Izumi finally shows up in the mansion. Her long hair that is always put up into a pony tail, was now flowing down her back. Her red dress was long and flowy, with straps that crisscross her back. She wore elbow gloves to complete the outfit, but she still did not wear any make-up.
She felt almost uncomfortable looking around the room and seeing dogs of the military. She was invited though, and she is a woman who respects other people's wishes. She eased on over towards a table that had some refreshments.

Roy smiled and watched her quietly as she walked over to him she was truly more beautiful now than ever before. Her soft skin clad in the romantic light in the garden and the dancing lights reflected from the water casting them selves on to the dark fabric of her dress making the flowing satin look even more like it was a liquid rather than a fabric. As she sat down beside him and crossed her legs Roy drew in a slow breath as her leg reveled its self to him. Not wanting to seem ungallant by starring at her he looked up to the clear summer sky, Venus hung low in the western horizon nearly vanishing behind the tops of trees and houses but shining more brightly than any of the other points of light in the sky. "We came out for fresh air but with you dressed like that I can hardly breath," Roy laughed a little as he looked back to her. "How bothersome, your the only woman I've ever known who was able to reduce my sly confidence to nothing and leave me feeling like a nervous teenage boy, so much for being a sly lady charmer, Grumman would be shaking his head right now, saying things like haven't I taught you anything about how to charm a lady....Looking at you in that dress, it makes me feel like I'm 15 again." Roy again averted his eyes to the sky and fanned him self with the swaying of his left hand as he loosened his collar again. "And that smile your wearing, if your trying to bag your self a husband to night you better watch who you get close to because right now I just may find my self bighting at that hook." Roy smiled as he looked up at the waning gibbous moon and took in a deep breath of cool night air. "Hughes needn't be so concerned with how I feel, I am happy, I feel happier than I have felt in years, I can once again afford to talk about a beautiful future for Amestris. I can have a hand in crafting that future this is why I joined the army in the first place, I finally can begin to become one of the cornerstones of Amestris's future... All the things I talked about with you and Hughes, all of our ideals, Amestris will continue to evolve and it will be for the better thanks to the work we will under take in the coming months. Even though our work isn't done I feel like we can relax a little, after all after going through what we have gone through and coming out on top, I feel like there is nothing we can't handle."

"Fair enough, the fact that your here and dressed up is more than I had expected. Would you like to come along with me over to the dining table. A few of our brothers who had taken part in helping to reverse the transmutation circle are here as well. General Armstrong as given me the task of hiring Ishvarns to help with the reconstruction of Ishball not a single person I've asked so far has said no. However most of the people who are going to take part in the project didn't come tonight. I suspect the animosity towards the Amestrian military is still to much for some to bare. But they don't distrust the military so much to refuse to work along side soldiers in the rebuilding of Ishball so its nice to see that at least when it comes to rebuilding our home land people are willing to set things aside." Miles took a swift drink as he began leading the way over to the dining table. "Have you heard about the plans to build a rail road to triad with Xing? The hopes are that rail road will be opened and running by the time people start moving back to Ishball that will give stable ground for the economy to grow. It's still up in the air if Ishball will return to being a sovereign country or if it will remain a Provence of Amestris. The military will likely want it to remain a part of Amestris. But weather it should or should not remain part of this country, that debate is still a long ways away."

Izumi stood at the food table, feeling a bit uncomfortable. She rubbed her arm as if she was wounded and continued watched the others dance, eat, and have their conversations. She could tell that they were in their own worlds. She wasn't a State Alchemist, so she was one of the rare black sheeps in the ballroom. Everyone else was chatting away about the new changes that were about to be made, and how everything was much easier for them. Izumi sighed as she placed her hand over where her womb would have been. Things haven't changed for her... not one bit. She was childless, wombless, and now lonely. Her students were off doing their own thing, leaving her feel even a bit more lonely. In fact, it looked like Ed was finally getting his head out of his a** and was slowly realizing he was in love with Winry after all. "About time..." She scuffed.
She turned back to the table and lightly poked some finger food. She sighed and closed her eyes, wondering if she should just leave.

"Well to be perfectly honest with you Riza, what I am doing, is simple, I'm just having a little fun." Roy grinned as he took the microphone and sang a back up for Hughes his deep voice sounded smoothly over the microphone. He was not as good a singer as Hughes but he could stay in tune and his deep voice was perfect for the back up parts of the song. After singing a few lines beside Hughes he took Riza by the hand and spun her around dancing as he continued to sing in to the microphone in his right hand as his left hand laced fingers with hers. After a short wile he handed off the microphone and just focused on dancing with her unlike the slow romantic waltz they shared earlier this was far faster and more athletic than a waltz. Roy held on to her hands as they spun around so fast he nearly lifted her feet off the ground then he jerked her close swung her left then right then lifted her into his arms and ducked as he rolled her over his back and back into his arms once more after spinning around with her in his arms he tossed her up into the air and caught her with a devilish grin before dipping her low to the floor of the stage, again he jerked her up for a few seconds only to lower her again this time swiftly swinging her between his legs and as fast as he had done so he pulled her back up to her feet.
Those watching their movements from the audience would have a hard time keeping track of the fast pace. His step was as fast as the music, and each contact his black leather dress shews made with the floor was precise and calculated yet at the same time the dance its self was very lose looking and more silly and fun than serous and romantic. Never the less this stunt was sure to spark all kinds of gossip about them, and though normally Roy was very careful to avoid such gossip spreading stunts at the moment Roy didn't seem to care what people would start to say.
Once the song was over Roy stepped of the stage laughing as he held on to Riza's hand, making sure she didn't stumble as she got off the stage. "Careful, your not too dizzy are you? I need a rest after that lets find a spot to sit down, would you like another drink?"

" Everybody do the twist~!"
Hughes starts doing the twist accopanied be Gracia as she suddenly came upon stage smiling hard with her eyers closed people started doing the twist not as good as the people on stage but still just as enthusiastic. " Come on baaby! Do it like this~! " Shoo wop was suddenly flowing from the band as this fromal celebration transformed into a 1920's speakeasy as the wine was flowing the cigars were burning and people were laughing and dancing, Hughes was glad he decided he came up on stage or else the party would have continued at a slow pace. " All my alchemists say Heeey Hoooo!! " All the alchemist screamed at a loud manner forgetting thier etiquiete and continued dancing. " All my Soldiers say Hidie Hidie Ho!" The soldiers raised thier glasses and shouted alot deeper sounding than the alchemists.

"Actually the railway is a new concept I haven't heard about. I suppose it would help the country pull itself together after the war." Scar answered as he followed Miles. He understood the Ishvalan's animosity towards the military. He felt the same way but still couldn't deny his begrudging respect towards them. Even after they slaughtered his former friends. "Preferably I'd like it to stay sovereign, I don't want it to become a tax write off for Amestris."
