~Katsu Mitsurugi~
 Katsu slowly stepped forward and took the clothes, he walked out of the room and asked one of the housekeepers to tend to the girl's garments, the maid looked at him curiously and nodded walking away, but not before giving him a suspicious glance. Katsu did not notice the human's action and simply walked back into the room, calmly closing the door.
Katsu began to organize the provisions that he had bought while at the market place, some dried fruits, flint, rope, a knife, some small cups, some pots and pans, and some other camping supplies, he placed them in a bag and set it aside, he then began to reach back into the rest of the items he bought, the merchant said children liked these kinds of toys, Katsu was not too familiar with human children, so he took the man's word for it, he placed the strange object on the table, and then he pulled out a first aid kit, and his gaze became soft,"...This girl does not realize the danger she Is in...however....she seems so content....I must find her a home before she gets involved in this...."
As he was thinking of a plan, he heard a knock on the door, he answered to see a maid with the clothes in her hands,"...E-excuse me...why did you have me wash these clothes?...are you the man with that little girl?" he asked shakily, Katsu gave her a suspicious look, there was two other maids hidden around the corner, one had a kitchen knife and the other had a broom. Katsu pretended not to notice and simply kept his gaze on the rather concerned sounding maid in front of her,"...Yes...Is there a problem?" he asked calmly, she looked at him and took a quick glance in the room,"...Where is she?" she asked with a hint of nervousness, Katsu felt a hint of annoyance, what did these humans want? He decided to continue to answer her barrage of questions,"...In the bath...she is cleaning up" he answered bluntly, the maid gasped,"...Why does she need to clean up?" she asked worriedly, at this point he was getting irritated, Katsu knew he could not tell them she was captured and then involved in the battle earlier, he groaned and looked at her,"...she was playing outside and got dirty...like any other child would..." he said with a hint of annoyance, the maid looked back an then to Katsu,"...Is she related to you?" she asked again, Katsu finally figured out what they may have been getting at, there was a brief moment of hostility in his eyes, but then he sighed,"...These housekeepers are no better than concerned parents...hmmm..." He looked at her and crossed his arms,"...She is my niece...my sister recently passed away and I am taking care of her...however I know little of childcare..." he explained.
There was the sound of a broom and a metal object hitting the ground, the other two rushed him, clamoring at the door, saying things that had something to do with sympathy and asking about Akira and then some other things, however they were talking over each other, so he did not catch much, finally they stopped,"...Sorry for disturbing you sir...here are the child's clothes..." she said quietly, handing him Akira's garments, then one of the maids spoke up,"...Ummm....may I make a suggestion?"Katsu looked over as the maid spoke up and listened to her idea.

 x x xAkira KusanabeindentAkira soon slipped out of the tub, mindful not to slip as she pulled the drain. Drying herself off with the towel, she walked lightly over as she knocked on the door. "Ehh....Katsu? Are they ready?" She heard a lot of voices, which confused her a bit. Was someone else there as well?

Katsu simply looked at them, "...I see...alright...thank you...." He said quietly as they finally speaking with one another. Katsu nodded and stepped back as he heard the door knock,"...It seems she Is cleaned up and ready to come out..." he said calmly, "Thank you for your help..." he said softly, then before he stepped away, one of the housekeepers stopped him,"...Here use this...sometimes residents will leave behind clothes, and never retrieve them, so we wash them up and keep them in case they ever become useful...I looked around and found this...It is uncomfortable to sleep with your normal clothes on, so they use these to wear to sleep...Im sure it should fit her...Its a nightgown...please take it." she explained as she handed him the blue garment. Katsu took it from her hands and placed it on the towel,"...I think I understand, thank you." he finally said as he closed the door. He walked over to the bathroom door and placed the towel and garments on top of a small table near the door,"...Here...you can wear this to sleep in..." he said, and turned around and headed back to continue shifting through his equipment.

x x xAkira KusanabeindentAkira opened the door just a bit as she saw the pile on the table. Quickly snatching it, she soon was dressed in the nightgown, which fit her okay, but was a tad bit over sized and long, the end trailing down to the ground. She exited the bathroom, the towel over her hair. "Thank you Katsu!"
indentindentindent" Eh? It's just me and Katsu-san, then who were those voices? "

Katsu paid no mind as the girl grabbed her belongings and then got dressed, finally he turned as he heard his name, she had an adorable smile as she thanked him, he was aware that the housekeepers knew what they were doing, but he did not show any emotions like that, instead, he simply nodded,"...Im glad it fits you...now, its important for you to eat...so I got some f-" there was another knock at the door, Katsu answered to see two more maids standing in front of him with a pot of soup and two bowls,"....That child needs to eat good food while she is here...please be sure to give her this...Im sure it will serve you well..." Kaze silently picked up the pot and bowls with little effort, "...Thank you...I will be sure to find a way to thank you..." The maid gave him a cheerful smile and closed the door. Katsu turned to face the young girl,"...The housekeepers made you some food...you have a long day tomorrow so you will need to eat..." he explained calmly.

x x xAkira KusanabeindentAkira peeked out as she saw the housekeepers, blinking in surprise. Seeing the hot soup she brightened up as she made her way to the small table where Katsu set down the pot and bowls. Carefully ladling the hot food out, she also put some in the second bowl for Katsu. "You should eat some too!"
indentBlowing lightly she took a small sip as she winced. "Ow!" She nearly burned herself on it, but it tasted good!
indentindent" Ouch! It's hot! "

~Katsu Mitsurugi~Katsu looked at her and shook her head,"...There is no rush Akira...slow down and enjoy your meal...then you can go to sleep..." He said calmly, he looked at the second bowl, he knew he was a little hungry, he looked at the food and then nodded, taking a bowl, he silently took a few bites, the first one burned him, however he did not show it. He simply looked at it and blew on it slightly, taking another bite. He placed the bowl on the table for a moment. He looked at the girl for a brief moment,"...How could this young girl wind up in the streets...It still is truly beyond me..." He looked down towards something on his clothes and then took a deep breath,"...Don't be afraid to get some more If you are still hungry..." he said as he picked the bowl up again.

x x xAkira KusanabeindentAkira nodded as she helped herself to another bowl, learning from her past mistake as she blew softly on it before eating. Her eyes strayed to the toy that Katsu had set on the table. It was a large white bunny and it easily caught her attention as she reached over to poke it gently.
indentGiggling with laughter she pulled the soft plushie over as she hugged it lightly. "Uwahh~~ This is so cute!" Temporarily forgetting about finishing her dinner as she played with the bunny rabbit's long ears.

Katsu looked over as the toy caught her eye, "Hm?...It seems you found your gift..." He placed the bowl back down and stood up Putting away the rest of the equipment,"...Don't forget Akira...you found that gold...that makes it yours...and this toy was simply a thanks for freeing me from those bindings..." He explained simply, he looked over at the girl, completely embracing the simply plush with adoration, he was rather surprised, "I'm glad you like it...It will be for your own comfort...be sure to finish you meal and then you can play with it as much as you like, and be sure to get some rest...It can accompany you as you fall asleep..." he said simply. He turned and placed the last of the equipment in a bag and then stepped towards her again, something about seeing her like this made him feel...strange, however he simply ignored it and looked on as she played with her new companion.

x x xAkira KusanabeindentAkira nodded as she set the bunny back up on the table where she found it. She ate slowly as she listened him talk. Soon enough she was done, after wiping away traces of her meal with a napkin she later discarded into the wastebasket. She took down the rabbit to hug smiling as she plopped herself on one of the bed that was not occupied by Katsu and his things saying, "I'm going to name it Demo!"
indentShe then turned to ask Katsu a question, completely out of child curiosity. "Why did they take you?"
indentindent" The bed's so soft!! "

Katsu sat down on the bed and and nodded,"...Demo it is..." He said calmly, he looked at her curiously,"...Why would a Human child name a stuffed animal?..." he wondered curiously. As he began to consider the thought, Akira had asked him, a rather interesting question, "...Why did they take me?..." he repeated, Katsu was silent for a moment,"...This child...she cannot know who I really am...and she Is not like other humans, I cant tell her why..." he looked at her and then sighed,"...I dont really know...but there were alot of people looking for me...they tricked me and caught me, and they were going to make money by giving me to the people looking for me...at least...thats what I heard them say...." He said quietly, he knew exactly what they wanted and why they captured him, but he was not about to tell this human child that she had made an acquaintance with such a dangerous person. Katsu was silent for a moment and then realized something,"...Akira...how....how did you wind up caught with those men though?...A girl like you should not even be near those kind of people...

x x xAkira KusanabeindentAkira nodded slowly, silently accepting his answer. It sounded logical to her at least. 'If they did it to me and Katsu, does that mean there's more people they took? But why? What did we ever do to them. I never even saw them before...' She frowned, just simply deciding that she would hate those kind of people.
indentThen he asked her how she ended up being caught. No other place then to start from the beginning, "My parents are both dead. I've been living on the streets for about one or two years, I don't remember anymore. One of them gave me an apple to eat, and then when I woke up I was in that place and escaped with you" That was probably the short version to her story, since she was sure Katsu wasn't one to fuss over exact details to what happened. Well, she was fairly sure.
indentindent" Those big meanies, taking people just to make money... "

Kojiro was silent, "...I'm sorry...I did not mean to make you bring that up..." he said quietly, he remembered when he was chained up, he saw them bring her in. He was quiet for a moment as he sat on his bed,"...So...that's it...she isn't lost...she is alone...another human took advantage of her...and used an illusion of kindness to capture her...that may explain that fear in her eyes when I saw her...she is not telling me everything though...perhaps she may not want to....no need to press for any more painful answers..." he figured, He took a deep breath and looked at her,"...Akira...go to sleep...Thats all behind you now...lets not dwell on the past..." he said softly.

x x xAkira KusanabeindentAkira obeyed, clutching Demo in one arm as she climbed underneath the covers. Resting her head on the pillow, she hadn't slept in anything this nice and soft in a very very long time. Turning so she would face away from Katsu, she held the stuffed animal very tightly as she smiled to try to cheer herself up. She whispered lightly to herself as she allowed herself to drift off to sleep. "At least I won't have to sleep in the gutter again...."
indent"Sing us a song, Kira-chan!" A young woman said, her arm lovingly intertwined with a tall man. A younger version of Akira, playing in a flower meadow, smiled as she said, "Hai! What should I sing?" The tall man chuckled and said, "Anything you like!" The small girl's mile grew even wider as she opened her mouth to sing a cheerful song that could lift up the saddest of spirits. It faded out to black as the voice stopped singing. The girl kept on singing, and then gunshots broke out. The singer's voice soon turned into a heartbroken cry as she screamed for her parents, "Otou-san!!! Okaa-san!!!"
indentUnknowingly, the orphaned girl started crying softly in her sleep. Tears streaming down as they hit the pillow as she sniffed softly, clutching her new toy closer to her as she buried her head under the blankets and pillows
indent" They're gone...forever...there's no way I can get them back "

Katsu simply looked at her as she went to sleep,"...Can humans really be this cruel?..." he wondered to himself, he was aware he had lost his immortality, He knew Akira had fallen asleep, he removed his coat and then looked at his shoulder, it was wounded, the injury had been treated poorly, however it seemed to have healed slightly he began to work on it silently as he wondered to himself, "...To be human...to feel pain and grow tired...what good is it to be like this?..." he thought inwardly, the child was alone in the world, It seemed there was more to her than he thought. He sighed, he had regained some of his power since the incident however, at this point he was simply not injured as easily, and he could grow tired, but at a slower rate. He got to his feet as he went to dispose of the tattered bandages. Just then something caught his eye, Akira was...crying?, he watched as she had tightly clutched her toy, his eyes softened, he stepped towards her, he lightly placed his hand on her cheek,"...Just as I thought...I will find you a home...and a new family to take care of you...perhaps you truly be happy then..." he whispered.
