Still got room for one more, or am I late as always?
I've never played D&D over a message board, but I think I'll manage.

The Fiend of the West Still got room for one more, or am I late as always? I've never played D&D over a message board, but I think I'll manage. You have until we enter the caverns. Our current party is a human (?) Barbarian, a gnome Wizard, and a (currently absentee) halfing Rogue, who is both a newbie and the party leader.

Alright.
I am either going to run a Human Healer or a Human Archery based Fighter.
I'll try to whip something together quick.

Fiend The Bunny rolled 18 6-sided dice:
5, 1, 5, 2, 5, 2, 2, 5, 1, 6, 1, 3, 6, 4, 3, 2, 5, 4
Total: 62 (18-108)

That could have gone better.

I'll give it go.

Yeah, I'm human. And a ditz. But that's not important, I guess.
GO FOR HEALER, WE DON'T HAVE ONE

Thhartokk Yeah, I'm human. And a ditz. But that's not important, I guess. GO FOR HEALER, WE DON'T HAVE ONE SCREW HEALING, YOU GET INFINITE FREE RES WITH MINIMAL LIMITS JUST NAKED 80% OF THE TIME But seriously, the kinds of things I'm putting into this dungeon make healing either absolutely necessary (because you'll be in a constant near-death health level) or completely wasted (because you'll screw up on saves often and keep reviving) until you hit level 5 or 6. It's like the average MMO level scale: Early levels are absolute Hell until you learn the right strategies to avoid stuff.

I'm probably gonna go healer and see what happens, and if it doesn't work i'll just become "Bad a**- The Crazy ******** Healer".
Who runs into melee and never heals anything.

I have no earthly clue what the "healer" class is. I thought you were going to do one of the "healing" archetypes, like Cleric or Paladin. Could you please provide a reference to an online copy of the Healer class text?

No problem.
Its in the miniatures handbook, so its often over looked.
I'll try to find an online right up or just scan my pages.

Please do. If you can't do that, please switch to an equivalent class found in PH, PH2, Frostburn, Sandstorm, Oriental Adventures, Ghostwalk, or Eberron. NOT Faerun.

Alrighty. If I don't find a decent write up for it in a few I'll just make a Paladin.

Update: Fai has decided to opt out of this campaign for IRL reasons. As such, party leadership defaults to either a) the person who wants it the most or b) the most powerful non-squishy. Or, given the nature of the campaign, possibly c) the person most hilariously unsuited for the role.
