Micheal sighed. "before we joined the Hive, we were just street kids living on our own. All of us have no parents. My parents abused me, so I ran away. Amanda's parent were killed in a fire. Hatchet was a scientific experiment, so he didn't have any parents to start with. Andrea...we don't know what happened to her, she won't talk about it. Anyway, Andrea found us one by one and kind of, you know, took care of us. She rescued me from being beat up by a street gang. She found Amanda huddled at the bottom of a dumpster. And she rescued Hatchet from being chased by the police. She took us in and we kind of became a family."

"Oh.." Viral had listened respectfully to their story and was rather surprised to learn their histories. She had never really stopped to learn about other people and their lives.
She kept silent as she was thinking of this.
"You are all very lucky. Especially lucky to have each other". Her thoughts returned to a certain little sister she once had. The little sister she considered her family. She had a flashback as she continued running; of car horns, steel bars of a bridge. The image of violent waters a hundred or so feet below a pair of dangling feet. The feeling of a bare arm, heavy with the weight of a little girl's body. Screams.
The memory had been shut away for a number of years, and Viral suddenly felt vulnerable. Then angry.
The running calmed her down for the most part, and after a few more blocks they arrived to the end of the city.
The Hive tower stood idle not too far away.
"We're here" she announced, but the four would already have recognized the place without her telling them.

"good. We should get Andrea to the medical center, and then report back to Headmaster." Micheal said, kind of out of breath.
