M-My bikes were s-stolen...." Aimee looked down a little as the adults talked amongst themselves. Afterwords they shook their heads no, making the girl's heart drop through the floor. "Oh... Okay thank you." The red head turned around, a sad sigh being released from her thin lips as she did. Looking at Roulin with red eyes, she walked out of the door, hands over her face to keep her new friend from seeing her from crying. "Now what... Have anymore bright ideas?"
