If you think about it Link really is a player!
I mean in Ocarina of Time he gets offered Malon's hand by her father, he's engaged to Ruto, and gets with Zelda.
Majora's Mask there wasn't really all that much romance for link unless you count Tatel. The only action he gets there is a hug from Anju and that's only in the Manga.
In Windwaker he has Zelda.
In Twilight Princess it's Minda Ilia, and Zelda!
That's not counting any of the gameboy games or games I didn't mention. No wonder he's always single. He's a roaming romeo!
My opinion though it would be Zelda, except in Twilight Princess it should be Midna.

I wouldn't mind Link and Zelda. I think she's the best choice out of all of them, but honestly I picture my Hero of Time as single.
I hate Ilia. "Oh Link, thank goodness Epona's okay!"
Toon Link and Tetra's adorable in my opinion, though. (;

Just kidding. I have always imagined Link to go with Malon. I just see them as the cutest couple. No offense but Ilia just seemed to... irk me XD I never liked her.
Midna would have been amazing for Link. However she is the queen of the twili and I don't see Link giving up his life to be with her... Then for the people who say Zelda, there is no way. She is a princess... and there is no way I can see him becoming the King. I have always liked the idea of Malon because she is an ordinary girl and it could actually work for him.

Link & Zelda. They look the best together and plus, it's obvious that Zelda serves Link as his love interest. I seriously think it's going to be ZeLink only happening. Just look at all the interviews, the hints and it's definitely a fact...
... Unless, they're going to give a BITTER sweet relationship, making them forbidden to, sort of love each other...
...Well, that would suck.
And Link and Zelda did place number two for the best video game romance...

In most of the games, especially OoT, I looooove Link and Zelda. It's sorta hard to judge since, with the exception of the manga, Link doesn't have much of a personality until Windwaker and Twilight Princess, but then that makes him more compatible with the others too.
In Twilight Princess though, I most certainly prefer him with Midna. Though Link doesn't have as much of a personality as Midna, they complement each other very well, and you can clearly see a bond between them by the end of the game. Plus Zelda seems more like she could be an older sister-like figure to him. She's a lot more wise than she was in previous. I think in a strategy guide my friend has, it says Zelda is around 23-25, while Link is around 17-19.
I'm not against any couple though, not even Link and Ruto. (Or Link X Ganondorf? XD) As long as it works and they look cute together, it's all good.

You know... Tetra and Toon Link all the way!
Tetra is Zelda, yet she actually has a personality... And an awesome one at that! Seriously, she's cheeky and subtle as opposed to the ultimate wise and god-like role...
Though I like the idea of Malon and Link; Tetra is the best choice. (In WW that is. XD)

In OoT I'm all for Link and Zelda.
In Wind Waker, I'm all for Link and Tetra.
In Spirit Tracks, well Zelda's really the only option, lmao.
Phantom Hourglass? Tetra.
TP? Pff no one. I can't picture him with Midna, Ilia grated against my nerves, and I felt like Zelda had too little of a personality.
So.. Yeah. LinkxZelda/Tetra ftw.
