He nodded " That would be for the best...familiars have a great amount of knowledge and can help you when it comes to certain events." he said " If you do look for it you'll have to look for certain signs...you'll always have a feeling of friendship when close to it and when yuor in danger it might help you out without showing itself." he said " It might hide in a special object of yours but since yuor a witch I'm not sure what it will be like when you meet yuor familiar." he said and smiled as the bird flew pretty fast. He didn't really notice her arms around him as he was just focused on getting there. After a short moment of flying the bird slowed over their homes and landed becoming still again. Elkand stepped off the bird and helped her down and held up his staff as the bird began to sink back into the ground. He looked at his home and crossed his arms as he looked at his home. He sighed " No I didn't mean that one....damnable stone its so unreliable!" he said and shook his head " Oh well....it can only do it once a week." he said.

Larkanna nodded again, now wondering how in the world she was going to find hers if they really were that hard to find. You'll find a way or make one if that doesn't work. Gazing around at this 'estate' of sorts, she laughed at his comment about his stone familiar, "'Tis a wonderful place, much more grand than my own, though I do prefer places that are plain and less likely targets for the chruchmen to come wandering around looking for a spare coin or two." Brushing some of crimson colored hair behind her ear, she continued to ignore the dimming glow of her necklace. "Though there must be plenty of room for books."

He sighed " Thats the thing....this is my other home when I need to get away form the nonsense of my own community." he said and looked at her " Churchmen stay away from my home as my other two familiars are in fact creatures of hell .' he said. He looked at her and smirked " Plenty of room for books...walk with me Raven." he said and went to the door. He was about to open it before before he could a large demon opened the door. It stepped aside letting them both in remaining silent and nodding respectfully to them both. Elkand looked at her " That is another familiar by the name of Amon.." he said and started to walk up the stairs making sure she was following until he came to a black and red door. He opened it and walked inside shutting the door behind them and was in a very large room filled with endless shelves of books. He looked at her " Here is my library...took me forever to find these books...and I had to enchant this room to make it endless...took a lot of energy out of me that day..I was asleep for three days beacuse of it". he said.

Larkanna followed him into the house, nodding in thanks towards one of his demon familiars. She'd seen pictures of demons within books, but this was the first that she'd ever actaully seen in real life. "A much more handsome fellow than the ones my books decribe." She said thoughtfully as she entered the library.
"I never thought of using a spell like that... but I don't think I'd be able to use a spell like that now. I guess I'll have to continue dealing with my entire house dedicated to my research." She walked over to the nearest shelf and gazed at its contents with interest. "You're missing several volumes from this set... I believe I have the fourth and seventh one in my collection."

He looked at her " Oh so you had those volumes...no wonder I couldn't find them.' he said and sighed " I'm afraid other than those two the last two volumes I would be were...lost." he said " My niece is quite the forgetful little imp so when my maid let her in here my daughter took a book and an hour later she slot them." he said rubbing the back of his head. He walked over to her and shrugged looking at all of his books " I'm not particularly worried about that series of books as it no longer pertains to my type of skills....you can take them if you wish...they are for witches anyway." it was rather amazing that they were even talking in such a friendly manner.

Larkanna listened to his words, her ever burning curiosity being perked yet again. "You have a daughter?" Usually witches and wizards shared one thing in common, they were solitary and rarely had families or even wanted one. Taking the first book from the shelf, she opened it and read the first several pages before she put it back, "They seem to be more advanced spell books, for those that are stronger in the elemental spells than others. I, unfortunately, am only strong in two of the four Elements."

He looked at her " Me?" he said " Well not exactly...I uh adopted her a little while ago to keep her out of the hands of a madman." he said " She lives with my mother and father so I don't really see her much." he said " Wish my niece had watched her so she didn't lose it." he continued to look around and back at her " I see..so you shared the same plight...I was only strong in fire and wind." he said and picked up a book on black magic a type of magic forbidden to all witches and wizards by the council of magic. He looked over at her " In which elements did yuor strength lie?" he asked her.

Larkanna nodded in understanding, "So I suppose she's more of a sibling or neice of sorts than child." She continued to wander through the shelves, looking at his collection of books, many of which he had copies of or even rarer finds. When he mentioned the elements he was strongest in, she stopped and looked a him, "A good combination." She rarely used her powers over the elements, for it was a rare sight for a witch to stray too far awy from the path of potions and charms. "Fire and Earth, neither of which I use unless I'm in a tight spot."

He shook his head and remained quiet not wanting to respond to her statement. She was wrong about that..he actually cared for the little girl and if he had a chance he would have kept her close but he had no choice. He looked at her " I suppose....combining magic is often a little tricky." He closed the book and put it back on the self. He looked at her " That is also a good combination." he said " Though I do sort of find it odd for a witch to have two specific elements and sometimes their spells contain them all." he said " You don't seem to be much into potions and charms I must add."

"I strive to be a witch that won't blend in with the others." She replied somewhat quietly. No one else had cared to notice that little detail that she possessed. "Sitting around studying love potions and making charms cannot hold my attention for very long. I want to be more than just a witch... a selfish desire, perhaps, but one that may one day serve the magical community justice." Pushing crimson bangs away from her face, she turned away from him. "No witch or wizard would have gotten very far if they hadn't tried to accomplish more than what another had."

He chuckled a bit at what she said " Well...you aspire to be the best then Ms. Blackfeather.' he said " Now I feel sort of bad for all of this...you tried so hard for yuor status and Its half my fault your power was so reduced." he said " I myself have never had such a goal so I have no had to try....but speaking to you..no matter how much disdain I do feel still...I do have a certain level of respect for you....if I could help you out of this situation I would but I suppose we will have to wait until that opportunity hows itself." he said and sighed. He looked at her and yawned " I suppose I could do some research but it won't do us much good I liveable...I can try." he said " Now Ms.Blackfreather I am sure you do not wish to spend so much time in the home of your enemy." he said and walked over to the door " You can visit the library any time you wish I can have lillith move the library out of my home and to a place where you might feel comfortable tomorrow."

Larkanna turned towards him aagin, "'Tis not your fault at all! I was an idiot for trying to attempt a spell that I knew inwardly wouldn't work." Later, she knew that she wouldn't know what on earth had urged her to say the next few words that escaped her lips, "I've become an arrogant and ignorant fool." He was becoming more formal with her as the day went on and that was the last thing that she wanted at the moment. Before she had come, she hadn't wanted anything to do with him, but now that she looked at it, he was very much like her if not as accomplished as she'd become over the years. She continued to stand where she was, not moving. "I... I would like that very much. I also have books that you may also be interested in, they are the last copies of several ancient rune scrolls and even one tablet from Egypt. They were never of any use to me and are now laying about in my jungle of knowledge."

He looked at her a bit surprised by her words. He couldn't really find anything else to say about that as she continued to speak. He just stared at her and shook his head " Well...I must admit this is unexpected." he said and actually felt a bit uncomfortable now as he coughed " We were both overcome with arrogance so it has led up to this situation." he said and sighed " Whats done is done we just have to wait this all out." he said. This day was becoming stranger and stranger and they were becoming too familiar..he wondered if it was just something brought on by the mark. He sighed " Well I'm gonna go....I've got some runes to carve." he said " Practice makes perfect." he said and then noticed the glow of her necklace get a bit brighter and smiled before he walked out.

Larkanna wanted to say more, but enough had been said. Once he left, she leaned her back against the nearest shelf and slid down until she was sitting with her knees to her chest. He must think I'm some sort of twit now, big mouth. Her proud self said inwardly. Must be thinking, 'how in the world did she get to where she once stood'? Shaking the thoughts away, she closed her eyes, trying to ignore the glowing of the necklace.
But a voice coming from the necklace made her open her eyes, "You were conceited with yourself and so he helped you realize that; but now you're acting as if that's a bad thing. Why?" Larkanna pulled the necklace off and chucked it across the room with fear. "Oi! I've never done anything to deserve that!"
She stood and stared at it with wide eyes, her mind preparing a spell that would ignite the thing if it threatened her in any way, "Done nothing?! You've scared the living soul out of me!"
"Well, I guess you should have listened harder, otherwise I would have made myself known sooner. I am Wyrm--"
"You're a talking worm within my necklace?!" Larkanna began to chant quietly, but Wyrm quickly interfered.
"No, my name is Wyrm of Ancient Fire. I was once a dragon, but when I died, I attached my soul to this artifact in hopes of being able to one day come back to life of sorts."
Larkanna stopped chanting and walked over to the necklace. Picking it up and putting it around her neck hesitantly, she asked, "A familiar?" Wow, today is just filled with irony...
"Yes. I, as an ancient being, have thousands of forgotten spells within my spirit that I may teach you and that wizard also proves to be a worthy man."
Nodding, Larkanna walked out of the library and began to wander through the large mansion, wondering where in the world Elkand would 'practice'.

He was actually in the first room in a seemingly endless hall on the ground floor. He left the door open of course in case something went wrong. He was currently drawing symbols on stones and placing them in order. They seemed to create a picture with each of them connected and all of them had a slight green glow. He sighed and wrote down a few notes before he sat down in front of the stones and closed his eyes and started to meditate and focus what energy he could into them though she probably felt it as he did.
Suddenly a girl bumped into Larkanna dropping the drinks she had on her tray and braking the glasses. She sighed " Not again....this is the third time today." she said her voice very low as he started to twirl her finger and the glass started to come together and the liquid inside started to refill.
The girl looked up at Larkanna and stared for a moment " I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." she said " Oh! Would you be miss Blackfeather...I was just on my way to meet you." she said and handed her a glass. The liquid was green but it was pretty tasty. The girl looked at Raven " Are you looking for Elkand...I believe he's in the study." she said and motioned for her to follow.
