Quick question. Can a character acquire a dragonmark feat later, or is it mandatory that they acquire it during character creation?

If they are part of a Dragonmarked Family, then it's required that they have it during creation. However, Dragonmarks can be aquired later. They usually develop during "stress induced times". However, I do not allow retraining of a Dragonmark, so consider carefully before deciding whether or not it's a commitment you're willing to take in the story and mechanically.
Also, for everyone else here, I'm allowing Paragon Dragonmarked Calsses and a Epic Destiny for Dragonmarks. (Found in Dragon 38 cool The Heir Of Siberys

I understood that dragonmarked houses were mostly composed of unmarked family members and tradesmen. Wirrin's backstory says that she's the only 'mark within her immediate family.

You know what I mean Arc. Like being part of a Dragonmarked Bloodline, or relative to a prominent member of the House. Wirrin is a good example of a Dragonmarked Bloodline.

It's from Dragon Magazine 366, it says:
"The circumstances of your birth were somehow blessed, and you grew up knowing you were somehow set apart and special."
