Vampfighter1 I'm gonna lower the damage to 1d8, but make it fire damage. It'll be a gun of his making, called the Firebird. Works for me ^^ I am guessing you work in the R&D?

Are you still interested in another player? Because I am intrigued by your concept. May be a couple days before I get a chance to put a character together, if that's okay.
Also, what would be the Church's take on bards? Technically arcane, but the right spell selection could get it written off as "sleight of hand" and "technical tricks." I also know someone who made a pretty decent healer out of a bard.... smile

As long as your Bard is careful they have nothing to look for. But if you slip.... hehehe
