Viktor frowned and said, "That's a bit rude don't you think?"

"I'm sorry..." Katrina turned looked over at Viktor. "May I ask for your name?" She tilted her head to the side a little. She kept Rin in her arms, seeing him look around in an alert.

Link shrugged. "Fair enough. If you want, I can put you up at my house for the night." he said, hefting Epona's saddle off the fine sand and setting it on her back. A few minutes later, she was buckled and all set to ride. He turned back to the stranger. "Do you intend to stay here long?" he asked, his blue eyes intent on the stranger's face. "I have to get back to the ranch soon, but feel free to talk to the mayor." he added, and hoisted himself up onto Epona's back. With a brisk wave of his left hand, he clicked the mare into a trot and started back up the path to the village.

Rin stiffened up a bit. He sparked a few small flames from his mouth towards Viktor. He felt an urge to protect Katrena. After all, she did free him from the cage.

"I'm going to stay for a few days before setting out again." Rayne answered as he followed Link back on Epona. "If you don't mind that, then I'll take you up on your offer. By the way, the name's Rayne." He would have held his hand out, but the other guy was busy with a horse.

Link grinned down at Rayne. "A pleasure. I'm Link." As the pair neared the village, Link slowed Epona and fell back in step with Rayne. The rounded a bend, and Link's house came into view. "It's small, but I've got a spare room in the basement you are welcome to stay in for a few days." he said lightly, noticing some of the children pretending to attack his pumpkin scarecrow with imitation swords and spears. Link grinned, and hopped off Epona as Colin, a short, timid boy under a mop of blonde hair came running over.
"Link, my dad finished your sword! I even helped repaint the green and yellow!" he bounce eagerly, beaming from ear to ear until he noticed Rayne. He immediatly shut up, almost as if someone had slapped him. By then, the other children were trotting over and gathering around Link. "Beth, Talo, Malo, and Colin, this is Rayne. He'll be staying with me for a few days." Beth smiled brightly and batted her 10-year-old eyelashes, Talo grinned at his daggers, Malo inspected his clothing from afar, and Colin simply stared up at the slightly menacing figure.

Rayne caught one of the kids staring at his daggers and couldn't but to grin as well. He never really had a a chance to show off, but now, he was going to to get that stupid scarecrow. "Link, you go to the ranch and do whatever. I"ll stay with the kids."

Talo cheered and danced after Rayne, with a swooning Beth following close behind. "Are sure you want to stay here? These brats don't really know how to appreciate real talent..." she cooed, as Malo padded up next to her. "Be quiet, Beth. Hey mister. Can you show us some ool moves?" Talo nodded vigorously. Colin meanwhile, stayed behind as Link watched the three children eagerly swarm the newcomer. He preferred to keep the horse company, and Epona wasn't going to complain.
Meanwhile, Link retrieved his wooden sword from a trunk on the main floor of his home, grabbing a few apples on the way out. He shimmied back down the ladder and tossed one to Rayne with a grin. "If you get tired, just head all the way through the village up to the ranch to find me. You three behave, ok?" the children nodded, and Link walked back over to Colin and Epona. He swung himself up onto the saddle and took a large bite out of the crisp apple. "You too, Colin. No fighting!" he added with another beaming grin and a dash of sarcasm. In a moment, he was off towards the ranch.

((I don't mind her. I like her with Link due to the process of elimination. Zelda seemed kind of... heartless to me in TP, and it would be one heck of a long-distance relationship with Midna.))
Rayne caught the happy with one hand and quickly wolfed it down. The last time he ate was shortly before sundown last night. He was hungry, especially while he was on the run. Perhaps he wouldn't have to take anything from Ordon so long as Link kept him well fed. He didn't mind avoiding unnecessary drama. "Got it." Rayne mumbled.
Rayne bent his knees slightly, then tossed his daggers up in the air. He caught the spinning blades by the handles, spun them around his fingers, then threw them both into the pumpkin. Both of the blades traveled deep, then stopped at the hilt. "Still got it!:

{{really? i thought that zelda was fine, we just didn't really see all that much of her. i liked midna up until she broke the mirror. :I i thought that was a little weird. and ilia just seemed too....simple. and predictable. augh, long post is long again. }}
Ilia was sitting on her front steps counting the creamy petals on a daisy when Link trotted up on Epona. She stood up quickly, immediately giving him a beaming smile. "Ah, good morning, Link!" she greeted him, gathering up her armful of cut flowers. "Morning Ilia." he responded, and flashed her a grin. Just then, the mayor emerged from the double doors, and also greeted Link. Link smiled back. "Good morning to you too. We have a visitor today, he'll be staying with me for a few days." he informed him, taking another bite of apple. The mayor raised an eyebrow. "Hmmm? Is that so....?" "Is he a relative or a friend of yours, Link?" Ilia piped up, wriggling her bare toes in the dry earth. "Never met him before in my life. He was hiding in Ordon Spring this morning. He's at my house with the kids if you want to say hi." he offered, and Ilia trotted of. She always enjoyed meet new people, especially if they were fine with strange children.
The mayor watched her go off before turning back to Link. "So Rusl came and talked to me about you going to Hyrule in his stead. Has he talked to you about it?" he asked, and Link nodded. "He brought it up several days ago, and it sounds like it would be a good chance to see the proper kingdom." Link replied, mulling it over in his mind. The mayor nodded knowingly. "Indeed, Hyrule is a vast, beautiful kingdom. I think you should take him up on that offer. He is leaving the day after tomorrow." Link grinned from ear to ear. "Then its settled. I'm off to the ranch for the day, but I'll find Rusl when he gets back." With a click of his tongue, Link had Epona back to a trot and heading off towards the ranch.

Machiko got away from the angry shoptender and hid herself in another alley. 'Whew... That was really close...' She sat down and looked inside the bag, somewhat satisfied with what she had. 'Well, this could at least last for about three days...' Then she took out an apple from the bag and took a huge bite out of it.

((Never forgave Midna for taunting me in the beginning. D< But Zelda didn't feel like she really care for Link. I don't mind Zelda and Link together, so long as it's not TP Zelda... :/ She just bothered me.))
'Yeah? You wouldn't say that if your head was he pumpkin." Rayne muttered to Malo as he bent down to eye level anyway. "Aren't you a little young to speaking in sentences like that anyway?" Malo never responded, instead, his attentive glare was focused elsewhere.
"Hi Ilia!" They children greeted. Rayne looked up at Ilia, not sure what to say or do. He never really talked to a girl, or, at least that he could remember. Girls were just magnets becuase they usually had some gold-chained necklace with a precious stone hanging off their necks. Ilia had nothing of the sort. Rayne came to the conclusion that even if he was to steal something from Ordon, there wouldn't be anything to steal but Link's horse.

So this was it. The outside world, the real deal. For a good long time he had been cooped up in the Sacred Groove, only dimly aware of his surroundings. Now he was activated and about, a testament to the advanced magical prowess of Hylians long since deceased. It was remarkable he could function this well after such a long period of time. Modern scholars would say a construct such as him would be incapable of surviving so many years, but here he walked, none the less. After he had dispatched the invaders that prompted his activation, he had seen it fit to pick a random direction and start walking. He could not wait to see what the world was like outside the groove. The colors, smells, people...
"Everything...Looks exactly...The same..."
Staff in hand, the golem grunted and grumbled to himself as he moved through the woods, his heavy feet sending off loud thumps that sent nearby creatures skittering. He had been expecting a whole new world, not the same forested blandness he had spent the last Goddesses-Know-How long squatting in. Still, it was good to move through some unfamiliar territory for once.
The Golem continued his loud and fairly uncouth stroll to what appeared to be a spring. It was gated, though flung wide open. It also seemed to have been recently frequented by the looks of what appeared to be lots of displaced sand. Civilization? A village? Probably. Eidolon had not had a decent conversation in...Ever. Huh. Now would probably be a good time to gather up some speaking skills, provided whoever had used the spring prior to his arrival were not bandits or the like.
He continued onward after gazing into the Spring at his regular pace. Not a few moments had passed when he happened upon what looked to be a home built into a very large tree. There were a gaggle of children looking interestingly towards one fellow. The man was dressed in a blue tunic with hair long enough to bring his masculinity into question.
Eidolon observed them for a few moments and decided nothing interesting or useful could come of watching a man with abnormally long hair face off a pumpkin headed scarecrow for the sake of a handful of small children. A spectacle he could surely forgive himself for not witnessing first hand. He simply went on his way, walking past them and through another gate and into a passage that likely lead to a larger settlement.
