Kari looked at the car, her cheeks still pink when she slide herself in. She had to admit it was a bit akward, introductions weren't her best quality, and she'd never seen anyone long enough to interact with them for a while. She turned her head out the window and stared out, too embarrassed to do anything else.
Riza gave her a nod and pulled the car slowly, "I would be prepared Ed, Mustang is going to give you a lecture on something you did." Kari listened but still kept her vision outside the window, wonderin what he could have done.
"He'll also want to remind you to keep your guard up, Scar is still loose and while you were gone he killed two state alchemists." Kari's eyes widened a little bit, eyebrows raised as her head turned from the side window to the front. The military command center could be seen off a little bit into the distance but they were getting close, Riza made a few turns and kept going straight but the base was getting closer.

Kari looked at Al, taking his big leather hand in her own and lifting herself up out of the seat. She turned to Riza and her cheeks still stayed the same cherry color. Kari fretted and bowed then saluted, not knowing which would be best and got caught up doing a weird mixture of both at once before she turned around akwardly and marched off with Al; her hand still glued to his.
She looked after Ed pouting, "He's mad again, what should we do?" She tilted her head to the side, watching him stomp his way up before sighing heavily.

Kari turned her head, looking at the buildings to her side before spotting something down below. "Ah! Al look!" She let go of his hand, her shoes clacking against the pavement while she quickly ran over to the curb of the street. Kari leaned down, bending her knees but not sitting on the floor while she lifted something up and cradled it in her arms before standing up and turning around. "It's a kitty, Al!" She pulled it toward her face, the tiny cat mewling and blinking its eyes slowly. "Does Ed like cats?"

Kari looked down, seeing the little kitten mewling while it closed its eyes; purring and keeping its head still. "Well...maybe we can just keep it a secret, where do you guys live?" She handed the kitten over to Al, who didn't take up too much space in even one of his hands. "Maybe it could work for just a day or two."

Mustang was sitting in his office, hands together and under his chin; already he was irritated with the loud banging. He sighed and ruffled his brow, his head throbbing with anger. "Come in," when the door opened up Mustang focused his eyes on Edward. "So how did your mission go?"
With his hands still together he placed them down, sitting up straighter. "I'm sure that I don't need to tell you that Scar is still on the loose, so keep your guard up. And some activity has been reported in a neighboring city, I might make you go see what's going on if it escalates."

Kari sat down next to him, looking around at the people. She pulled her knees close so she could rest her elbows on it, chin in her hands. [colo=#f26877]"How long is he usually in there?"

Mustang sighed, taking a file that had been on the side of his desk and opening it up. "There have been reports of people missing from Riviere, a few have been found dead. No one's sure if its a serial killer or something else but their have been reports of people seeing a 'strange light' nearby." He closed the file and quickly pushed it aside, "Five people went missing, two showed up dead. We just want you to check it out."

She looked at Al and smiled a bit, suddenly feeling a bit bad. Kari could tell that they stuck to each other and being away from one another seemed sort of sad.

Mustand sat back, frowning a bit as he tilted his head and touched his temple. "Yes, that's all. You're dismissed. Report back in a few days."

"Huh?" Kari turned her head, watching as Edward bounded down the steps excitedly. When he stopped and pointed out the kitten she leaned back a bit frowning but it seemed to be soon forgotten as he turned around and ran off.
Her cheeks became pink as he addressed her, standing up and grabbing the kitten off Al's shoulder and running behind them. "Um, Y-Yes!" She pulled the kitten close to her chest and ran after them.

✿ Kari blinked and looked down, both eyebrows raised making her eyes look larger. "Hm, no. I haven't thought about it, have you?" Her head went from the kitten to Al, even if you couldn't see his expression his radiance practically oozed off of him, the excitement in his voice said it all.





✿ Kari's eyes looked down at Ed, scoping him out. He looked the same since his converstation with the Colonel, he even seemed excited about something. "Where are we going anyways?" The kitten began to wiggle in her hands and Kari pulled it away from herself, her cheeks turning pink as it jittered in her hands.





✿ She turned towards Al, flustered at not knowing the kittens needs and placing it in his hands. Kari bent her body forward, watching as the cat had stopped squirming and got its hind legs, scratching itself behind the ear before sticking out its little pink tongue to lick its paw.

✿ Kari leaned forward and rubbed her on the head with her thumb, "Yeah, that sounds great. I like it." She looked up at Al and smiled, the dim of his spirit creating his eyes but she looked into them anyways because it was still him.





✿ She turned her body a bit, both sides of her hips facing the two brothers while her head was turned toward Ed. "Oh," her hand went down from Alyss' head, meeting the side of her waist. "Doesn't Alphonse usually help you?" She looked back at Al, wondering how much of a mess they had gotten into together; but just by looking at him she didn't have to ask herself too much.





✿ "So which town is it? Do we have to take the train again?" Kari brushed her own cheek, letting her fingers extend into her hair line and keeping them there. Sure the train was nice, not too much motion sickness and you could relax and nap but she had enough trains for today.
